They are all scams. It's annoying but if you don't give them what they want-they cannot do anything your arm you. You better hang on when they call, because if you don't and let it ring they will call as long as it takes to reach you.

Their is also another huge scam going on: People claiming of working for Microsoft call you about your Internet connection or your windows7.

same here, call once i asn't home , than again i answered nobody at the end of the line aug. 25th 2012 seem's to me it,s been going on for quite a while...

Ils appellent 1-2 fois par jour depuis une semaine, mais il n'y a personne au bout du fil.  Je vais parler evec RBC pour voir et porter plainte je suis sur LNNTE pourtant.  Ca m'énerve !

I've put them on my blocklist on my phone so every time they called it's hang up the call before it let my phone ring,who have a celler phone get the anroid app called "CALL CONTROL" and trust me you've be FREE of these idiots for good..

These people that calling my house at 21h35 are asking for trouble. Haven't they heard that calling after 8pm is illegal. I pick up the phone and they quickly hang up, otherwise I would be giving them s**ts for calling at that time! Frigging Pricks!

If you have a business relationship with RBC ( bank account, credit card etc..)  they are permitted to call you even if your number is on the NDNCL.  You need to ask this devision of RBC company to place your number onto their internal do not call list and they have 31 days to comply to that request.  If they do not comply, you can file a complaint to the NDNCL and they will investigate this call!

This number repeatedly contacts me. They call at least once a day every day for a period of 4 or 5 days, and then again a few weeks later. The one time I answered, they were calling about doing surveys for RBC, yet RBC is not affiliated with this number. The most recent time they called...they left a voicemail message. The message was approximately 4 MINUTES of HOLD MUSIC.

Telemarketing at it's very best shall we say !!!!
Call the national DNCL list on : 1-866-580-DNCL (1-866-580-3625) and request that your number (that they are calling) is put on this list.
There is a caveat however as this does not totally remove any possibility of any marketing calls being made to your number, however you will have legal recourse should the remit be broken once registered.

I'm an RBC customer too and they are calling every day this week. Answered a few times, ready to tell them to die in hell as I usually do with telemarketing, but nobody even answers, so I'm not sure what the heck is the goal of calling...

We are on the DNCL, but still get these calls

RBC surely failed in the customers' privacy; and it is just a matter of time it will be sued and exposed to the public media.  I sent an internal official complaint, and the span stopped for just 1 week, then re-started all over again.  It is a never-ending most-disguested story!  The only way is to switch to another bank and request to opt out of from any promotional call.  I am sending complaints to the Canadian Council of Better Business Bureaus, and the CRTC for spam and harrassment. RCMP should be informed, or at least inquire the parliament members for an act for this.

what company feels that where not important enough to leave us a message  stop calling

if after more than 3 weeks they call at least 3 times a day including evening , don't they get it that I do not want to be solicitated for what ever they care to make me the the proud ...............

It might be really a call about insurance that RBC is selling. Sometimes, the bank hire third party to speak about the insurance that they can receive with their services.

I dont know if its that kind of call, but if you want to be sure you can call directly RBC, they are suppose to have the information.

Again, it is not all the employees from RBC who have the information. Some of them just dont care of their job, so they dont verify.

No need for paranoia with that kind of case.

It might be some people that just want to take over your informations, but it can also be simply a RBC annoying third party.

Just dont give any personnal informations, and if you are interested if the product they are offering, hung up and call directly your bank to have it. It's the safest way to protect your personnal informations.

Once you give any card number, it's becoming an agreement between you and the person, even if you didnt know that they will use your card number in a non knowable way. The bank will not be able to assist you as a fraud case if you give your personnal info and card number, you will have to get by the chargeback process.

Im with RBC, they are scammers, they probably have all your personal information. Told them to f*ck off and i hang up on them. I called my bank, they confirmed that they have never called me, and also verified if there was any fraudulent transactions.

I have had a call from this number too. some body asked me if I am or not. he asked me if I can speak in french or English. and he KNOWS my name!!!!!!! who is he?? and finally he told me some one else will give you a call for speak in english!!
