Received a call at 6:45 a.m. Said he was from the California Medical Dept. (as if such a dept. exists). Had medical compensation for me regarding a prior surgery. I told him no state department would be calling me at that hour. He said their office opened at 6:30. I insisted they still don't call the public at that hour of the day. Wanted to confirm my name, address, and phone number which I refused to do. "Ma'am, you had surgery long time ago, no? What kind of surgery you have? ok?" He listed off a bunch of surgical procedures. Told him I had never had surgery and he hung up.

Message left on my machine:
"Hi. This is Mike (sounded like Mike) from Cash Advance Mutual. The reason behind my call is to inform you that your loan application was accepted. For further process I want you to call me back to my loan officer. He will further assist you regarding your loan. My loan office telephone number is 888-459-0435. I repeat, one triple eight, 459 0435. Thank you and have a wonderful day?"
Never heard of this company before today. Scammers I am sure. Pakistani/Indian accent. I immediately added this number to my phone's call block list.
