Tried to call both numbers today to get information to pass on to the Attorney General's office. the 888 number just gives a fast busy signal and the fake investigator number does nothing. The names that were given for the workers were Rose at ext. 357 and Dan Stevens at ext 333. Ask for proof of the debt before doing anything.

company said they were collecting for a payday loan company. When asked for proof of debt, they just threatened me. Said they were Nationwide Credit Collection. Also had a fake investigator call me with a local number (515-984-8099). When you call that number back the recording says "this investigator line cannot accept messages". All designed to sound real. Then they have this guy ask where you want your charges served to you. All by the way, illegal. They are not lawyers and it is illegal for debt collectors to threaten you.
