Got this about 4 time today.

This number keeps calling my cell about 4 times a day for the past 4 days, never leaves message.

I've read somewhere that it's a credit card offer scam and they will try to get your SSN number.

Called two days in a row now.  I refuse to answer the phone because I don't want them to continue calling.  Readout reads Lending Service, but I see various reports about it all across the web.

Its actually a credit card service on behalf of mastercard and some other card. call the number back and they'll put you on the Do Not Call list but it would take some time to come into effect, but it does.

Quit calling me

I called the number back.  

She asked for my name and I gave her a fake first name, she asked for last name and I said I'd rather not and just gave her my phone number to remove.  She barely spoke English but she was 100% professional and she did verify she took my number off but that it might take a month or so for calls to ultimately stop.

I don't want any more phone call from these people, they don't quit calling even thought they have been asked to stop

i just got my new number 7 days ago and i keep receiving call from this number 1-888-466-1258 its shows up unavailable and they call all different times of the day and night but dont leave messages so i decided to check it out on the net and i see i am not the only one getting calls from this number i have also requested to be off their do not call list hopefully it works its only been 2 days since i requested #crossfinger#

I have asked repeatedly for this number to stop calling me and i am told that i have to contact my bank to be removed from the list. For one, the bank that I have is not allowed to give my information out to other people and two I have a newborn baby and calling 7 times in one day is crazy. It's called have respect. I don't have credit cards and don't believe in them...I'm not stupid enough to take on a credit card with high interest charges attached. I believe if you don't have the money in your pocket to buy something then you just don't need it!!!!!!!!

Called us every day but did not speak when I picked up the phone.

I just rec'd a call from this #, it was a guy, he asked for my husband. When I answered that he was at work, but I could take a message, the guy answered back saying "there isn't really a message, I'll just call back at another time." I was trying to interrupt him to get his attention to ask him which company he was with but he just kept talking until he hung up like he couldn't be bothered to hear me. I tried calling the # back but only got a busy signal. I find this really frustrating and I want to stop getting these calls! Who is this company and why would they be calling, what is their purpose? Because they're NEVER going to get my husband on the phone, he works 75 hours a week! Am I going to continue to get these calls and get hung up on as I am trying to ask who they are? Don't we have the right to privacy, and the right to know who is calling our home, harassing us like this?

This is one of about 4 numbers that have been calling constantly. I never have a message just see that they keep calling at random hours each day on my caller id. How can I get this to stop?

HSBC you are scam and scum!!!!

You would have to be stupid to tell a bunch of unsophisticated consumers that they are stupid.  Many people are not aware and often times scared by the tactics and threats made in your attempts to collect debts.  This often overshadows their judgment.  

"There is abundant evidence of the use of abusive, deceptive, and unfair debt collection practices by many debt collectors. Abusive debt collection practices contribute to the number of personal bankruptcies, to marital instability, to the loss of jobs, and to invasions of individual privacy."  See 15 USC 1692(a)"Abusive Practices".  

By the way, the contact number for the service provider of this number is 1-800-732-5689, and I urge all consumers being harassed to file complaints with their local Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commission each and every time there is an abusive and repetitive hisotry of call made by these hounds.

Same details as all on the list here.  So much for the do not call list.  I'll bet your Congressmen and Senators don't get this crap.  Maybe we all should call them after 9 PM like these idiots do and demand they stop them.  We were promised the do not call list would stop this.

Just got a call from 888-466-1258, but didnt answer it.  It is 8:50 pm and too late to be getting phone calls from telemarketers. I decided to search its origin online and found this website.

I'm getting calls throughout the day and evening with caller id only showing the number 888-466-1258.  I don't pick up the phone unless it is id'd with a name.  No message is ever left.

What he has also forgotten to mention is that he has stated in 3 different occasions that it takes 1 2 or 3 months to remove you from the list.

What bothers me being a computer programmer is that i know for sure that it doesn't take more then 15 seconds to remove someone from a database.

Why even maybe a week?

If you want to get out of the Indian call center, ask for a Spanish representative.

Indians don't speak spanish.  They will transfer you to an American call center who handles Spanish calls.

I have an advanced PBX system at my office.  These guys decided to spam my home phone last night looking for some Italian guy (I'm Irish).

So, for the last 3 hours I have been tying up their lines with robo calls aimed at their 888 number.    They are out of commission for a little while  HAHAHAHAHAHA

RIDICULOUS how many times this number calls us.  I ignore it every time but it's beyond absurd at this point.
