I got a call today 12/11/14. Called the number back and got an automated attendant who "thanked me for calling Verizon Wireless"

I have gotten calls from this number over the past few days. I have not answered. I looked it up online to see what people were saying. After getting yet another call from them today, I called them back. It was not the normal female Verizon voice, but it was a recording saying it was Verizon wireless. A male then proceeded to ask me for my name and number. I hung up and called Verizon Wireless. They looked into this and told me that it was NOT them. Our Verizon accounts are marked each time they try to contact us, and my account showed NO contact had been attempted from them. They do not know who it was. I still do not know what they wanted, but I sure am glad that I did not give them any of my information.

I am on the DO NOT call lists and have been for some time!!!!!
I feel something more should be done 501 C (3), non profit, religious, service agencies or not something needs to be done.
If they do it on purpose they block when the kids are calling home at that time and the kids can't get through on the phone.

This number showed up on my caller id as unknown not sure who it is, if verizon wireless my bill is not due yet.

I receive calls from this number every day. I finally called it back today and got a recording that this number could not be dialed from my phone. Called it back thinking I dialed it wrong but I had not.... same recording. Very strange!
