Same stuff as you gus are getting. multiple calls from this same 888 number and when I called back the automated service said they would need information. I hung up at that point and disregarded it. Later in the afternoon they call back again and this time left a message saying they were from citi whatever and it was a personal account call.

got a call from them this morning, similar to what others had. The individual would not identify WHO he worked for, only to say it was about one of my CITI cards.  Since I did not initiate the call, I did not give out any information as to the number.  I did verify my phone number, which their system did recognize.  After about 15 minutes of escalating issues - since I would not give out my info, and they would only give out theirs IF I gave mine first, I asked to speak to a supervisor.  This too was turned down.

I did find out I was SIX DAYS LATE in a payment of $28.50 - this through online Citi website - and went and paid the bill.  Then called CITI directly with the number on the back of the card.  I expressed my displeasure of how the situation was handled.  The individual at Customer Service was VERY helpful.

I looked up Citi Client First on the web (https://www.payment.citi.com/citiclientfirst.aspx) and got their contact info.  The first lady I spoke to was quite helpful and understanding and she put me through to a supervisor.  That individual, however, was about as big a prick as the first guy this morning.  He explained that without me giving ALL my information (CC number, expir date, CVC on back, home address, phone number) the 'customer support people' are instructed to NOT allow the call to go any further.

Seems the CLIENT FIRST leaves a lot to be desired!!!!!!!!!!1

someone called me repeatedly from this number (like 10 times in 3-4 days). i finally answered it and they claimed to be "citi first preferred' or something like that. an automated response asked me to type in my zip code, which i did not do, so and i was redirected to customer care.  a woman answered and immediately asked for my name and the full credit card number that i was calling about.  i stated that i would not give her that information. she said 'then what can i help you with?'  i told her that her number called me.  she stated that no, 'i' called them.  i hung up.

I received this call. Just like previous calls, they said they were from Citi. I said I had to go and would call back. I called Citibank and asked if they had called my number. They check their logs and said there were no calls coming from them. This seems like it is someone/some group who might be trying to do identify fraud.

They called me two days in a row with the same recorded message that I was late paying my Citi card.  The first day they said I owed $28, the second day I owed $53.  I must be accumulating late fees of $25 per day.  I wonder what I will owe tomorrow?  This is obviously a scam since I don't even have an active Citi card!  If you listen long enough they give an address to send the money to: PO Box 183037, Columbus, OH, 43218-3037.  The checks are probably piling up from the fools who fall for this trick.

I found the number to be legit...after I ignored it a few times. Finally answered and got some woman who could barely speak English and had a really bad phone connection. She identified herself as a rep from Citi Cards and asked for my billing ZIP....i do have Citi cards so that was the ONLY info I was willing to provide w/o more verification. Took a few minutes but FINALLY learned that they were calling about my Home Depot card (which has been taken over by Citi)!!
She had given me the last 4 of my account number which over the garbled phone sounded very much like the last 4 of my other Citi card but her due dates were not at all jiving so I thought it was a SCAM also. She definitely pushed hard to give her payment info over the phone and I refused saying I would look into it when I was home and would make a payment if I had forgot (which I had).
Had she simply identified that she was calling regarding HOME DEPOT by Citi it would would have been much nicer conversation on my end.

I received a call from this number yesterday and based on the information above, I did not respond to it.  I received an email, legitimate, to call that same number at CitiCard today.  They were telling me that the payment I had mailed on Oct 16 had not showed up.  They knew things no one else would know about my cards with them.  I was appreciative of their efforts and told them about the phone number.  I thanked them for sending the email on record so I could take rectify the problem with the no show of that particular payment.  It is legitimate.

This is a call from Citicard.  You have an account past due.  It could be Citicard Visa.  They also do Sears and other store credit cards.

Got a call on my cell and my home phone as well while I was at work. I could barely understand the message as it was a poor connection which immediately made me cautious. I hung up but figured I would google the number anyway. Same as everyone else here I am 100% sure it is a phishing scam. These people should be shot directly between the eyes. They serve absolutely no purpose in our society.

Guy with a foreign accent called me and wanted my account number.  I said no and I asked him why he called me.  He just went into a canned monolog.  Clearly a scam.   I hung up.

I received a text from this number to either call or reply QUIT to not receive texts from them anymore.  I replied so they've decided to call me twice within an hour period.  I missed the first call but answered the second after reading other posts on here.  I went through the process of pushing 2 for saying it wasn't ME on the line and then pressed 2 again saying I was unavailable and then pressed 3 saying it was not my number.  A real person then came on the line and asked for me.  I told her she had the wrong number and that the number called does not belong to the person she's trying to reach.  She hung up.  =)

I have been getting around 3 calls a day from this number and they start at 8 am. This has been going on for 2 months. When I called the number back to see if I could get a company name and file a complaint, a recorded message says "This number is not in use" Oh really???? The day is just starting and there have already been 2 calls today and 4 yesterday from this "not in use" phone number! I set up a call block on this  but I still get the one ring every 3 hours. How can I miss them when they won't go away?
