This number called my cell phone at 2:56 am on June 15, 2011. No voice mail was left.  How can these scammers be shut down?

4:15 was my wake-up time from this number.  It rang twice, then hung up with no message left.   Like everyone else, I tried to call the number back and got silence no matter what number I pressed.  If you have Verizon Wireless, you can log into your account and get the number blocked.  I'm going online right now.

My phone allows a reject call list so that's where it went. I didn't answer.

A call came in on our cell phone at 3:55 a.m.... June 15, 2011....I missed the call so I called back thinking it was a family emergency....a voice mail with young mans voice said press one if you want to be removed....no name or anything....  very suspicious....  and to call at that time in the morning....was awful!!!

Cell phone rang at 3:15 in the morning, what jerks !!!

How did a robodialer get my number and how do I stop?

got a phone call from 888-475-5228 at around 11 pm , recording saying it was from Suntrust Master card and that my card has been rob or blocked (recording too fast and i was half asleep) to dial 1 to connect to fraud division, dont remember if i got to dial 1, as call was shut ?!

Joy, I received mine at 2:17am.  Aren't we extra lucky.

I received a call from this number at 3:39am EST. Not happy

Got a caal from this number just after midnight. I only answred it for the fact that I was going to yell at whoever was there, alas nobody was.

Got a call from 888-475-5228 on my cell.  No message.  I called back and got a recorded message to press 1 to remove my number or 2 to speak to a live rep. Pressed 2 and got disconnected called back and pressed 1.

Same - got a call at 1:30am from this number saying there was an issue with an HSBC card... which I don't have. Very irritating. I am on the no-call list.
Can't something be done about this?

I am also on do not call list and got a call from them at 1:30 am on a thursday!  Scared the crap out of me and obv woke me up and was so angry bc lost an hour of sleep over this!  I can't believe they'd have the audacity to call in the middle of the night!!

I just got a call tonight like 12 midnight on my cell didn't answer it and now message glad i looked this up thought it might be a scam

This same automated system called my phone from two different numbers. This is one of them, and the other was (818) 309-1009. It said my HSBC card was locked due to fraud and that I should press 1 to unlock it, or 2 to be transferred to their security team. I pressed 2 to speak to someone about this being the second bogus call I'm receiving and the call gets dropped.

Scam call.  Don't have credit card from HSBC or whoever they mubled over the phone.  My cell is on a no-call list so not sure how they got my number.  B*****ds.

a "law firm" who will help you if you have debt.  Was rude when I told him I was on the Do Not Call list; he said, "Well obviously you're NOT!".

Got a call from this phone number.

This is the second time today I have had my clients come in to report that WAMU called from this number due to a "blocked" card. Trust me, there are no more WAMU cards - we switched to Chase years ago!!! Phishing Scam... just hang up and call your phone company to have this number blocked!!!

I recived call on my cell phone with an automatic message that my Debit Card was blocked, no Bank Name and to unblock the account to enter 16 dogit card number. Beacause I was busy I did not do any think and I called my bank leter. They said, that bank would never ask you for that number.

This is clearly a fraudulent call reading these reports. Received a call approximately 2am on march 8. Slept through it but would turn into an 800 lb gorilla if it work me up and decimate them into a vat of banana purée.

Just got a call, message claimed to be from wesbanco and my account had been locked like all above.

Thought it might be identity theft or something so I called back (doh), pressed 2 for a live person, and it just repeats your phone number and hangs up.

Fun times.

Definitely a scam.  Got a similar message to everyone else.  In my case they stated my WesBanco account had been frozen.  Curious, since I don't have a WesBanco account.

Just got the call 5 minutes ago.  The robo voice said Wes Banco.  I have no account there.  Scam!

Just got a call from this number on my cell.  It says my account with West Banco?? has been locked, I don't have an account with them.  It also told me to press 1, I did before I realized what was going on and nothing happened.  I hope this number gets shut down!!

its a scam to get your personal info to fraud against you.

i just got the phone call & i called all my cc accounts & it is a scam. they informed it is a way to commit fraud against you.

I just got a call from this number and it told me that my account has been locked and it will deactivate. To press 1 will reactivate my account.  I called the number back and I got a recording saying:  press 1 to remove and press 2 to speak to a live person. But there is no live person.
