However, it is evident that your understanding of the DNC list is sadly lacking.

The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list  is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.

They only call you if you already have their insurance. The visit is something that Is already included with your insurance plan.  It is done annually. At no time will anyone ask or pressure you to purchase insurance.

They called my mother 3 times and never left a message.  I saw it was from Coventry on this site and told her.  She called the # on her caller ID and they tried to schedule her for a free in-home health evaluation.  They sell health insurance so this was most likely a veiled sales presentation.  She declined.  

Have several calls day and night.  
Annoying.

I have Magic Jack and have received several calls from this number. They never leave a message. And call evenings and days.

I have Time Warner phone service and I got a call from this number.  What good does the No-Call list do?  I am on it but get minimum of a couple of calls a day from solicitors (I assume as I don't answer them - they go to the answering machine but they never leave a message).

This is coventry health care.   They have called us numerous times to set up an appointment time for their in-home health evaluation.    Keep telling them I DON'T WANT IT.

Yes I think I've finally figured out why all of a sudden (over the last few months) an array of incoming calls have started blowing up my cell phone.  FYI--I have a prepaid cell phone which uses AT&T's towers so they are the provider of my service although I use TracFone.  
Anyway I believe that AT&T is either responsible for selling numberous cell phone numbers and digital home phone numbers.  I think they do this in order to force you to use up more minutes on your phone; therefore, forcing you to buy more prepaid cards and minutes more often.  
This is just my thought anyone else may weigh in.
