I also got calls at my work from this "Jennifer Phillips" person. My boss sent me an embarrassing email saying she called and asked what my jobs policy is on "court summons". My boss informed her there is not a "policy" and she said to have me call her at 877-912-1546. I called that number and all it says is, "Thanks for calling Capital."
I think it's a scam too. I did default on a payday loan I took out online months and months ago.

I received several threatening calls at work and home from this number. She claims to be Jennifer Phillips. She says she is NOT a debt collector and claims to be from both Erie County Processing and Capitol. Claims there is a court summons and threatened to hold my company responsible if I did not contact her immediately. She claims that she will send a sheriff to my work place to serve me. She gave very detailed reasons for her calls to the receptionist and left a nasty voice mail to my payroll. When I spoke to Ms. Phillips, she became aggressive, demanding that I pay immediately or she would send someone into the workplace for me. I told her that she called 12 times in one day to my work and that she left a harassing vm, at first she tried to deny it. When I told her the vm and calls were all logged, she became agitated, told me I had no right to request documents and that I was going to be served and there was nothing I could do. I told her not to call my work as did the receptionist, 6 times before the receptionist hung up. Jennifer Phillips continued to call. I called her back after obtaining legal advice, informed her that I would not take any more calls at either number. She said she would call as much as needed. I told her she could serve me at home and she said she will serve me at work and get a sheriff to do so if necessary. Then she hung up on me. My attorney attemopted to find the company or Ms. Phillips, which can not be done because she appears to be a scam artist. The calls were about a previous payday loan.
