Got the text Bank of America text while shopping out of state. Thought maybe it had to do with the various hotel charges, so I looked at all of BOA customer service numbers and of course, it didn't match. From there I googled the number and found this website; love this site and the ppl who report on it! Block the number and forget about it. Those who called should check their phone bills to make sure it wasn't that scam that charges you when you call.

Google call blocking apps and see if you can find one that works for your phone.

How or where do you complain? I got a txt this morning from 617 620 66 saying to call the 888 number. From "bank of america" and then later in the evening from "wells fargo". Calling the number results in "non-working number". what are these calls used for?

Text says "(Please call Bank of America @888-478-5810) Checking Accnt Issue."

I don't have an account with BoA and I've received this twice. Definitely not calling or responding but absolutely deleting. Any way we can stop this?

just got a txt message. Urgent message from Bank of America. You attention is needed. Blocked it.

Left a voice mail message saying "Immediate Attention..... call Bank of America".  
Yeah, right.  On a Sunday afternoon?  Not likely.  Not ever.

Tried to call back and it's not a working number. Thanks goodness no one picked up. Seems yo be a scam. It said urgent notification from bank if America.

This is a scam that has somehow gained access to Verizon information. They sent a text to 2 different numbers on my Verizon account that have no other connection.

They text you saying your immediate attention is required and to call compass bank 18884785810. I dont even bank with them. Then i tried calling the number and it says the number is not in service. and they have sent 2 messages already so they need to stop. SCAM

Do not respond to this text. IT IS A SCAM. You can call your local branch. These people are trying to get your personal information.
