How do I report them to the Attorney General?  It appears they have called me 6 times/day every day for 3 weeks.  I've gotten 3 messages from Megan.

I got a call too from Megan at Richard Schume's office regarding pending litigation against" someone I've never heard of and who "listed me as their contact".  Why can't these calls be stopped?  I even have an unlisted number and they are calling over and over again.

i have honestly sat here and read all these comments and i am only on here to say yes they did call me a few times however i work crazy hours and yea i spoke to someone there and if they r and law office or a collection place bottom line is i still took out the loan and owed it... so i manned up and paid it. i have dealt with many collection places before and they we demanding and rude. this place put me on a fair payment plan. i got not only an email also a letter in the mail that my cousin who is an attorney looked over and varified as proper documentation. further more he did some checking and found out this mr shum guy is ny bar certified... i dont know whats really going on there at all im just giving my experience.... thank you all for reading have a nice day....

Do you have an address for this law office.  I plan to send a certified cease and desist letter for calls made AND report them to the AG.  Would be glad to do so.  May sue because they gave information about the debt to an outside party.....will make them pay for sure.  Never got a letter in the mail from them stating the debt and who and IF there was an originanl debt, this is a FCDPA violation.  They can pay me and I would be glad to collect.  Does anyone have the address of this fool?

I went thru the whole scenario.  Was even stupid enough to let them eft two payments.  If you do research you will find it's the Law office of Richard Shum.  They collect under the name of Assets Management.  The direct number is:  212.201.0722.  If you call they will ask you how you got that number.  They also called several times before 7am not leaving a message.  The last time they called it was 6:51.  They will deny they called so keep the call with time/date.  The bottom line is that I filed a complaint against them with our Attorney General & it scared the hell out of them.  They will promise to send you the 'proof of debt' by email - which is a word document with the information.  I made them send me a hard copy.  They will say they will call you back at 5pm (EST) & won't.  When I called them on the direct number they did a dance.  First they said they responded to the AG as the debt 'settled'.  That's why they didn't send the email. I blew up & told them it wasn't settle until I said so.  He said that they would stop the auto draft & settle with the amount paid.  I told him no deal.  After a bit more conversation I told him I was sending a f/u email to the A/G documenting all the conversations. At this point he 'caved' & asked me what I want.  I told him a refund of all the money they took.  He said he would credit back my account.  Told him NO.  I wanted it in hard copy check.  He says it will be mailed Monday & told it better & he better stop playing these games with me.  A search on the Internet under the the name Robert Shum will show that he has been SUED in various states.  It appears he changes the name of Assets Management to a different one & starts all over.
You can shut this down by doing the same thing.

I also received a message on an unlisted & unpublished number today. The woman said her name was Ms. Allen with Law office of Richard "Shoen" or "Shum" not sure on the last name. They started the message with accordance to Federal, local and state laws there has been a claim against " My name & social security number associated with that name" I need to contact Ms. Allen at 1-888-480-6640 ext. 731. This matter is important and I need to contact them immediately as it is being filed in a court of law.
Sounds fishy to me. After looking the phone number up online, it seems that it is a scam. They also stated they had called before. This is the 1st one.

Prior to this call there have been 3 others that said the same thing but for a completely different name I'd never heard of.
I think my mistake was calling them back to let them know that no one by that name lived here.
Funny thing was that when I called regarding the other name, I couldn't get Ms. Allen on the phone. Someone said they would relay the message. I informed them not to call and that my number was unlisted and unpublished.

Very fishy "Phishy" I think it's a scam as well.

I got a call too. She says her name is miss December. She's calling from Richard Shum's office about pending litigation.... Does anyone have an idea who this is or how they're getting the info?

My mom just received a voicemail from this number stating they have a claim attached to my name and social security. They're stating that it could be a matter for my county court. I think the lady said her name was Ms. Ellen and she was calling from the law offices of Richard Schoon*. Not sure what to do.

I've been getting the same call with messages about it on my answering machine... regarding a legal matter with a Ken Murphy and I must call back. I've never heard of that person.

Same ppl called me again and again it is a scam  use a name that is unheard of  these ppl do not scare me but, if they can scare you into giving them money then the will do not pay them nothing they are scammers

I received a call from 212-201-0722 (Improcom Inc -- showed up on my caller ID) several times. The last one was from a woman who called herself "Meghan" and she asked me to call 212-201-0722 (ext 744). They had my first and last name as well as my last four digits of SSN. They had attempted to contact relatives (to get personal information about me...) DEFINITELY a SCAM. Do not give them any information... Do not call them back... Report them to your local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities.

got a call from them stating the same thing, they had all my information and bank acct information. i got this same thing in 2009 and was dumb enough to pay it and now they say it was not paid in full.  i dont know if they are for real or not.

They are trying to collect for an old advance america debt.

SAME, CALLED SAYING FROM A LAW OFFICE PERTAINING TO A NAME I HAD NEVER HEARD OF.. APPARANTLY PERSON IS IN TROUBLE FOR SOCIAL SECURITY MISUSE AND LISTED US AS A RELATIVE TO CONTACT FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.  TOLD HER I HAD NEVER HEARD OF THAT NAME SORRY AND HUNG UP.

Caller said he is from a law office (I did not catch the name). Was asking for y personal info including my SSN. I did say my name but then hung up.
