Rapes don't last 30 seconds the pain and nightmares (for some even unwanted pregnancies) having spouses or loved ones "dump" you because they view your rape you were with another person. The being blamed it was your fault it happened. You must have done something to warrant it. So a woman or child at home doing nothing but sleeping what did they do? A woman or child walking home from work or school? No women even men and especially children are never at fault. I wish years ago the day I came down off the fuel truck I had a weapon and would have been allowed to use it. The military didn't protect me. They got away with what they did. How many other women did they assault before and AFTER.  Had I had the ability to blow them away. I might have saved someone else living the hell I have.

I am a NRA Certified Instructor and have been for the past 21 yrs. The National Rifle Association dose not call people and hang up on them, their land line is mostly for inbound calls from Members and Instructors. I have only received about five calls in the past 21 years from them and that is when a person in my area calls them to find an instructor that meets their needs. I also use to be an Auto Repossession Agent and I can tell you that the 888-484-7594 number is most something like what we called a (Trap Line) when a number calls you and you call it back it sends the company all kinds of info about the caller and the info helps them to track your location, they have several different Agents that created their own fake business.  In the Repo buz the norm is that  they call you and leave a message if your not home, or leave a buz card at your door with a fake name, a number and ext. for you to call or if your not home or willing to answer the door. If anyone calls to see what the number is and hangs up quickly... it's too late, they got you. If this collection Agency has the same system that we had? They can make their number to show up on your Caller I.D. as the local Police.

I will say that there are many people that never plan to pay a cent for a vehicle and that all of their info is B.S. so Repo Agents have to cross the line to catch the crooks... the same in Bail Bonds... yes I was certified in that too many years ago. Honest people can not catch crooks being honest! I hated that kind of work and am glade to be out of both of them!!

The best thing I have found was to add their number with the title DO NOT ANSWER. I have several numbers under that title so I do not answer it thinking it is one of my out of state companies that I work for calling me to fly out to a job.

This is a professional fund raising organization operating to bring donations into the NRA. My advice is to block their number and send your donations directly to the NRA. That will eliinate this donations collections business from profitting from the NRA and your entire donation goes to defend your Constitutional rights.

Are you the same person who is *constantly* spamming 800notes for Digitone?

To everyone else: There's no need to spend $100 on a device to block calls as there are many less expensive options. Even some free ones.

If you are interested in replacing/upgrading your phone many are now available with blocking features and the ability to block a lot of numbers.

The T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers.

You can set up a Google phone account for free (with easily configurable call blocking) and get your home calls forwarded there.

If you have a home office or just have a home computer on most of the time Phone Tray Free software  may work for you. As the name implies, it's free. They no longer have the free version on the company web site but it's widely available via torrent.

No need to send this spammer any of your hard earned money.

I also got the call, but I didn't mind the call, Why, because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker.  www.digitone.com The first time they call, it rings my phone and the call comes through. I then block the number and the next time they call, my phone doesn't even ring and the blocker hangs up on them. You can even block entire area codes. I have it setup to block any incoming calls with the 855 area code. The blocker keeps track of all calls, good and bad ones. Then I like to check to see who got hung up on just for fun like I am now.

You need to buy one of these, you?ll like it. No monthly fees either

Interesting. When you call the number back a VRS (Voice Response System) does answer and say they're the National Rifle Association. And it is true that the recording can say anything the person who recorded it wants it to. So, is it really the National Rifle Association? Who knows unless you answer and talk with them.

So far this week I've received about 4 calls from them, from different numbers. Never have they left a message. There is no name on the caller ID but only a number.

I am also a member of the (true) NRA and get an unbelievable amount of junk mail asking for more money. They always want money. They are by far the worst for endlessly requesting donations of anyone I've given money to, such as DAV, PVA, St. Judes, etc.

Be sure to file an FCC complaint regarding them if you  do NOT want to receive calls and they do not stop calling after you request to be removed from their call list. If they get rude or vulgar you may also file a complaint with your states' A. G. office. However, in Texas (at least) they'll want a recording of the conversation (in Texas you can legally record any conversation as long as ONE party has knowledge of that recording. And that would be you in this case).

This number belongs to the National Recovery Associates!!!! They pretend to be the National Rifle Association!!!! When you give them your credit card number they deduct what they feel you owe them for medical expenses and not the donation amount agreed upon!!! THIS IS A SCAM!!!! I have filed a report with the state attorney general!! I have been a life member of the NRA for over 30 years and have never been solicited by phone, but I fell for this one!!! I got tired of the daily calls for almost 2 months every time a different number, so I answered, BIG MISTAKE!!!

Just because they answer as National rifle association doesn't mean the are. It could be an imposter claiming to be them just to scam you out of money. Call NRA and ask if they use the 888 number.

Yup. Checked several investigative sites. It is NOT the National Rifle Association. We have nothing that could possibly go to collections, so they must either have bogus info, or a contrived scam to encourage people to send them money . . . OR ELSE. Pretty dispicable.

It's not the National Rifle Association.  It's the Brady Campaign calling.  They're telling everyone about their new slogan: "A rape can last 30 seconds, but a murder lasts forever. Guns are not the answer."  I think it's an important message.  Everybody should hear it!

IF you are a member of the NRA..... you need to call 1-800-672-3888 and remove your name from their call list!  "DO NOT SELL, MARKET, or SHARE MY INFO and / or PHONE NUMBER!  AND DO NOT THINK THAT I AM INTERESTED IN ANY OFFERS."

The guy could not verify that ALL of these calls are from them...... but they have a 'rule': Do not call more than once every 25 hours!  WTHeck?  That is ever so annoying!!!

Your phone number will be removed....
And remove your address from mailings!!!!

Spouse and I both belong to the NRA; calls are for membership renewal; when we're ready to renew, we'll do it on our own; just got a renewal! Guess I'll have to contact their hq with my concerns; they call everyday.

This is NOT the National Rifleman's Association!!!

This is a collection agency known as NATIONAL RECOVERY ASSOCIATES exploiting the NRA monogram.

They have been calling me like clockwork on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays for over two-months. Although, I have made them aware that I am NOT the person they are looking for (and have been reassured that this would be corrected) they still continue to call regardless even on Sundays (which is against the law and should demonstrate how unrelenting these people are).

Note: One of their representatives has specifically informed that their offices seeks out and post on websites such as these to fool the "hard to get dead beats"

I have received two calls from this number is the past week.  I have never picked up the phone.  It could not be a collection call because I just retired from banking after over 50 years.  I have NEVER had a past due payment of any kind in my life.  If this has anything to do with The National Rifle Association, I will cancel my membership immediately, or just let it ride.  My membership is good thru 3-14-2014.  I have received a couple of letters from the NRA lately asking me to renew my membership NOW.  Give me a break.  I live on Social Security.  Also, I may be dead by 3-31-14.
