Got a call on my personal cell phone saying that I was listed as a secondary contact number for a package that was being delivered to my apartment for some dude I have never heard of in my life and they wondered if I'd be home to accept it. They said it was a check for $198.00. So weird. They knew my address and my name and obviously my phone number. I said I had no idea who that person was. But now they have confirmation that all of that is true about me...which I'm really mad about. He said he'd try the primary number again and hung up. Should I be as worried as I am?

Yea I got a call from these people claiming to have a check to be delivered to me wanting my address. They screwed up and said it was from my place of employment. I knew it was a scam. I googled the number and found your post with their other number on it, and I called and left them a message saying I needed their address to deliver a package.  They called me back on the 888 number and were saying they were the job service. We argued and I hung up. They called again, I answered but didn't say anything and I heard the original guy who called coaching the second to ask me where I got the number. They called again and I told him I heard them talking and I hung up. They didn't call back again.

Called my phone stating they had a delivery for my ex-husband.  They claimed that they had a box from Lowrence electronic corp at PO Box 2788 in Manhattan with a tracking number of 458909.  it is all a scam

Called my personal cellphone number saying that it was call back number because my uncle didnt respond to the note they had left when they tried to deliver a package to him.
First of all I haven't sent my uncle a package in a very long time, nor did he receive a note about a package.
Sounds like a scam me. I don't know how the got his address, or how they got my number. Plus why not leave a legit business call back number instead of using a toll free number. Yup scam scam scam.

Collection agency in brighton colorado. Calls pretending to be from prime employment. Calls all numbers on file and asks for location and reference information. Callback number is 3035581271

us express shipping company?? someone called asking for a carlton smith (?) delivering a package from Kentucky that weighs 37.8lbs.
sounds like a pretxt of some kind to me.  shady.

The lady said she was calling to confirm a package that is going to be sent to my house and wanted to know if anyone would be home to accept. But "didnt know what it was?" and she called my work and not my personal number.
