Called 3x this day already - started calling me very early in the a.m.

I just have to change the classicification of call from debt collection to prank call. Due to the fact that my payment has been sitting in the bank since May 30. I call them up to tell them to take my money it's there in the bank and they tell me that they won't take the money until June 30 and will continue to call several times a day until June 30. So is this being done so that they can charge an extra $25? If so then I probably can sue and get the laptop for free. So at this point I will just wait and see until July 1 and then I will check if they have charged the $25.

Money is sitting in account, called Dell financial up to tell then to take money. They tell me they won't take money until June 30 and they are going to call me several times a day until then?!

Called Dell on due date to let them know I couldn't afford to make this payment yet. Didn't believe it was Dell Financial because they asked for date of birth when they called five days later. I want to pay but have no money because of shortage of work. I already lost my place and am living in a shelter for free and work is just starting to pick up a little so it looks like I will make my payment in a couple of weeks for the kick a** laptop. Still not absolutely sure that 1-888-491-5585 is Dell Financial and not some scammer in some other country impersonating a financial institution, after all anyone can post here. So I will call the number posted on their website.

This phone number comes up 5-20 times a day...no ref. no. or name. I know I have nothing to do with Dell. How do I make it stop ?

Still calling, counting 10+ since report yesterday.  Still no answer.  If this is Dell, then their CSRs are not representing the company well.  Shall report to Dell and include a digital log of the times they called, if in fact this is a legitimate Dell number.

They called me 3 times this morning....no company ID other than tel #.  They won't say hello when you do answer which is is the normal way to start a conversation in North America.  If, this is, in fact a reputable company, it is sad that they outsource their CSRs to a third world country when there are so many unemployed right here.  SHAME!

Useless jerks. I work nights and the I lady  rent my room from works days.... they call an average of 30 times a day. HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO SLEEP WHEN THEY WONT STOP CALLING..... i mean seriously people how hard is it to understand she will be home after 5:00pm. This crap had better stop because my uncle is a lawyer and he will sue the crap out of them/

dell financial calls every 10 minutes, even on Sunday and my payment is NOT late.....BEWARE of DELL!!!!

Our office Keeps getting these calls about 25 times a day with no one speaking at their end. How can I make this stop?

Don't have a clue who keeps calling me from this number, but it is constant.  It has become my alarm clock because they call promptly @ 8:05 in the morning, and then about every hour after that throughout the day!

I've tried calling them back, but the recording comes on saying that it's a local phone number and it won't go through if I don't use the correct 10 digit number.

I have been getting these phone calls for weeks now. They never leave a message so I never knew who it was. They call at least 8 times a day. Today they finally left a message and it WASN'T from DELL. The guy, who couldn't even speak english was talking about fighting in a war and people had to die and I should be loyal to the war  and if I was then maybe someone won't die but then someone always has to die. WTF is that all about......

Dell has called so often that I just let the phone ring...Dell does not leave a voice message.

I got a call from this number and asked for my social insurance number, birth of date, etc...I did not owe any money to them. They kept on calling me!

it is a saturday. ive called by 9 times. its an auto dialer on saturdays with no 1 there to answer. pretty pathetic. ive had enough 37 calls since 8 am its now 9:43am now that for sure is harassment. im not even an owner of a dell product. bought my computer at best buy canada...

I've been looking into this number because I have a Dell acct but they have no reason to call me... The called 9 times by lunch one day. When I answered the next call, the woman started asking all kinds of questions "for acct verification". I gave her my address and my phone number. Then I thought "why would she ask for my phone number? She called me!". So I told her I would need to know what she was calling about before I could give her any more info. She refused & told me I needed to validate my acct info. I told her YOU called ME. Why can't you verify who YOU are? I asked her the date of my last purchase. She wouldn't answer me. Anyway, I hung up on her & called Dell the next business day. I was transferred to 3 departments who could see no reason for them to be calling me. The last person I spoke to was the person who handled my purchase. He told me it wasn't Dell who called me. So after the 3rd call from the mystery scammer, the same day I had called the real Dell, I answered & she asked me questions I refused to answer andf I told her I had spoken to Dell & they told me she had no reason to call me. She told me there was a problem with my acct & that I had called "the wrong Dell". I looked up every number I could find for Dell Canada or Dell Financial Services. This one is not one of the number I can find liked to Dell in any other way but forums of people complaining of the same things as me. THIS IS NOT DELL!! DON'T GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFO TO THEM!!! I don't know how they got my number, but I'm glad I caught on to them before it was too late and I gave them my banking info or something!!

Dell calls and harrasses people on a daily basis. Even if you do ANSWER YOUR DAMN phone they still call..... I got 7 different people in one day calling I don't even own one of those pieces of crap...so explain that...

Very annoying.  They start calling at 8am and continue throughout the day until 11pm.  They never leave a message.  I am starting to really hate Dell.

Called at 8am and woke me up.  I work late hours so waking up at 8am isn't a god thing.  They left no message.  Took me about an hour to get back to sleep.

Someone stated that the number is for Dell Computer, but I never owned a Dell or have had any dealings with Dell in my life.

When they call make sure you get the persons name that called -

Ask them if they work for Dell directly or if they are calling "on behalf of" - if they state they are calling on behalf of a company they are a third party out source telemarketing company -

Also ask the agent what their Agent ID is and once you have as much of this info as possabile inform the agent that you have every intention of contacting your lawyer and sue the company if the calls do not cease immediately -  Once you threaten l;egal action they have 24 hours to remove your contact info - if you recieve even 1 more call after that yopu have grounds to sue -

Now if you actually had an unpaid bill and Dell was following up concerning payments and they are calling excessivly as illustrated in some of these comments then you do have grounds for a harrasment law suit - but living in Canda it is almost impossabile to get a lawyer to pursue a harrasment law suit - CRTC might be a better option for reporting harrsing collection calls -

Its Dell Financal looking for payments. I keep getting calls and I owe them nothing. They refuse to put me throught to a manager and threaten me with legal action. Its a scam major scam for that matter.

They caled my cell 68 times in 4 days

This stupid number: 888-491-5685 keeps calling over and over and over... I was putting my son to bed, he is only 8 months old.. And they kept calling and keeps waking up my son!!! When I say HELLO the call only last for 3 sec and they hang up!! They won't leave me alone!! I never heard of a voice or anything but its getting on my last nerves!!! Sorry I had to vent!! DELL better stop doing this sh*t!!

I got called twice today from this number.

The first time the lady started the call by asking me for security information... to which I replied YOU called ME. I have no idea who you are. I'm not giving out info to someone I don't know. "but this is our policy" she says. "I don't care. Do you not see how stupid that is?"

Then they called back later, I pick up the phone and get "Please hold, all of our representatives are busy". WTF?

received a call from this number @ 9:11am Sept 10, 2010 answered phone and person did not speak I said hello three or four times then about 30 secounds they hung up, checked my call display and seen they have called yesterday also @ 6:22 pm.
