Don't pay them anything until you get it in righting then check the company name on the BBB they have an F rating.  Diversified Processing Solutions is a scam.   Be careful there are a lot of scam artist posing as collection agencies.  Always check them out first before you pay anything.  They tried to do that to me as well.

Ok so I took out a payday lone online  and I payed it all off the all of sudden I start getting withdraws from my checking account from JHS Marketing whom I have never herd from now I ow US bank over $1000 for this supposed lone that never really  put money in to my account. Then 6 months latter I get thertening phone calls from Diversifred Prepossessing Solutions that they are going to server me with a loss suit. So I called them back and I payed in full of what they wanted that was 05/2010 now it is 06/28/2011 and I got a messages from a Richard James saying that I am going to be charged with fraud. So I called the 1-800 number and I asked for this Richard James and the person how answered the phone said that he is an legal assistant and that they are turning me in for fraud for not paying JHS marketing back. I told him that I did pay it through a collection agency . the told me that I have not and if I don't with in 24 hr they are turning me in for fraud. but I have not received any paper work threw them at all.

The best way to deal with these types of people is send them a debt collector validation letter, if you google it you can find examples to cut & paste. I received a call from this company today, & since it was rather an intimidating message they left, I am sending this letter. This company sounds like one you do not want to have undocumented phone conversations with. In the letter I found it requests all correspondence to be done in writing. This is also the best protection for you because if they do not comply with the requirements of the letter but do anything against your credit, you can sue them, even if the money is owed. If you do not have their address it is Advanced Credit Recover 6000 N. Bailey Ave Suite 1E Amherst, NY 14226, the letter needs to be sent by registered mail. Hope this helps, & wish me luck that these yahoos will go away.

I see everyone here has a bad taste in their mouths from dealing with these folks. Not saying I'm a fan of them but what I'm seeing is a lot of people who like me took out a payday loan (a mistake I'll admit) but none who talk about their proactive steps to solving their problem. Instead it's trying to prove that a company (of sorts) , who is contacting us about a debt which you all seem to admit you've made, is a fraud. Pay the thing off, they'll bite on you paying your original balance (been down that road). If you're drowning in a sea of debt from a bunch of payday loans and you're trying to snake out of it, you've got bigger issues to overcome than someone calling you and being "pricky". You call them "grimy" but you make no focus on paying for a loan you applied for and got. Perhaps you should work there.

I've been getting the same people also.  1st it was Nash, then, O'neal, and finally Singleton, They all want me to pay the same debt to the same company.  I paid that off two years ago.  The Federal Trade Commission says that they have to be from the state you live in, And they have to mail you a letter in order to collect the debt owed.  So If they are calling you out of the blue.  Call BBB and the FTC and see if they are Legit.

I received payday loans over the internet recently and was paying them on time as I agreed to in the contract. I got in yet another financial rut by dealing with them over the past couple of months and so when I would pay them it caused me to fall behind with my other bills. Meanwhile, another company stole my account information and charged my account for some random package of some kind they claimed I agreed to during my application process when I applied for a payday loan. They called me and harassed me everyday for a couple weeks or so, finally I stopped answering the phone when I saw there number on my caller id. Mine you, I explained to them each time, I did not sign up for a package of any kind and that I have reported them to my bank for fruad. I did get the my money back as my bank reimbursed me and a claim was filed against them. The bank suggested they close that account and I open a new one and so I did. Later I did contact one of the payday loan companies explaining my situation and regrets for not being able to pay the loan off as agreed and that I have intentions of doing so, the rep advised me to wait to hear from a collections agency to pay the loan off. I'm assuming all three payday loan compannies were affiliated because when I received an email that I was approved, I got an email from a "Matt" congratulating me and they all responded at once with the same approval amount, interest, and the lay out was practically the same. So I waited and it wasn't long before I got the same phone call from a "Michelle", she was pretty blunt and stern at first stating something a long of taking me to court if I don't pay up. I was caught off guard, know I had outstanding and agreed to a payment plan, of course not giving her my account information but suggesting making payments and doing western union payments or sending money orders. She wouldn't accept that, but offered to take payments with a visa prepaid or reloadable card. I agreed, to keep it from going any further with all intentions with actually paying it all back. Of course its double what I actually borrowed and that doesn't fly with me at all. She sent me an email with the agreement of installment payments I agreed to providing they're so-called address, which read 3380 Seridan Dr # 131 Amherst, NY 14226 (888) 491-5985 Fax 716-831-3610. Later, it's reccommended to me I do some research to see if this company is legit or not (I know after the fact). I google this 800 number and learn they may not be. I try and contact her to get actual written documents mailed to me and now I can't reach her and she assured she'd call me the next day and I haven't heard from her. I did leave a message with my name and number for her to return my call asap and still have not herad anything. I have all intentions of paying what I owe, but don't feel comfortable after hearing and reading all these about this particular company who calls themselves ACR one day and Diversified Processing Soulutions the next. And who is "Sabrina"? That name was in the subject column of the email. My question is, what should I do now? I don't want to give my hard-earned money to an illegimate company. What do you suggest? Do you think the actual companies would be willing to take my payments? Help! Thank you!

OK EVERYONE READ:  So this is what happens, you take out a payday loan with a sleazy company (not all are sleazy)  PaYDay1 is really a good company, if you default they work with you.  Others will sell the payday loan to sleaze bags for pennies on the dollar.  JHS is one of them.  YES JHS, if you are with them beware of their sleazy ways.  Now ACR buys the loan, then pretends to be Lock & Butler, Inc or National Credit Adjusters or Diversified Processing Solutions for payments.  You speak with a Michelle, Brandon, Maria the manager (very unprofessional).  Then there is a Sabrina Keith Difrancisco who will collect your money from DPS (Diversified Processing Solutions in Amherst, NY or Buffalo, NY) You ask to send something ( she finally e-mails you a very basic letter that anyone can type up.)  I looked her up and she has facebook site.  She sure doesn't look professional to me.  They try to charge you way more then your loan amount and I mean WAY MORE Double.  And you know the payday loan company did not get that much.  They have 2 addresses.  3380 Sheridan Drive # 131, Amherst, NY 14226 and 6000 Bailey Drive, Amherst, NY 144226.  Google it an dyou will not fine the company that looks legit.  Now the best part of this...acrnf.com is even a bigger BS.  Try to call the number on that site: 1-800-226-7413 (You get a busy signal) It is not a working number.  Then you call 888-491-5986 or 85 and they tell you they do not work for Them, they are not a collection agency, lies after lies come out of their mouths, and when you try to tell them legal terms they get loud and rude.  I can not pay them in full so they want to set up a payment plan, but then they give you a deadline and if you pay by then you pay your original loan, if you don't - you pay double.  Then I looked them up in my state they are not liecenced to collect any money from me unless they are licenced in the state. I must say I have really investigated them and found they are really sleazy.  I am still investigating and did many complaints about them.  Must file more, so I will keep you posted on all my findings..Stay TUNED!!!!

It is against the Fair Debt Collection Practices for a debt collector to threaten suit against you, especially if they have not validated the debt to you. See my other posting on what to do, that way, if a suit is filed against you & you have proof of this letter, you can counter sue & win.

I started receiving phone calls from this phone number on 08/13/10; I get at least one a day sometimes more both on my cell # and work phone #.  They say that they are from the ACR Inc. and are calling about a possbile pending legal civil matter with the state of NY.  When I try to call the phone number back sometimes no one answers the phone, or the message says that they I have reached the law firm of Lock and Butler and to leave a message.  I of course hang up and do not leave a message.  I have tried calling from a phone other than my desk or cell phone number and get no response when calling this phone #.  When I research this company online; which ACR stands for Advanced Credit Recovery I see that they have a lot of complaints and an F rating from the Better Business Bureau.  The notes online indicate to beware of them.  I did talk to a Ms. Foster back on 08/13/10, and she would not give me any information or further details on why they were calling other than on something that I have owing with someone else was turned over to their office supposedly on 08/12.  When I asked her to e-mail or mail me the information, she acted surprised and did not appear to want to give out that information.  She wanted me to set up payment arrangements with their office using only my personal checking or savings account information; nothing else.  When I asked her for the website address or where they were located, she said Amherst NY and had to put me on hold to provide me with the website address.  I have continued to receive phone calls from their company daily but no e-mails or letters confirming the debt that I supposedly owe them.  I contacted the company that I am working with paying down the debt that ACR supposedly said was sold to them, and they said that they would never transfer my debt, and if they did they would notify me in writing. They said that I should try to verify what information they have on me the next time that they call back or try to contact me to see if it any of it is legimate.  I may ask them to assist me in getting to the bottom of this as I am not going to pay two different companies for the same debt; especially one that just calls me out of the blue.

Okay, Yes we all get caught off guard from these crooks and they know it.  So I have researched even more, if they are not licenced in your state they are not allowed to collect money from you.  When I spoke with a Maria (manager?) she wasn't very professonial.  I did make a small payment and they e-mailed me and mailed the same document that showed I paid a payment.  I want t o pay as well and let them know that I will not pay over what I borrowed.  They said if I pay by a certain time then I will only pay that much.  Okay now yea, so that is a threat, I reported that to the FTC and I am filing a report with the city of NYC.  I am sending them all the documents they have send me.  I called the building that they are housed in and no one knows who they are, there is even a lawyer's office in the same building and I called them as well.  It is like a minnie mall area close to Buffalo NY.  If I lived in NYC I would go visit them.  So I googled The girl who took my payment.  VERY INTERESTING.  I am just shocked how they get so many complaints and they are still working it and scaring people.  I defaulted another loan and the company had a bill collector call me and they were out of Miami and really nice, they did everything the right way.  No hassles and they are getting money from me.  Now when they try and take more then you owe there is a problem, the funny thing is they settled for the correct amount.  That is funny, oh yea but if I don't pay by a certain time then the deal is off. Well maybe I should wait till I mail my complaint to the City of NYC.  I spoke with FTC here in my state and they said they have to be licenced to collect money in the state they collect from. I looked them up and they are not.  And if they were legit then why do they not work with you or give you information. Why do they have a F with  the Better BB?  Why are they all over the interent about how they are threating and taking more then they should.  The orginal company sold the loan to National Credit Adjustors (joke) and then Advance Credit Recovery http://www.creditreportproblems.com/Advanced_Credit_Recovery_Inc. Now it is Locke & Bulter Associates.  It is amazing what I read about this company how they have lawyers who help them and get a part of it. Some have walked away because they can lose their licenced if they are doing anything illegal.  So it comes doen to one thing, I will pay my loan back because it is the right thing to do, but i will not get scared to paying more and i will not be threated or not let my kids eat becuase they want the money before a certain time.  They don't want to work with you then why even pay them.  They can not sue you if they are not doing things the legal way.  I am done now I am in control and if they want $$$ then they will get it on my terms.  Go ahead and take me to court, with all the paperwork I have on them it will be interesting how far they get.

Can a company call & ask for you or your attorney, stating they need a call from either immediatly, or is that against the law? Does anyone know who these people are, I received a call 6 months ago from a guy with a really heavy accent that turned out to be a scam, this person that called today was not a scam but half recording & half live person (I think) does any one know if this is also a scam?
