Got a call from this number the other day, doesn't say who they're calling for or why just to call this number to resolve some issue and doesn't even mention a reference number until a computer voice chimes in and just says a number.

Received call from the 888-491-5986 need to call or have my attorney call? What is this mess? Any ideas?

I keep receiving calls from this # about twice a week. The automated message said "I have important information for you regarding a matter in your state.  It says to reference a file #.  I called back and said if you received a summons from this office press 1, if not stay on the line. I stayed on the line and said you are being forward to an automated voice mail.  If we are in trouble or being sued and need an attorney, by law they have to notify us by mail.  This is a scam and I will not call them back again.  Hopefully they can go away!

I keep getting calls from this number at work, but never have talked to anyone its always a recording tell me to call regarding a pending lawsuit & reference my case number.  When I called back I was asked to leave a message and contact number.  What is going on?  My bosses are NOT happy at all!!!

Got a hangup call from this number at 9:32 am on Aug 4th...anyone got a lead yet on what company (legit or fraudulent) this is?

So it is a cell, I read that these scammers are purchasing the cell phones the ones like Go phones where you do not need an account and scamming people, they are starting to really get nasty, Now this number 888-491-5986 is calling and does not even have a live perspn on it, just a recording like call Roc and Butler offices (something like that)please wait on the line and no one comes on and then they want you to leave a message, ok why would I leave a message, so they can get my attention, after you call them back on your number 2 times it will not go through the third time. Very Weird, but they are trying whatever they could to get your money.  The last time they called they did all the illegal stuff so i knew they were scammers.  I let them know I was reporting them to the FDCPA and then the bad words came out and threats, noe I am getting this,,  COME ON SCAMMERS, your getting stopped and you probably have millions and living like kings in NYC or another country.  You make me laugh, because I just don't know why you try with me. you don't bother me when you call because i know all the laws and your breaking them, your just think your smart because you run when the feds get close.  Then you know if your in a different country you can get a way with it.  Well Scammers the only way your going to get my money is WAIT ----NOTTTTTTTTT
