CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND A GUY ANSWERED "RESERVATIONS?" AND I SAID HI I GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AND WAS JUST CALLING BACK. HE SAID WELL THIS IS A TRAVEL AGENCY, ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A TRIP? I SAID NO AND WAS JUST CHECKING THE REASON FOR THE CALL. HE SAID PERHAPS A TYPO OR MISTAKE. WILL REPORT BACK IF I GET MORE CALLS.

Is there any lawyer out there who can start a class action lawsuit on these people. I got Channel 9 News involved but it's not much they can do because I am in Virginia and they are in Georgia....or maybe they are not. WHO KNOWS. Someone has to know a lawyer that would be willing to take on these thieves. I HATE THEM!! I am a teacher and they stole $450.00 from me. I was planning to send my son and my nephew to Las Vegas for his 21st Birthday! UGH

The reason he can't...because I couldn't... stop the money from coming out of my account was because they ask for your account number so the money can be taken out like a check...other wise you could stop the account as fraud. These thieves know this that is why they do not ask for your credit card or bank card number... THIEVES!!!!

I agree... The reason you can't research them first is because it comes through the fax machine as Centennial Travel. They are not members of the BBB so they can't help either. Maybe there is a way I could get the Atlanta News involved because I live in VA.

I tried to file a complaint with the attorney general of GA and they sent me to the Dept of consumer affairs of GA and they aren't able to do anything since the address they provide isn't their real address...and they can't locate the company.
Is this where they operate out of? I'd really appreciate any info that you have.

You're full of it....my friends and I are going thru the same problem currently....we paid for a trip to Miami, your paperwork states Miami...we called the booking company that YOUR company sent us to and they DO NOT book trips to Miami...now we're in the process of getting our money refunded but of course we are having a hard time....

I HAVE RECENTLY DEALT WITH ROMEX AND WAS NOT GIVEN ALL THE DETAILS I NEEDED TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION AT THE TIME. I ASKED SPECIFIC QUESTIONS AND GIVEN VAGUE ANSWERS AND IN SOME CASES, THE WRONG ONES. THEY SAY THERE WILL BE OTHER FEES, BUT DON'T TELL YOU HOW MANY OR HOW MUCH. THEY KNOW EVERYTHING, BUT OMIT THE INFORMATION BECAUSE NOBODY WOULD GO FOR IT KNOWING ALL THE FEES, AND TAXES AND SURCHARGES. I THINK THAT'S SOME KIND OF NON-DISCLOSURE ISN'T IT? THEY GET AWAY WITH IT ON A TECHNICALITY BECAUSE THEY TOLD YOU THERE WOULD BE FEES, BUT ITS DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICE BECAUSE THEY DON'T TELL YOU THE AMOUNT.
WHY DON'T YOU OFFER UP YOUR PHONE NUMBER, SO EVERYONE HERE CAN CALL AND TALK TO YOU OR YOUR LEGAL DEPARTMENT?? NOBODY WOULD PUT THEIR NUMBER ON A PUBLIC SITE, WHICH IS WHY YOU FEEL FREE TO RUN YOUR MOUTH ..........SHILL!

I called my bank BofA to try and dispute the charges because they were dishonest and they don't give a hoot. If I approved it, and I did, there's nothing they can do. Disputes are for transactions made by someone other than you fraudulently. It is true that you only have 60 days to dispute something though.

Feb I got the fax. Bought TWO trips. Asked all the right questions and they flat out lied or omitted information. Same as everyone else, I called and for two hours between Romex and The Travel Center, got the runaround.
When I purchased, I asked specifically, what days CAN'T I travel -was told that the only days excluded are a week before and a week after a holiday, that's fine. Now I find out that I can only depart on a Mon or Tue. If there are any days we can't go, it's one of those. My friend is in payroll, not gonna work.
They did not tell me that I would have to pay another $138.00 each pkg to the travel center when I activated the vouchers Romex sent, then when i got the certificates, the last step, I have to pay another $99.00 per person to register the certificates - that's another $400.00. I called the third company, the agency that sells the trips to Romex, and also the company that sent me the certificates, very nice and told me that Romex has copies and is aware of all the terms and conditions. They outright lied to me. I emailed them and told them I want an answer in a timely manner about my refund or I will be one of dozens (i just found out) reporting them to the BBB and sue them under the fair business practice law. Now that said, I can still take the vacation but it will cost me more than what I thought and I will have to get someone else to go with me, or sell the tickets. I am so disappointed in myself.

We too have been SCAMMED and I'm sure if you have a way to go after them you would have a gang of people to back you up. Please let me know if you pursued this....

This is a complete scam...there were 12 of us that thought we had purchased a flight and an overnight stay in Miami..there is soo much to the issue they lied about everything..I've contacted an attorney who's sent letters and email still no luck but we refuse to give up they got us for over 2k!

Folks, you need to understand that you have a finite window of time to have your bank claw back the money that's been taken from your checking account. After a certain period of time (I think it's either 30 or 60 days, you may want to ask your bank), the transaction is considered a done deal by law and your bank will have no obligation to even investigate the transaction, much less claw money back. Scammers know this and invented this multi-step activation process for this scam, including posting I-am-waiting-for-activation-let-me-know-how-yours-is-going posts on 800notes, to encourage you to run your 30- or 60-day clock out so the stolen money can NEVER be clawed back. My advice is don't wait, contact your bank NOW.

I've paid. Received my email, called bank today it came thru under ABC 123. Now I'm concerned. I did not receive a call it was a fax at work. I work for the state. They need to hope they are legitimate. I work for the Dept to go after them if the aren't. Suppose to be Romax Travel.
