Federated Payments WILL NOT stop calling. I made the mistake by listening to the girl on the other end one time. she told me my credit card machine was not in compliance and that i was being over charged by hundreds. She was so pushy and she didnt like my answers and before i knew it her "manager" was on the line asking to speak to my owner i explained that would not happen since im paid to be the office manager they would deal with me. After the first call i did call my current credit card transaction company and believe them. When they called again  I told them that I called the credit card company we have been with and they have ensured me that everything was ok. They argued with me and said since I cant make the decision to save money to put the owner on. I once again she doesnt take these ridiculous calls. told them that we are not a store, i dont swipe cards, we are a business and if i have a credit card I key them. they didnt like that either. So two days later the same phone call. Same conversation. Two days later the same call the same things said, the same annoyance that i wouldnt listen to them since i kept saying we are happy with who we are with. I googled Federated Payments and every single comment on them is negative and it seems i am not alone. FEDERATED PAYMENTS GO AWAY! STOP CALLING! how do we make them stop???

Call The 1-877-922-5533 number if you want to have fun, i keep calling them asking for the owner. I told the guy i would keep doing this like his telemarketers, after about 4 calls the guy asked for my number and said he would take it off the list. Havent had any calls since.

No message they are very persistant and wont take no for an answer.
Even when i told the guy to f off, he still continued until i hung up on him.

they're from America so just make all the American jokes you can. Or just make fun of the accent. Or, better yet, just ask them why they were not smart or rich enought to get into college down there. HA! These guys are too much fun because they will actually take offence.

As Pix said "Call this # Phone: 800.217.8711" and slect option 8. But if you do not slect this option, they will not forward your call to an operator. You can keep them on line forever costing them money.

There have been many calls from this number over the past weeks. They call every two hours or so. Now they use a 'restricted' number. Lately, there has been no answer when I pick up. I have been on the Canadian (CRTC) Do Not Call List since 2008.

Would contact through these telephone numbers or emails do any good?  It would might lead to more annoying solicitations. On the other hand, a flood of compaints to their business numbers and addresses that eat up the servers and telephones might get some attention.

They keep calling and asking for the previous shop tenant. Nothing you tell them will make them stop. We get at least 4 calls per week.

AVOID THIS COMPANY.  They call me all hours of the day.

they just called me again (they called back in Feb) I asked for street address and she was all flustered.

I said "by law in Canada, legitimate telemarketers have to provide a street address" (i'm paraphrasing)

I hung up, they have called back three times in the last 3 minutes, I keep transferring them to the fax line.

I don't answer unknown numbers. They did not leave a voice mail. People who have something of value to talk to me about will leave a message. And they know I will call them back.

They just called here... asked to speak to "Linda" - my mother who passed away 9 years ago.  I urged them to take her name off their calling list.  Girl on the other end felt pretty bad, she even said "I hope I didn't hurt your felings".
I agree with previous comments to not answer 888 numbers - "no good has ever come from an 888 call"!

Best thing to do with these people. When they ask for the owner or sometimes they have our name...we say oh yes just one moment I'll get them to the phone.  Then we just leave the phone on the counter and wait for them to hang up.  We have such a good laugh everytime...now I'm hoping for them to call more often so that we can do this to them and eventually they'll give up!!  Pay back!

I receive call and fax every week days from this number.

Just ask where they are calling from. Then ask for the mailing address. They hang right up.

Rude caller, asked for the owner, I said the owner was busy but could I help them, they said they'll call back and hung up.

As another posted suggested, I called 800.217.8711, selected option 8, and asked the agent to remove my name from the call list.

Great solution assuming all business phones have call display.

I received a call from that number this morning.  There was an actual person on the other end, she asked to speak to my boss (she knew his first name).  I told her he wasn't available and that I could help her.  She wanted to discuss the processing services for credit card transactions.  I told her we aren't with Federated Payment Merchant Services and I wasn't about to discuss the details of our current provider or statements with her.  She said fine, I'll just call and speak to (bosses name) later.  As I was in the process of telling her he wouldn't take this type of call and that she'd have to deal with me, I realized she had already hung up.  I called Federated Payments at 1-800-217-8711, by passed the available options and hit zero.  A woman named Debbie answered the phone, I told her we had received several, harassing calls from 1-888-492-2054 and that I wanted our business number removed permanently from their call list.  She took my info and assured me it would be removed but it could take up to 10 days.  Only time will tell if that worked.

The easiest way to deal with these is......don't answer 1-888 calls, when you see the number on your call log, do a google search, and if it's a scam, 800notes or like type websites will come up.  Bada Boom Bada Bing, you just saved yourself a ton of aggravation.  Face it folks, no good has ever come from a 1-888 call.  Seriously!

These poeple call me constantly. I always tell them im not interested and to take me off their list. Today, the guy was extremley pushy and quite rude. He told me I was making  a huge  financial mistake, I told him I didn't need to take advice from a telemarketer. He hung up on me. Hopefully that will  get me off the list.

These morons call every day asking for a specific person. Every time I tell them "X is not available". I wonder how many times these idiots will call before they figure out they will NEVER be put through and that I am laughing my butt off at them.

These yoyos phone quite often ... and you may as well have some fun with these characters.  I have made a list of profanities and profanity laces sentences that I just read to the person ... I do not give them a chance to answer.  After a while they just hang up .. I can get them to hang up .. it is lots of fun.  Just pretend that they represent a person whom you would just like to tell off and do it ... the most important thing is to never agree to anything for every use a word that could be interpreted as agreement .. they will use any excuse to have a sales rep come to your place.

Here is a solution to this problems.    Works for us.

There is NO stopping all the telemarketers out there. Here is what is going on.

1. There are phone bots, that all it does is call numbers looking for live phone numbers. If the number answers either with you picking up or your voice mail, then it logs that number and moves on to the next number.

2. With all these 'live numbers' they are then sold to the telemarketers who then with their automatic dialers, will then be calling you etc.

3. If you try to call the number that they are calling you from, then you get no where because they do not want to be bothered as we are with 100 of calls.
So you are either getting the telemarketers or the phone bots calling you.   Getting mad or calling to be taken off their phone list is a waste of time.

SO OUR SOLUTION, as we are in an office, is we answer the first time, and as soon as we know its a bot, or a telemarketer, we save the phone number in our phone as a Z meaning that it is a telemarketer, etc.

Then when the next call comes in it shows that it is a Z and  we just ignore it.

Right now, we have over 40 - Z phone numbers on our log, and we no longer get bothered but we are adding at least 2 a day to the Z list.

Give up ... find a way to just know that they will never stop but there is a way for you to know in advance that they are calling and to just ignore them.

Sooo very annoying!  They always hang up and you can't call back to be removed from their calling list! I reported the # to the BBB, so the more people that report, the quicker it will stop!  its a very pushy sales guy, and as soon as i mention the BBB, he hung up!

There is no need to pick up the phone or call them back. Whatever is they do, just don't do business with them.

They call almost daily.  Never anyone there and they never leave a message.
