I'm in Arizona and I got a call from 773-573-1691. Lisa Fox left a message on my machine and said I was a finalist in a contest for an Escalade or an Explorer. She gave the call back number 1-888-493-8245 x150. I didn't return her call either...I entered no such contest.

Just got home and found same message from Tim Lou for Ford Explorer contest and call back number 1-888-493-8245 ext. 150. Limited Promotions was what name sounded like. I wanted to check online for validity of company and I thank all of you for posting your information. I never entered a contest for a Ford Explorer or other SUV. Be careful out there!

Tim Liu from sweepstakes promotion left voice mail said I was finalist in sweepstakes for Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator.  "It is imperative that I call him back" 888 493 8245 x 150. Knew it was a scam so I looked on the internet and found this site.

I also got two calls, and perhaps a recent magazine subscription purchase is the reason why I would end up being called in the scam.  But I looked up"prize claim center and ended up in scam.com, where everything is explained.

They left a message on my answering machine saying that I submitted an entry form and that I am a finalist in winning a car! They left a call back number 1-888-493-8245 ext 150, contact name Tim Lou @ Sweepstakes Promotions

I didnt submit any forms and not going to call them back.

They also called my second line (minutes later) from 773-573-1714

got a call from Peter Brown x 124 and Tim Lew x 150 saying I was a finalist to win a Ford Explore.  He said to go to ITC 7600, 901 31st St. Washington Harbor Building and bring my drivers license, state ID, and major credit card.  He said he was with sunshine promotions.  Then he tried to get personal info on my like my husband's name and my name.  When I asked why he didn't already have my name if I entered a contest he said I sounded too young for the contest and was getting irritated.

Received a call saying that I entered a sweepstakes and was a finalist for a 2008 Lincoln Navigator.  I called back to get a recording by a Yolanda Green. I never entered a sweepstake! Marketing people being real creative>  Who are these scammers? Wish I had read this before I called back!

Some guy claiming to be Tim Lu called me with the same claim that I was a finalist for a brand new ford explorer.  I asked what company and he said "limited marketing".  I asked where are you based and he said they are based out of Chicago.  Then some more phony sounding stuff about his boss being on the line and he'd have to call me back.

I'm with yall.  I received the call too and I'm in Texas.  Has anyone gone to see if you really win a prize.  I have sat through some of these time share things in other cities, but at the end you get the prizes or gifts that they promise you.  Has anyone gone to one of these?

Got the same call today but this was from  kim lou.  Didn't return the call.

I am in Alexandria, Virginia and got a call from "Tim Lou" of Limited Marketing (773-573-1691) who left a message on my machine that I was a finalist in a contest for an Escalade or an Explorer. He gave the call back number 1-888-493-8245 x150. I did not return his call since I entered no such contest.  I would be afraid to call that number because it would probably immediately charge my phone some outrageous amount.  (I know that was an old scam that was run a while back).

I'm in Las Vegas, NV and I got a call from 773-573-1691. Tim Lu left a message on my machine and said I was a finalist in a contest for an Escalade or an Explorer. She gave the call back number 1-888-493-8245 x150. I didn't return her call either...I entered no such contest. I reported this to the Federal Trade Comission.

okay - same call same prizes noted as everyone else....now x150 is to a Tim LU.....I too am on the do not call list....

These dirtbags are timeshare salesman. They immediately ask for you name but I would not give it and told them to look it up by my phone number. He immediately started his script and he actually said "your name was selected", so I said "ok, what is my name?" and he got beligerent and turned into a strret thug on the phone and said "yo, you intererested or not?" I laughed at him and hung up. I am saving that 888 number that is in all the notes on this board so I can harrass them back the next time I am bored.

I just received a call from a man idenifying himself as Kim Loo telling me i'm a finalist in a sweepstakes to win a Navigator or Taurus.
I never entered any such contest & did not answer the phone. He left me the above info/message.

I also recevied a call that I was a finalist in a sweepstakes that I never even entered. He gave me a bogus address in Ashville,NC where I had to go to find out what my prize would be. The first time he called he told my wife to have me call 1-888-493-8245 ext. 112. Then I typed in the number on here and found out it was a fake.

Just got the same call on my home number -- which is on the federal do-not-call registry -- this time from Tim Liu. Hope these lying SOBs get prosecuted.

My dad received this call on his answering machine and it was for me.  Funny thing is, I have my own house so any contest I would enter would have my phone number on it and not his.  Googled the number and decided best to not leave them any info.  Did however call and then hang up from work just to see.  Could barely understand the message (very unprofessional and sounded scripted) and the caller's name was "Peter Brown."  instructed to call 888-493-8245 since I was a finalist in a contest to win a new vehicle.  His number was listed on the do not call about 2 years ago and still active, so I filed a complaint on the #.

Got a call this evening from "Chris Kuba", ext 105 for the Esclade.I don't do the contest thang and am on the do not call list, so I figured it was a scam or possibly scamola.

I got a call at about 6:01 PM EST on Jan 2, 2008.  The recording said that I had entereda drawing for a new car and that I was one of five finalists.  I know this is not true, because I do not enter drawings.  The recording went on to say that I should call 888-493-8245 ext 150 and ask for Mr. Kuba.  My Caller ID showed the number 773-493-8245.

BEWARE......This is a scam !!!

Chris Kuba - extension 150.  The voice mail left no details, but stressed that it was an urgent matter...  Glad I checked out this number first.

Chris just called me as well.  Thanks to everyone who posted.  What exactly is "this scame."  I did call back and left a "safe" call back number. I will not give him any personal information but i will do my best to find out what exactly this is about and if I do I'll make sure to post it back to this list.

Another "Chris Kuba" call, both lines lit up at exactly the same time.
