The company says they are calling me because I recently applied for an online loan. When I try to tell them that I have not applied for anything, they over talk me. I am getting numerous calls a day from these people.

Have received at least 10 calls over last couple of days from this number. No messages left. Please STOP!

These people are using the magic jack thing that allows them to use a computer to make the call and it
looks like they are on state side but they're not. They can use a legit number to show up on caller id
and when you call it goes to jamaica or another scamming country. The consulate in jamaica did not
answer my complaint so i guess they condone these actions. a friend of ours was scammed out of
$5,000.00 and almost lost her home, she is in her 80,s and my girlfriend and i are making her payments.
Our government doesn;t care or they would do something.

This phone # has been calling for several weeks, never leaves a message.  Cannot contact them and will report them to FCC and FTC

Frequesnt calls asking gloria or no answer

The same guy calls everyday. I answered a few times and asked to be put on their DNC list. The guy says I"m on the list but yet I continue to get calls. This has been going on for a few months. What action can I take against this company/person??

Yea, that works great when they call one time. I get calls from the same number 8-10 times a day, on going for 3 years and it kind of sucks. They don't reply to any of my inquiries and never take my number off this call list.  I want to know what kind of a**-hole does buisness this way and im pissed I can't prevent being harassed.

No! We still have a debtors prison. Best example: Child Support. justify however you want but it is still a debt that you get thrown in jail for AND it doesn't absolve your debt in ANY way.

same story for me... they call i answer and they say a few quick words and hang up... Best advice is because it is the same number calling...  i just saved it on my cell phone as "Dont Answer Loan Scam" that way i know just to ignore it every time they call!! i recommend you do the same.

there was a period of time where i was getting hundreds of calls a days because i filled out an applicationfor a quick loan... My mistake.. But what i did was sign up for social security protections and everytime i got a call i would say right way my accounts are protected and this conversation is being recorded... That stopped the majority of the calls

3-4 x daily.  I finally called and thy asked for me by 1st name I angrily replied what do you want that you call me 3-4 times a day? they hung up.

I've had a similar experience as other people here. They keep calling and asking for James Collins, who is no one that I know. It started about 3 weeks ago, and between these calls and other calls and texts asking for this James person I'm at my wits end. They hang up on me when I say there is no James Collins at my number. They hang up when I ask for a manager. They hang up when I call them back and they hear my voice. Must be terrible to work at that place. Also, same experience with the accented callers and the random voices in the background. This number is the one that I get calls from most consistently. Seems to be mostly payday loan information that I have been receiving from the calls and texts.  I just signed up for the DNC registry today, so after the 31 day waiting period if they are still calling I will be reporting them for sure.

This is one of many numbers used by scammers in an attempt to extort money from you.    There are several scams they will run, the most common is that they are calling for a state attorney general's office(usually CA), and that there is a criminal complaint against you.   They will ask you to confirm your address and that you will be arrested at your place of business.     I receive the calls, because about a decade ago, I signed up for, and received, a payday loan.   Apparently, the payday loan companies will sell your information, so the scammers have A LOT of information about you.    As has already been said, you cannot go to jail for debt in the united states.    These people will bully you, and generally will get very angry when you question anything about the legitimacy of their claim.    And their names are usually very American, despite them having thicker accents than Apu from the Simpsons.   I've been dealing with these calls for years now, and they have decreased in frequency, but I still get at least 1 every month or two.    I mess with them now, and their calls truly become the highlight of my day.    Bottom line, don't worry about the calls, don't confirm anything they say and of course, do not give them ANY FINANCIAL INFORMATION!

I have been getting a call at least 3 times a day for several months. The times vary throughout the day and I never answer the phone because I don't know the number. Any of my accounts that I have with my car and credit cards do not call me because I am up to date with all my accounts.
I have no clue who these people are or what they want but whatever it is they won't be getting any info from me.
I have had this number for 2 years and I have had all kinds of crazy calls from strange numbers.
Most of the callers have stopped calling me except for 888-497-6839.
Tired of the calls but I don't answer them. Just hoping they will eventually stop calling me!!!!

I called the number back and they said thanks for calling your online payday loan.  I hung up I have not requested any loans.

Their number is not listed because they use SKYPE to call from India.  You can put any phone number that appears you are calling from.   They are located in India and are SCAMMERS.  Do not or CONFIRM any information they say they have on you.  You have nothing to fear; they are not going to do anything.  I have been dealing with scams like this for 3 years and I always get my jollies playing with them.  They get mad and eventually curse and then hang up and don't call back.

Their number is not owned by anyone (AT&T, Qwest, etc.).  They use SKYPE or other telephone computer software to mask their number.  They are located in INDIA.  They always identify themselves with fake American names.  I have call block on my cell phone through mrnumber.com so they are blocked.  Once in a while I call back to play with them.  I say "Justin Baker?  And you are INDIAN?  Ummm. OK.  I'd like to order some carryout chicken curry with elephant s*** on top."  They get mad and hang up.

Easy:  block their number !  From your home phone service or for cell phones use Mr. Number app. You can block phone numbers and text messages.  go to http://mrnumber.com from your cell phone browser and download the free app.

I have been getting a call almost every day for 2 weeks from this number asking and insisting to speak with a helen or helen david. Today I asked them who they were and what was the address for this Helen because she is using my phone number. They said it was about a student loan application and gave me this address....  Helen David @4230 Clissibe Dr. Wallkill NY 12589. Please look into this and make them stop

if they need to contact me Use my email

get calls 3 times a day Dont answer and I have reported then they will not stop
so I just dont answer and delete the number
do not call list is a wonderful tool for these people
and if it is offshore the FCC will tell you it is out of
their jurisdiction
meanwhile the phone company is making  bundle
from people who want to annoy or scam you

unknown caller, calling 4 X 5 times each day. How do i stop these calls.

These people have called me 13 times in three days. I can't understand a word they're saying because of the heavy accents, but i have told them repeatedly to take me off the call list and they keep calling. I have no idea how they got my number, but i want it to stop immediately. Thank you.

They are very much active.  I'm getting 2-3 calls a day.  I have a number blocking app on my phone but the call still rings once anyways.
