Received a call from the company of Shapiro and Price threatening to issue a Fraud Warrant for my daughter.  I did a conference call with my daughter and Timothy Peters and he was very aggressive and threatening.  Luckily I was on the phone and was able to take control of the conversation before my daughter gave out to much information.  I requested that they email me the documentation that they had and advised them that we would review it and contact them back.  We did our due deligence and contacted the Company that they indicated was issuing the warrant for Fraud (which did not make sense) and found that they had no clue who this company and that my daughter did not owe them.  I strongly believe that if I was not on the phone the conversation may have went differently.  Do not send this Company any money or entertain any type of conversation with them.

Just recived a call from 8884990864 just don't give them any info when I told him I was not giving any info after he read back my last four SS numbers,,,He said oh you are one of those....this happend a year ago and one man was yelling at me and cussing me out ! It's a scam I own nothing at all to anyone never have never will report it and hang up. ..............................Maria

recieved call from 888-499-0864 wanting info. on a james hex i wasn't here. i called them back man answered and wanted info such as my area code. i told him that he was looking at it , why was he asking me questions when he was looking at the answer to his questions.i asked him to spell the name of his co. since i couldn't understand him. he spelled shapiro price. i told him to get off my phone . after some bad language from both of us. i told him to get off of my telephone again .he told me no. then i explained to him that he would because i had another phone and i was calling the fbi he then hung up.

         I have never been through this before.  I was reading all the complaints on this number.  This company has me scared because they sound so legal and proper. Your post caught my attention and is very well written.  

       I was a victim of complete Identity Theft back in 2007.  I was being taken to a local court and had to pay several thousand dollars in bad checks that I never wrote.  I used a company called Advance America to get enough money combined with my job at the time to get enough to pay the bad checks to keep from going to jail.  When my company ran a background check on me as they do everybody so often I lost my job because at that time the bad checks was on my record.  I then couldn't pay Advance America back.

    My question for you or anybody else that reads this is can this Shapairo and Price really come and arrest me or take me to jail for not paying this Advance America back?  I have basically been unemployed because of this identity theft since it happened.  Can you help me Ms. Smith or somebody else please help me????  I could really use the advice as I don't want to go to jail.

THIS IS A BIG SCAM I SPOKE WITH AN ATTORNEY N SHE SAID THEY NEED TO SEND YOU SOME INFO DOCUMENTING WHAT YOUR DEBT IS. WHEN I ASKED A MAN BY THE NAME OF SALVATOR FOR SOMETHING IN WRITING HE CALLED ME A SCUM BAG SAID HE HAD NO TIME FOR ME AND WAS GONNA PRESS PASSING BAD CHECK FRAUD CHARGES ON ME, THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME ANYONE ON THIS FORUM SAYING THEY ARE LEGIT IS PROB SOMEONE FROM THEIR COMPANY. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME AN ADDRESS TO SEND A MONEY ORDER THEY WANTED ME TO USE A PREPAID VISA CARD. I REPORTED IT TO THE FBI, THAT IS WHAT MY LOCAL PD SAID TO DO. WHAT EVER U DO DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY IT IS A SCAM

So I rcv'd a phone call from some lady named Nicole Stone..doesnt that sound like a good porn star name. She stated that the county I live in had turned in a complaint for fraud against me. Funny because I called the courthouse and they told me the county would not hire someone to do their job. So when I called back these people, they would not answer. Something tells me , based on everyone's comments, I will be hearing from them soon. Does anyone know someone that can help people like myself

These people are driving me flipping CRAZY!!!!  They keep calling my home # looking for someone I don't have a clue who it is!  I've called them and left messages for them to quit calling, but they still call at least 2x Mon - Fri!  Any suggestions on how to get them to quit?  My concern is they are reporting my number belonging to this deadbeat, and it will cause other creditors to call.  Currently there are only 2 calling.

actually i work at a collection agency and we work cashnet accts that they put here for contingency collections, cashnet cannot speak with its clients reguarding the delinquent debt. cashnet will tell you to mail them a payment, pocket it and you will still owe it because your account is either in collections or an attorneys office, make sure cashnet or the lendor still has your info before you pay them s*** because it might have been sold or is in collections currently

I have been receiving phone calls from this "company" for over a year now, they aren't an attorneys office or anything legal. I called today January 13 and got the same recording,  I called back and a woman answered the phone, told her they had the wrong # and to remove my # from their database. Needless to say I got a call 2 hours later. My next move is to contact the states attorney in Texas, why Texas? The # on caller ID is from area code 210.  I suggest you do the same. Goodluck.

I have been receiving calls from Shapiro and Price on and off for months.  I have asked them to take me off of their list, they say ok, then I get more calls about a month later.  They leave a message stating that they are calling regarding a returned item from my personal checking account.  This is a SCAM!  Beware, don't give them any info.

They call me like 6 times a day. They do not even have the right name. It's some Emilio name.. I have no clue I cannot understand when they say the name. I think it so funny that they think someone is dumb enough to hand over all their info to them. If I had a problem with my banking account with a check. I think I would contact them first, or the bank would have called me first. DUMB SCAM!

My daughters phone keeps recieving a call from 888-499-0864. They are asking for a Jason. I tried calling them and there voicemail says they are out on christmas break until 12/26. This is 1/7/11... Please help me with this.

I recieved a call on my answering machine saying i had an issue with a returned item on my checking account.

i checked my checking account and it says nothing about a returned item or any issues.

i will call in after 9:00 am and see
jokes on them if they clain a returned check as i have all of my issued checks (i never used them lol)

First and foremost weak b*****d you don't know my situation or anyone else's for that matter. These a***oles threatened me for over two weeks and when I threatened them with a lawsuit. All of a sudden I get a letter in the mail stating that they made a mistake and I wasn't who they were looking for. I knew I wasn't because I would never have taken out a payday loan. I make well over 70,000 a year I am far from broke and I have A-1 credit!! So watch what you say when you don't know what your dumb a** is talking about. Get a life!! If you are so high and mighty why don't you help some people in need as I do for those less fortune than I.

They are calling family members in other states trying to find us. Idiots.

I was contacted by Ms. Green at 888-499-0864 when asked for a account # I was transfered to another gentleman named Marshall Thomas who proceeded to tell me I could settle my account for $300 and some change. I told them I would get a check and call them back. I then proceeded to contact CASHNETUSA.com and was informed by the person on the phone that they are not  allowed to give any information out at all and they would never talk about a problem with my account with anyone else.

Please Please contact them directly if you get a call from this number. They are a scam trying to get money from you. I am a hard working person who pays all my debts. Please I beg you to contact CASHNETUSA.COM at 888-801-9075 if you think that you owe them.

And watch out for Scams.

I look at so many complaints for mediation firms and collection agencys on this forum, you guys all jus owe money you don't wanna pay and cry about it and the econony, your the reason, so keep dodging collectors and lawyers offices, ull all be jobless and broke

they called me to i owed for a payday loan in 2007 i called them but to my knowlegde the pay day loan company is out of biz it was advance America,they are just tyri'n to collect a debt or they r bankrupt and collecting debt so do what u need to do i couldnt pay them and Bob Carson said it would be on my credit for 7 years you can always ask for a hardship lump sum payment, but they are a debt collecting co.

It's all a scam if they call you.  Give them no info and hang up.

I keep receiving calls from this number stating that my husband got a pay day loan back in 2007 and the check he gave bounced.  First, Shapiro and Price is NOT a valid company.  They are scam artists trying to get a simple $495 from you.  Second, if it truly is a bounced check, your local State Attorney's Office steps in.  Third, it's a CIVIL matter, not criminal, therefore, they CANNOT arrest you.  They have to take you to court.  The last time I received this call, I requested an email with documentation.  Over two weeks later, no email.  I called them on the their attempts to scam me and haven't heard back til now.  They know what to say to "scare you", however, THINK before you give anyone your money.  Not only do they have your money, they also have your debit / credit card numbers and you are now open to Identity Theft.  If this was truly legitimate, they would send proper documentation.

Wow I actually spoke with someone @ that office today n gave them payment info, I spoke witha a man n he didn't use threats, I figured I'd research them, I'm not sure but they seemed legit to me, I used a debit card for a 495 dollar settlement as agreed, that's all they took and sent me a letter after stating the agreement and said a paid letter would be sent after it clears. Anyone else have a problem?
