Other #'s used for the same type of scam 888-382-7940, 877-245-1472 both are now disconnected.

these knuckleheads send out text messages but the # only stays active for a short period of time.....keeping the FCC off their trail (tails). (or) If bored I will call the # numberous times and put in the FBI phone # or something. I believe there's a minimal charge to have 800/888 #'s but the price to the owner increases after a pre-determined # of calls (5 or more)By the 6th call, they're gone and perhaps activated another #. Ha! Sadly though it must be profitable or they wouldn't continue to do this.

Just got this too. They are definitely phishing, when you call the number the first thing they want is a credit card number.

I just recently got a text message about a C.U. account that is frozen. The message source is listed as 60090@tmomail.net and instructed me to call 8885001070. I called the number and listened to an automated voice tell me to type in my 16 digit credit card number. The funny part is, a bank name was never issued. I assumed this was a phishing scam and when I typed the phone number into google, I assumed correctly.
