This is the phone number to ICSolutions. ICS sets up prepaid accounts so that people can receive calls from a correctional facility. If you receive a call from this number it is someone in a correctional facility trying to come in contact with you. If you would like to accept the call you can always cal the number back and set up an account. If you want the calls to stop you can answer when the number shows up and listen to the call prompt to select the block option.

your probably working for the third party company... First, once you accept the call, the billing starts immediately, and it is billed to your phone number..... your advice is bogus.... Next, somebody does not have to know a person in jail to get a call from this number. The inmate could dial any number, whether they knew a person or not, and the call would ring through... Once again your advice is bogus... In fact your entire posting is factually incorrect, basically a lie..... And yes, the caliber of people that I know, would not be doing anything to land in jail, and if they did, the certainly would not be calling me. I guess I am either that privilege, or I just lead that righteous of a life that my friends and people I associate with are that honest, good and righteous of people. You should try it sometime.

Good info I agree, sounds like skeptics that do not believe it is a prison call service, I just found out same info, my search of the number revealed a prison and as I thought I do not know anyone in prison my wife texts me and says me that she just bailed our 17 year old son out of jail.

If you go to prison, YOU should not be allowed anything, including phone access.     It is not meant to be a college dorm.    You are a CRIMINAL and should be treated like one by the state, not just some poor soul who is not at fault.

You know ppl what if it is someone that is in Prison or Jail that knows something of a member of your family? It doesn't hurt to just find out. That first minute is free, it costs you nothing. Then if it is someone trying to harass you, then report it. Common sense ok? I once had a Friend's Brother call me from Prison and he couldn't get a hold of her. He wanted me to forward the information that was where he was. It is no scam.

You provide a lot of useful info but you haven't addressed Frank's main problem which is "They refuse to change it later or work with people to get account information changed." This means that if your phone company allows third-party collect billing, you can be called and called and called, and billed and billed and billed, and your only defense is to hang up every time the inmate calls to limit your cost to the first minute of every call. Sounds like a SCAM to me.

This is not completely accurate. Calls from 888-506-8407 do mean you are receiving a call from an inmate. If you receive only a 60 second courtesy call, that means your phone company will not allow the inmate telephone service company to bill you for collect calls. If your phone company does allow 3rd party collect call billing, you will get a regular collect call and it will show up on your phone bill. The only "cut" received by the government, is the federally regulated taxes and FCC regulated fees that are attached to your regular phone bill too. The cost of the calls are based on how local your phone number is to the facility. Your area code and the pre-fix (XXX-XXX). If your phone number isn't local, you can expect a hire rate. Also, the rates for each call are negotiated by the jail and the service provider. The payment processing fee is generally $5.95, some facilities are different and the provider that has the phone number 888-506-8407, has payment options that are free of that charge. Please get all the facts before beating these people up. They will go out of their way to help you. They went out of their way to help me understand and because of that, i am able to help you better understand how it actually works.

I do not understand why i would receive a phone call from this number, however i am afraid, my father was murdered in 2011, i was raped feb 2012, we both received several death threats prior to both since 2010, i have had perm restrain order against ex spouse from 1994 to present who has continuously broken orders and crimes continuously committed against me do not seem to be held accounted for....i am concerned, is this a threat from a contract hit or related crime? An innocent mistake as the number i received is a cell number purchashsed a couple months ago seemingly from a person who has people pursuing them, this could lead to a lead in my case(s) or not, what does one do to find out who made this call without jepardizing themselves? call just received not more than 30 minutes ago.

Glad I found this page because I've been getting calls from 888-506-8407 several times a week. I haven't been answering since I didn't recognize the number. I've sent a note to Inmate Calling Solutions telling them that I don't want any more calls from there. I just hope it works; it's annoying!
