This fellow called my place of employment (in California) and left a detailed message on the general phone line regarding a supposed debt I had. I don't know what he's talking about; however, according to my attorney, in California collectors cannot call your place of employment if you ask them not to, debt collectors are restricted from discussing debts with parties other than the debtor, AND payday loans are restricted from legally prosecuting a client for an unpaid loan. Additionally, they can only get $15 over the original amount of the loan (which is $300 max in California for payday loans). Apparently, this guy isn't in California or he would not dare do this in this state! I will be reporting him to whatever agency the Attorney General of California refers me to tomorrow!

I don't have experience with this company but have had situations with these online payday lenders. Report them to your state's Department of Financial Institutions if they are charging that much they may not be legal to lend in your state it will cost you a lot of headache and worry

Called threatening me with allegations of an unpaid debt owed to plain green payday loans. A $260 debt turned into over $3500 including "attorney costs and fees". "Rachel" reduced it down to $900 and they were wanting payment right then and there. What's funny is this company never once attempted to mail, email, or call me over the past 8 months that this has apparently been past due. To my knowledge I paid the debt off but I cannot locate a receipt at the moment. Planning on contacting plain green themselves tomorrow. She said they had sent a summons to me, and someone was looking for me....despite having an incorrect address. I will pay it if it's legit, but I get the feeling it's not. To my knowledge, I thought it was illegal for companies to do this. Does anyone have any experience with this particular company?
