The Guy that called from 888-517-0246 was John Randle and was just a recording to verify the address that some person lived at my address and lgave a case number also

I got calls from these people this summer but they were using a different #. 855-304-3080.
They were calling my Job and even left a my boss a message with a case # and everything. When I called and questioned "who are you" they got very defensive and hung up on me. Now today 12/08/2011, they are back on my Job voice mail with this new #. 888-517-0246.
I'm getting really fustrated with these people calling..

I received a call from my mother in CA.  She stated a Mr. Phillip Vega called and stated i gave my mother as a reference.  He needed to verify my address and phone number. She refused to give him the information.  I have never used my mother as a reference due to the fact she lives out of state.
This is a scam... if it is for a summons or something legal they would already have your information.
And they do not call ahead to give you heads up that you are being summoned...

REPEATEDLY CALLING JOB, TELLING THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY I WORK FOR THAT THEY HAVE SEALED LEGAL PAPERS FOR ME THAT THEY HAVE TRIED TO DELIVER TO MY HOME ADDRESS AND NO ONE IS LIVING THERE ????? I HAVE LIVED IN MY HOUSE FOR OVER 8 YEARS AND WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE??? YOU CALL THE NUMBER AND YOU GET A RECORDING , WHEN SOME GUY TALKED TO MY BOSS, THEY EVEN GAVE HIM A CASE NUMBER!!!!!!

Someone left a message on my home phone, stating that this is their last call, that Iam being sued by
the court in California because I haven't paid my loan in the amount of $1,498.00, which took place in
New Mexico in March 2008. Stupid me, I called them back because I worried that I might be a victim of identity theft. A guy which I forgot to put the name down, asked me for the last 4 digits of my social security number and my DOB, and I gave it, I was so stupid to give these information.He told me that
I have to pay this loan before it goes to the DA office and summon will be served. I insisted that I will hire a lawyer but the guy told me not to hire a lawyer because I will pay the lawyer more than what I owed them. I said I don't care, I am not paying for something that I did not do. He also told me that I signed an arbitration letter. I told him to fax me that signed arbitration letter, but he said he won't do it. Then I said that I will go and report this to the police and I will call them back. My advise to all of you is this, don't give any iformation over the phone. Tell them that you don't know how to speak English and you don't understand English.

And just substitute bad check, or whatever type of money they claim you got that you didn't.  Dio not call them back, do not talk to them.

I have a message on my answer machine from Mr. Vega I called back they do not have any body by that name so they transfer the call to somebody else.  They want me to give them a credit card number because I owe money.  I requested information on writing by mail and they did not want to sent it so I tell them to give me their mail address so I can send them a money order and they did not want the money at the end they hang up

My aunt that lives in San Antonio who I rarely talk to received a call today from someone asking for me. They gave my fathers full name and stated that they needed to speak with me, it was urgent. They told her that I had given this number as my fathers...I don't even know her number and #2 my dad is in the Philippines. They stated that I needed to call this number and given a ref# of alpha and numeric. I asked my aunt who did they say they were with and she advised that it was too hard to understand the caller. They didn't give any additional information.

They called my ex boyfriends house, where I have not lived in 9 years. My ex's family did not know what it was about and gave them my new number. They left a message on my phone that stated they needed address verification. Then they called my work and left the message that it was about a summons for a court case.

They had someone call me with a caller id block to my house and cell phone. A guy that wouldn't identify himself said he was a servicing agent. But wouldn't say what the call was about. Just to call this number and use a certain alpha numeric number when someone answered the phone. When I called they answered business center. Told me I owed Ace Cash Express a $1000.00 and they bought the note from April 2009. I have never done business with that company. He said that I ws sent something in the mail 45 days ago that I never received. He then spit out some basic information on me that anyone can find on the internet. Then he said a bank account number that was not mine, and said I worked at a company I never heard of. I hung up on him. Then I called back to get a lady on the phone that was rude and obnoxious. I told her she needed to prove the debt. She got even worse. I just hung up on her. I contacted the BBB, they never heard of them. They refered me to the American Collectors of Texas for info on this company. Emailed them because voice mail box for consumers was full. Waiting for response.

I got a call last night, One call was asking if there would be someone home to receive the documents by mail about a law suites. I was given this other number to call. I called and a man answered, I don't remenber his name. I was advised that an assistant attoney was on another line in regards to my unpaid account and I was being sued unless we could resolve it by phone. After a while of me explaining that I have no debts with any company, he insited that I pay before going to court. He transferred my call to the Hardship department and Olivia Rodriegez gave me an account number since they could take money by phone. I have a Bank of America account number that I am supposed to deposit cash into. I have read many things about this phone number and feel it is a scam. They also stated the company was BGR.

this number is a scam!!  dont give them any information!   they told me i owe a debt and i fell for it   i paid them 1500 dollars and i never got a reciept from them so i investigated and found out that it is a scam!

The company is GBR, a debt collection company in Tuscon, AZ

They called my ex and his wife saying that I gave them their number and address as my own. My ex and I have not been together in almost 10 years!!!!!  They not only told them that someone was filing a law suite but they also gave them what is supposedly my account number.

I did today I called number back lady answers and won't tell you anything and then says she will transfer me. I hung up.

I too have recieved a call at my place of employment stating I need to call 1-888-517-0246 because there is someone is has a law suite on me.

I received a call from at my place of employment.  Left message said he was John Randall and needed to verify property address and left a number to call the "issueing agent"!!!  I have no idea who this is or what it pertains to.

Some guy named John Randall calls me today and is looking for address verification????? I have no idea.Anyone else get a call from this # ?
