I got a call from 888-521-2153.  I was told I had a claim against me.  I was also in "litigation" I was told.  This is against the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.  I recorded the phone call as it is legal in my state.  I told him I was recording the call ( I did not have to, I just wanted a reaction.)  These people are threatening to serve me papers.  Whatever.  If I see anyone on my property, I am calling the police.  They need to send me verification of my debt through the US Mail.  If and when they do (they won't) and if this debt is mine, I will pay them with a money order.  Never ever pay them with any kind of credit card or bank account.  Know your rights. Nobody will show up on your doorstep and arrest you.  These guys are thugs.  I am glad I live next door to law enforcement.

Received a call on my cell phone demanding to speak with my wife. When I asked why, I was told there were "charges" pending against her, and the caller had "paperwork" to "deliver" to her personally. I challenged him of course, for his identity, at which he only gave his first name "Adam" and refused any further information. I told him to basically go to hell, and demanded to know what company he worked for. Finally he gave me the name of Nationwide and the phone number 888-521-2153 to call. He also gave me a "case number." Funny how he had all this info all along, huh? I called the 888 number, gave the case number, and was connected to a "Johnny Marcos." They told me they couldn't talk with me without my wife's permission. To make a long story short, she gave her permission, they told us that this was for a payday loan from 2007, which had already been discharged in bankruptcy. They had my bankruptcy case info also, but ignored it! These guys are bottom-feeding collection agents, their threats of arrest and prosecution are PHONY (you can't be arrested for a civil claim, only a criminal case) -- avoid them like the plague they are. Another name: "Andre Johnson." They are all D-I-C-K-S, and LIARS. They refused to give their company address, they identified themselves as a law firm, which are all FDCPA violations! If anyone here can get an address for Nationwide, please list it. Otherwise your only recourse is your state's Attorney General.
