888-522-1940 - this number belongs to `Timothy John Szabolcsi`. He is a scam artist who is still not behind bars. He runs a `Financial` business (http://www.manta.com/ic/mxjx8pt/ca/platinum-pacific-equipment-financial-inc)  as well as a `Realty` business (http://www.realestateplusplus.com/buying.html). `Tim` was on the Dr. Phil show.

Male calling asking for the owner.  I told him that the owner doesn't take sales calls.  He said "well I suppose the owner knows everything there is to know about health care reform" - I hung up.

A woman called my office number and said she was from McAfee and wanted to talk to the person in charge of internet security at our company.   Also had a voicemail from this number prior to this call, and heard only people and children talking in background -- no message left.

Received a voicemail, no message left, but a faint background conversation was recovered...
I'll quote here. I'm certain our staff was vage when they attempted to pry information... My call screeners are good at this. "I don't know, They don't know, they don't know what they do...  I guess, I'm going to go for the IT guy and then he'll... It's a hosted company Or they'll go I don't know, He'll guess, who knows"

Here is how to file complaints with the FCC:  go to FCC.gov
Informal Complaints

The first step in the complaint process is filing an ?informal complaint.?  Even though the process is called ?informal?, the commission takes these complaints seriously and they receive substantial attention and consideration.  The informal complaint process requires no complicated legal procedures, has no filing charge, and does not require the complaining party to appear before the FCC.

Formal Complaints

Consumers not satisfied with the response to an informal complaint can file a formal complaint. A formal complaint must be filed within six months of the date of the FCC?s response to your informal complaint.  The current fee for filing a formal complaint is $200, but it is subject to change.

Formal complaint proceedings are similar to court proceedings.  Each party must comply with specific procedural rules, appear before the FCC and file documents that address legal issues.  Parties filing formal complaints usually are represented by lawyers or experts in communications law and the FCC?s procedural rules.

This idiot calls non stop.  He somehow has both my office and cell numbers.  I programed this number in my contacts and named it "do not answer this call"

I had a problem with a similar person who claimed to be representing home security company.  I said, you really think I would tell you - a random person on the phone if I had a home security system?  He was very persistent called many times a day.  I finally reported him to the FCC.  I told him the next time he called and he stopped calling.

Looking through messages, this appears to be a telemarketing company pushing McAfee (or a scam). I told them that I was busy and that they would have to email me the info. Since then they have called my cell 4 times with the silence followed by a disconnect.

I received a voicemail at work from this number that simply said "screw you". real nice. I tried to call it back while my temper was flying but it continues to ring busy. What. a loser.
I like the idea of muting the phone once you answer & then surprising him with a loud yell! can't do that at work, need to think of something else.

Got a call this morning from this number.  They did leave a message...sounded like burping and farting and a lot of talking in the background.  I called them back and it just said that all of their agents were busy and I would be routed to the first available agent.  Idiots...

Just got a VM on my work phone and it was some guy...heavy breathing for about 2 minutes.
Sounds like he's typing or something. He laughed at the end of the VM and then hung up.

Answered and immediately muted my microphone, the guy didn't seem to know if I answered or not so he didn't start his heavy breathing (Which sounds like he's performing an inappropriate act on another man mind you).  I kept him on the phone for about 1:30 listening to the background noise to try and figure out what it was.  Then I un-muted the mic and screamed extremely loud, which he didn't appreciate and hung up.  Good times.  I wouldn't worry about this number, just seems like some moron trying to get a rise out of you.  If you can, do what I did.

I just received a call from this moron.  Scary that I heard all the heavy breathing and background noise (as well as some references to "catnip"). Only then did I read this thread and discovered this is (or must be) SOP.

Boy seems to be having a grand ol time while making phone calls.

Luckily this was to my office phone and I can program the system to reject calls from this number (I actually am able to and perhaps should [but wont] program it to auto forward the call to another number.  Perhaps the ASPCA).

Sometimes I just crack myself up.

They have called everyday since the 22md of July - I answered the first time (as other post) - I have since added that number in my cell phone as "DO NOT ANSWER" so as to NOT incur charges on my cell bill - today after they called me I called them back on a different phone - they answered as "E TECHNOLOGIES" - I told them to take me off their call list - he said he would - i did not think to ask his name - he did say he would have to call the number again once to ensure it would be removed - as I am typing this post, they have called twice, letting it ring twice then hanging up.  Let's hope it works THIS TIME !!
