They call my brother and sister- law gave a case# and the 1-888-524-1858 and it is a bad number. Melinda Hill is the person know company name was given

They called and stated they needed to speak with me about a matter involving HOA (Homeowners Assisatnce) a company in Santa Ana California.  I don't know who this company is and I will not return their calls.  They are NOT identifying any company name.

Same call today from 8885244075.Same type of message they left on my machine.I will not call it back. They also gave me a case # whats up with this.

this is Collection Corp calling about American Express. they left a case number, phone number and name for me to call back. i called her back once for each time she called me. the last time i spoke to her she was yelling at me to stop calling. pretty funny!

Didn't leave message. When I called back I got mouthy when an arab asked for my name. I told him I was worried about ID theft and wouldn't give my name to him, and that I was wondering why they called. He asked me what number I was calling from, when I told him that I wouldn't say, he repeated my phone number.I asked what company name he represented and he said Collect Corp. for American Express, I told him I had no buisness with them and hung up the phone.

Why avoid calls for you?  What is the point of running away from your own problems?

they called my husbands father and told him they were calling for my husband about a legal matter in reference to, and they gave my father-in-law a case #. This is absolutely rediculous!

They called me and I answered and they hung up on me.  I returned the call and got a lady who asked who I was. I gave her my name and she put me on hold then hung up on me.  I called them back five more times to figure out who they are.  Noone would answer the phone. So I am posting this because this is a shady company that doesnt care about collecting any information.they are looking for gulliable people and trying to exploit them.

I received a call from a local area code 515-418-9339. When I look this number up in here it has a variety of different callers. I would guess they are just sending a false caller ID with a local exchange so I might pick up.  The message left on my voice mail stated my name as asked whoever lives here to call and verify if the number they have is correct. They then gave a call back number of 888-524-4075.  When calling the number they give, I get a recording with no identifying information. Just thank you for calling, if you know your parties extension please dial it now if not press 2. If you press 2, you get silence. If I call the number on the caller ID I get a message stating the caller you are trying to reach is not excepting calls at this time.

Called my job asking for a person I knew but did not work there. Did give a reference number said it was about an american express account.

Wrong!  These people call everyone in the country with the same or similar names

Company call almost daily.  We are not who they are looking for.  They call for my husband who has no AMX card.  We've called the # on my card and we are paid in full every month.  We have reported these calls to the FCC

Guess what... we owe AMX nothing!  And have called them ourselves to confirm.  The people at this number and several other numbers they have ask for your CC #.  DO NOT GIVE it to them.

No it does not mean that you owe money just because they call you. People change their phone numbers, and get a signed a number that has been recycled. Get a clue! These people are rude, and it does not matter if you have a payment plan with them, they will keep calling and trying to get more. There is nothing they can do legally as long as you are meeting your obligations. File the complaint with American Express.

It does not matter if you get into a payment agreement with them. They will keep calling each and everyday wanting the full amount paid in full. They do not follow their own rules when you set a payment plan.

Okay new tactic for collections corp for amx. They called me today, asking for me, my name, saying I was being used as a reference for some other person, whos name I'd never heard of. I was stunned and thinking, who is using me for a reference that I've never met. Then they asked if that person was here, I told them Id never heard of them and asked specific questions about the organization. She couldn't tell me amx name but read off My Address, except with a different apt #!
I then realized it was my neighbor they were looking for, a neighbor I do not talk to or know at all. I told them to fix their records and I was not getting involved in a matter where I had no connection. She told me to google the number 8885244075 to get my answer to who they are and I did.

That's the friggin number that called them are you an idiot? I mean come on.

What is wrong with you?  How would you like it if someone was posting your name and work number online?
