Your name, address and phone number (unless it's unlisted) is pretty much public information so you really lost nothing. Had you given your CC number, you will find strange difficult-to-cancel subscriptions showing up on it every month.

I was sent a postcard and asked to call this number as I selected to receive $100 in gift rebates good at Wal-Mart, Target and more. It had a claim number on it, so I gave it a call. A very foreign speaking man told me that I was being given this voucher because I was such a good customer of Walmart. Note how they spelled Walmart on the card. That made me leary. He then asked me to verify my address, which I did - stupid me - he had it - or should have - but I gave him what he asked for - and also gave my name. He then asked me for my credit card to pay for shipping and handling so they could send me my voucher. Now excuse me, but if Walmart is truly sending me a voucher because I am such a good customer, then I do not believe they would want me to send them money for shipping and handling, so I got very suspicious and started asking him questions. The man started to get very aggravated with me, and finally asked me if I wanted the voucher or not. I said no, and he hung up. This is a scam people. Please do not fall for it. I am going to take it to my local Walmart tomorrow and let them know what is going on in our community and also to the local police. I hate to see people get scammed.
