I have received several calls from ADT as we recently moved and got this phone number. I finally gave up and answered 3 days ago, listened to their sales pitch and politely told the lady on the phone that I was not interested and that we do not wish to be contacted again. She apologized said she would add our number to the do not call list and to have a nice day then hung up. Now I just now received another call from them, when I answered, they hung up.

I called the number back (888-528-9550).  There was an automated answering prompt from ADT security.  After a minor wait (<2 min), a man with an Indian accent identifying himself as Adam answered the phone. I kindly asked to have my number removed from any/all calling lists (i.e. place on the do not solicit list).  He verified my number from his caller ID and stated that I would be added to the DO NOT CALL list and never receive another call from this number again.

We'll see...  If I do receive a call, I'll let this post serve as a reminder of when I first called them.

This number calls multiple times a day and when I answer there is no one on the line. When I choose not to answer they hang up after 2 to 3 rings. I called the number back, it goes to a company called Protect Your Home - local ADT dealer. If I can ever get ahold of someone, I will ask them to remove me from there call list.

I get calls from this number several times a day. But at the beginning it said ADT, and I answered and told them I didn't want anything they had, had no use for it. But they keep on calling. Now they let it ring for about two times maybe 3 then it stops. I wish there was something i could do.

After getting calls from this number for months. I was able to block the number so that my phone doesn't even ring. But it still shows up in my phone log as attempting to call almost every day. It must be some kind of robo dialer that connects only if someone picks up. The best thing to do is try and block it - some phone providers have this blocking feature. I don't see any other way to stop it.

I've been getting the same calls for about two months now right after I got a home phone. I recently had a newborn and needed a phone for the house since I do not carry a cell phone. Well these people are seriously demented. I usually get an Indian guy every time saying they are from ADT. He will call at least 6 times a day. I got so fed up with the baby being woken up from them calling that I told them to call me back in a month and that I might have the money for whatever they are selling, hoping they would forget me. Same day I got signed up for the DNC list.

It didn't matter if both me or my husband told them we did not want the system, they would just say they would call back another time no matter what. They asked way too personal of questions. I tried so hard to be nice. But I couldn't this time.

Few day's ago they started calling me again and I would pick up and then hang up so the phone would stop ringing. Well today they called 3 times in a row so I got frusterated and picked up and the guy says "Having phone troubles Ma'am?"
I said "No I have just been hanging up on your calls."
He says "Well you told us to call back in a month and..."
I cut him off and said "Look we do not want the system thank you, and we got put on the DNC list so you might wanna check it!."
He says "Well may I ask why you do not want the service?"
I said "I just don't f****ng want it! I dont have to have a reason!"
And he said "Fine!!! Bye!" with an attitude.

I'm sorry but this s*** is harassment and I can't stand these people. Next time they call back I'm taking the advice of that guy and getting a blow horn! =]

This number has been harassing me for over two month's now. I recently had a new baby and decided to get a home phone since I don't carry a cell phone. Low and behold, a few day's ago they started back calling. So pretty much whenever they called I would answer and hang up so it wouldnt wake the baby. Finally after them calling three times in a row today I answered. He says "Having phone troubles, Ma'am?" I said "No I have just been hanging up on you." He asks to speak to my husband I said he is at work and does not want alarm system. Then he asks me again and I said look we do not want the system and we got put on the DNC list so you better check it. Then he say's "Can I ask why you don't want it?" And I got loud and said "Because I dont f****ng want it! I dont need a reason!" And he said "Fine! Bye!"

You have got to be kidding me. This is harassment! Something needs to be done!

I have a brand new landline and received a call from this number asking for a relative who lives overseas.  They claimed my number was left as a reference and due to my relatives work our communication is limited - he would not have this number.  An hour later the same number, different person, called asking for yet another relative!

Buster Posey huh? Didn't realize the catcher for the San Francisco Giants was so hurt up for cash that he needed to sell security systems. Lol

Received a call from a man claiming he was Buster Posey with ADT and wanted to know if we monitor our house and system.  Also wanted to know if someone was home all the time.  I told him NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS and hung up.  Sounds like they're a scam or even casing homes.

I also have been getting calls and no one ever talks to me.  Why would you bother to call and say nothing?  Sounds like a waste of everyone's time to me.  This started with my new phone number through Comcast so there's not a lot of rhyme or reason to this except some seem to be linked to ALL new phone services.

changed my phone number 1 week ago to an unlisted number - Verizon promised me it would be unlisted.
Well, the person who had the number before me must love telemarketers!!  This number has called me 20 times a day = very rude, indistiguishable broken english - and frustrating as all get out!  I am also on DNC register which is a total waste of tax payer money and time.  Time for the phone companies to take responsibility for blocking unwanted calls....not the government who is ineffective and costly

I have a brand-new phone number and ADT Home Security has been harassing me multiple times a day, starting within hours of my phone being activated.  I'm on the Do Not Call list.  I've asked politely to be taken off their call list.  They call from multiple numbers and they call so often that I recognize the numbers on the caller ID.  So, now I just pick up the phone and say "Domino's Pizza.  Please hold."  And I put the phone down and walk away.  This has slowed the calls down to about one a day, which is better than the 4 or 5 that I was getting!

They've been calling all week, even on saturday and sunday evening. Yesterday, I answered but they did not speak to me so I hung up. This morning I picked up phone & just listened to them. I heard the wise@$$ on the other side imitate a spanish person, "Bueno"...I didn't respond because I'm not spanish, but I happen to have friends who are & that is how some of them answer phone calls. After a while, the guy says, "Hello", so I thought I'd respond & say the same. Then he got weird on me with a southern accent when he pronounced my husband's name. I just told him he had the wrong number. Whoever they are, they need to be professional and state their business if they really want ours.

We had just gotten a new home phone number less than 48 hours before these calls started coming in.  It's ridiculous.

THis should get a chunk of numbers to stop calling.  But if they are your personal bill collectors there isn't much else you can do.

this number started calling as soon as i told 817-887-2012 to stop calling.  and they both say they are ADT reps if you answer.  started the DAY  i turned my Time Warner Cable phone on.  Wondering if they are sisters companies or something.  A loop hole in the do not call registry since im technically already a client??  Just a thought////

Great suggestion, my buddy loved to do that and he always said wasted time is no money and I love to talk.

Okay I got a call at 11:30 am from 888-528-9550 stating this is Carrie Slogan contacting me from Lubbock County got to meet with me or contact me within 48 hours regarding my case to call back 855-313-9795 ext 629.When I call the number 888-528-9550 it answers with ADT.Did anybody get a similar call????Is this a fraud

I keep getting calls from this number with a hang up.

My co-worker loved "junk" callers, he would talk them to death and buy NOTHING and that is how you stop these jerks. No sales equals no profit or pay checks so you decide what the "JERKS" get for calling,  ZERO is good.......................Mikey says try it you will like it.

Calls all times of day, we don't answer and now mail from them????   Moving company passes our info to them and they are very hungry for new customers and maybe going down the tube---ha-ha. We like to think ADT= another dumb telemarketer.  Don't answer let a machine work for you, they won't take no for your answer, see other posts.

this is the same "agent" who says  he represents ADT, Comcast, etc.  this is an independant sales con who pays off other folks to do service callsTripped him up in the conversation

Folks:  If you get unwanted calls from anyone, remember that we are presently living in a largely unregulated corporate era of greed and mean.  Call centers marketing all kinds of products are everywhere.  The worst of these call centers, the most abusive, may sometimes get caught  and told to shut-down.  However, that does not deter them.  They simply set-up another call center elsewhere--and, annoy you again.  Also, call lists are generated from all kinds of sources.  Thus, having your name taken off one list doesn't mean it won't show-up on someone elses.  It's a nightmare trying to stop unwanted calls.  

The National Do Not Call Registry can help.  Record all numbers at this registry, and, within 30 days, many calls will stop.

However, the only way to stop unwanted callers is to block them.  Unfortunately, depending on what kind of phones you use, this may be difficult to do.  Obviously, there are costly products to block calls.  Do a search for yourself online.  These devices are attached to your phones and proceed to identify unwanted callers and immediately disallows calls from going through.  For some consumers, this may be worth an investment.

Harassing phone call.

This company got 75% of their bill paid around november 2011 from from a service in August. This company calls me everyday when there are more bills ahead of them, they are very annoying.  They call me every Sunday more then four times a day day and night.  Please help me in finding out how can I resolve this matter?  I already talked to them and explained to them that they will get paid once I pay others that are ahead of them.  They are acting like a year went by and it's just stupid annoying!
