I was wondering, when everyone filled in that 10-minute prescreening, what information did they ask? I know I did not get through the creditreport.com, but I'm worried I entered my social security number in the prescreening. I cannot remember what information I gave them. Help please.

Just like everyone here I received an email and because I need the job I went through with the fulling out of the application and then I got to the credit check information and they asked for my social and credit information but my account was overdraft unbeknownst to me so the credit report could not accept my information. While sitting here waiting for my mother to put money in my account to do the credit report I decided to google the company and could not find anything until I came to this site and saw all these emails which is similar to mines. I received this email and it is just like everyone else's.  If you go through the 'screening process' they will ask you a few questions for example, "what are some goals including career goal you have set for yourself?" after the questions they will tell you that they are a world wide company and that there interviews can be held over the phone and they need to verify your identity and that you are eligible to work.  Then you are asked to to do a credit report on your self and and give them the reference number.  That's when a red flag went up for me.  I didn't click the verify button and began to research.  Called the number on the website and (800) 354-0128 and you are given 2 prompts and they are both always busy.  This is a SCAM and a really unfortunate one.

My foolish self only got the idea to research this crap in-depth only AFTER I had completed the screening. I fell for it...but in a strange way, I only "kind of" fell for it. Brown and Simpson, huh? The fact that the OJ Simpson case kept coming up upon Google searches of this company made me think the real information was simply hidden behind all of that. Anyway, here's my story.

I completed all of the required information up until the Credit Report part. I put in all the information that was required of me, including my debit card info. However, it gave me an error message that my card was not able to be found. I never got any credit report information of reference number or whatever the application asked me for.
I think the reason there was an error message is because there was no money on my debit card. In fact, it has a negative balance since I haven't been able to pay the monthly fee lately (you see now why I was desperate enough to fall for this, har har). So what did I do? Walk to the nearest Currency Exchange 30 minutes away to pay just enough to pay for the $1 charge for this report, of course. When I returned to go put my information back in, this time was a little different. I clicked the link provided for the Credit Report, yet another message came up that said a credit report was not needed, and I was able to complete the application without it.

Now, I don't know if I lucked out by not having any money in my account to submit the information that would have been my doom, or if the Credit Report system recorded my information anyway despite me not finishing anything and it giving me an error message. Either way, the scam company still has the information I provided to them in the application. That I'm a little worried about, but not quite as much as if I had REALLY given them my social security number and debit card. My girlfriend gave me a stern yelling about giving my social security number away so readily, but I was never asked for a social security number at all. Lucky me

I see no unauthorized charges on my account so far. I may have accidentally dodged a bullet with this one, but I'll still remain wary of what's going on with my information. I really need to research more thoroughly before doing stuff like this.

When you signed up on creditreport.com and gave them your card info, you've likely signed up in the fine print to *BUY* monthly services (credit monitoring, etc.) that you were never made aware of. You should also prepare for ID theft and should consider placing a freeze on your credit report.

I never got a call, but found this site 30 minutes after i completed their "pre-interview screening". i signed up for creditreport.com, got my credit score and provided them with my membership ID. I called creditreport.com to see if they could get any additional information from me with this information and they said no. I called my bank and placed a password on my account to increase security. Can't believe I fell for this one... should have known immediately when the email came in at 5 AM... I guess I was just too tired this morning to do the appropriate follow through.

I got the same freaking email! I answered all the questions, although I was skeptical and then I got to them asking for a credit check! Thats when I really knew I needed to do more research!! I just received one and now they are Green & Morris, but same address!! After filling out the "screening" form I received an error message to fill it out again from the beginning.  However, it did not ask me to conduct a credit report on myself.  This is so aggravating!!!

I received the same email about an Administrative Assistant job and I had to take a 10 minute questionaire. Then it asked me to do a credit report. I feel so stupid because I did it. It didn't charge me. Now my identity might be stolen. How do I check that and protect myself? I mean I can't go back in time, but I do have good credit and would like to keep it that way. I'm pretty mad people can do this.

Wow, guess someone was looking out for me on this one.  I got the email also from Ann Henry from Burns and Henry in Miami for a receptionist position at $16.00 an hour. My email read the same as everyone else's. I filled out the questionnaire and had the deadline of Friday 2/10. They requested a day for interview which now has come and gone so I followed up in my sent emails to verify the date i sent it to make sure it went out and that I had record of it. I didn't know why at the time, why I hadn't gotten a call back to set an interview time. When I Googled the law firm name the only Burns and Henry was in Cleveland TN and they didn't know of any office in Miami Florida, which by the way, the woman there was really rude.   It was not in my sent emails so its a mystery what ever happened to it and why it wasn't there. Now to see it was a good sign that it didn't send.  Its pretty pathetic that we can't even go on reputable job finding websites to fill out a job application along with HUNDREDS of others to only get scammed there too!!

I received an email from HR Specialist Anne Henry of Burns and Henry, looked up the site from the email address provided, then googled the address under the Contact Us section (6568 McCharen Ct, Houston, TX) and it is indeed residential. Though it would not be unheard of to run a business out of the home, personnel services of multiple names are all centered around this locale, and is obviously a scam. Having been around long enough to know something was wrong, I never clicked on the link. I had a feeling they would ask for some type of information that they shouldn't be privy to. Thank you for providing the answer to that part of the puzzle. Whether you use a reputable service or answer an ad on craigslist, these people are creating false accounts and getting contact information to call or email you in the guise of a potential employer. Just got the same scam in my email.  Only now they have changed their name to Scott & Roberts at scottandroberts.com

Fake website.  Actually the whois info says Nassau, Bahamas is the location.  

I did not fall for it when I was asked to give my credit report information.  This only thing I lost was the time answering the canned interview questions...

I reported them to the government internet scam department of the US.
