This company LGR buys bad debt and tries to collect on it.  If you don't respond to the letter they have a process serving company call you.  I don't answer block calls, so I never talked to them.  I received a verification of the debt from LGR with a settlement agreement in the mail a week later to pay 25% of the debt now and payment of $100 per month.

This worked out good for me so I called the number and set it up with Rick Bowan.  He was nice guy very professional and accommodating to my situation.

I would have never called if they had not given me a payment plan I deal with these A**les in the past just demanding full payment now or threats to sue total BS.

Ya, I got the same call and when I looked them up on the web I saw they were a Junk Debt Buyer and blew it off.  I got served to appear in Superior Court, they are suing me for a credit Card debt from 2008.  I thought the statutes of limitations were up on this account but I found out they did not expire till August 2013, so now I am screwed.  I called them like the paperwork said and they went over the process with me on the phone.  When I asked if I could pay it now they told me because I was already served with the summons to appear in court there was nothing they could do.  The guy was very polite and professional with me on the phone.  He asked if I had received a call from the Process Serving company before they served me, and I told him yes.  He told me if I had called them then, they would have taken care of it before going to Court.  I am really pissed because now the amount is almost 3 times the amount, and they will most likely garnish my pay, because I don?t have that kind of money on hand.

I got a call from an undisclosed / blocked number and they said they were calling from Nationwide Process Serving and that it was a curtsey call?  I never heard of this, a process serving company never calls they just track you down and serve you the papers.  I asked them why the call?  They said they have a very large contract with a legal firm LGR and that LGR wanted them to locate me first and give me the opportunity to take care of the issue before being served. I asked them what the issue was and they told me they don?t have access to the issue, it was between me and the issuing agent. I called the company and sure enough it was about a credit card debt I owed.  When I lost my job in 2009 I could not afford to pay it and then when I got my new job I found out that the company I owed the debt too sold it, but they could not tell me who they sold it too.  I was able to get them to wave the insane interest and penalties that had been added to the account and I just paid it off over the phone with my debt card.  The company was pretty easy to deal with (considering they do collections) and I was able to verify everything by email while I was on the phone with them.  They sent me a copy of the debt (which I knew I owed) and a settlement agreement for the lower amount I agree to pay.  After I paid them they sent me a letter stating the account had been paid in full so I could get this off my credit bureau.

I got a call from a Process Serving company and they gave me this number to call, so when I called I found out it was a Lawyers office regarding a debt I owed.  I had moved a few times and did not know I owed this debt, but they were very helpful and I was able to resolve this issue, and get it off my credit report.

Called multiple times from a private number. Wanted info about me and told another person to call me so I could call 888-540-7064 regarding a summons to appear. Lies! Have not been served any papers to appear in court. Have no arrest record. Fraud. Lies. Garbage. Crap!

Received a call from "private caller" and was given this number to call along with a file number that I was suppose to related to whowever answered.  I was told by the female caller that this is usually for a summons to appear in court or related issue.  The person on the other end told me that they were a service company and that the call to this number s/b done immediately.  I was also told that questions would be asked to determine that I was the correct person.

My attorney told me that if I was being issued a summons to appear in court that I would be served in person or through the mail.  I did not return this call because of identity theft issues or possible fraud.
