I recd text msg this morning to call this number. Scam warning!

the text message i receive was "FROM : 1010100002

MSG:HONOLULU FEDERAL EMPLOYEES Notice. Unusual Activity - Call us now at 1-(888)543-7924"


The police shoudl set up a special account and contact info for this type of scam.  any time we are contacgted.. we should be able to call it back and tehn act as if we are giving them the real information, and instead provide teh "special" information the police provide to us.  this way they are able to track it more directly.

I reported this number to the FCC (using a form I got from this website when I was receiving scam phone calls about my "auto warranty."). That form is here: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

Receive,not a first-time,a massage saying unusual activities,federal
union etc.....
O.K.,i do have a track record of previous activities.
Craig list is a no.1` source of a scam,do not response to any msg...!!!with your cell.no.
Do not give your cell no. to any so cald business...
As a general rule,use a logic,why wont to talk to you will call you.!!

I also got this text before 6am on a Sunday! B*****ds! When I called the number 4 hours later, "The party you are calling is not available." I guess responding to the unusual activity text will have to wait until the next scam text message comes in.

I received that message too, just this morning so I google it right away...
how do these people accessed our phone numbers? is there anything we can do to keep our phone number safe?

i also got a text message that reads: Unusual Activity, call us now...... but i didn't call back, i googled the number first and found this posting.

I recieved a text message asking for all Honolulu Federal Employees to call this number.  When I called the number the message said it was the "Hononlulu Federal Employee Securities Dept" asking for my credit card information.  DO NOT LEAVE ANY INFORMATION!  This is a scam.
