The only way you are going to stop this BS is to go after the phone company they have their phone thru!
Give your Congress Person Hell to pass a law that "the phone company" should be fined 1 Thousand dollars say for allowing these people to harasses you. Elections are getting ready to come up and if they don't pass a law against this BEFORE ELECTIONS,  throw the BUMS out of office. They are only there for the money anyway--at least most of them but this is the only way you will be able to stop this BS. GO AFTER THE PHONE COMPANY after they say get 2 complaints That should stop them.  Then in  a couple of years have the fine raised to $10,000.00 per call. Last time I checked with the gov about calls like this they said they were running over a year behind in checking them. And they use an LLC so you can't get the person, just the broke company and they laugh at you all the way to the bank every day! Governments ALL fail. Now it is time to break up AT&T again like they did years ago and the service got better but they are back together again so you need to go after the phone companies and make them pay for this harassment.  IN MY CASE, IT WAS A WRONG NUMBER. The old man.

Calls everyday. Finally decided to call them back. It's Wells Fargo home equity. I didn't stay on the line long enough to talk to a live person as it is a recording at first telling you about interest rates and any rates discussed are APR rates and blah blah blah. I assume they are offering some promo to lower my interest rate on my home equity line.

These idiots have now called 4 times and left a message saying they are trying to collect a debt.  The don't ask for anyone by name and they don't identify the debt or to whom the debt is owed.  I have never been behind on any debts and have received no letters from anyone saying I owe anything.  I figure if it's legit, someone will ask for me my name or send me a letter.  But from what I read here, contacting them doesn't do any good and it changes the rules of engagement to their advantage.  Sorry, idiots.  If you really know who I am, there are other, more legitimate, more credible ways to contact me.  $$%^ off!

I received a call from this collections company, it comes across as "Anonymous" and "Private Number".  It was a man in India who was obviously at a call center.  They asked for the owner or accounts payable manger of the company and when I asked what it was regarding they said it was a private manner.

These people keep calling, but don't leave a message. I finally called them back and some woman answered. I asked why they were calling and she asked for my phone number. Next thing I know she says she can't find any information for my phone number and I said... well then why do you keep calling me. She said it might be a mistake and then said goodbye and hung up.

Suddenly, I am receiving dunning calls for a "Linda Evette" from a supposed collection company that blocks their number, so it comes in as an "unknown" number on my cell phone.  I have unknown numbers blocked so I don't hear the ring.  I only hear a alarm bell when a message has been left on my voice mail.  They identify themselves as "Receivable Management Services Corporation" a collection company.  The number each of their reps has used is:   (888) 545-4170.  When I used my LAN line and called that number a gentleman answered and said he was being persistently annoyed with calls from people being collected on. It's a private number apparently.  This company needs to have a Federal Trade Commission put on file.  If their this stupid who knows what other infractions that may be occurring here.  Add that they are attempting to collect on someone who doesn't have my cell number couldn't have, since I have owned the number for the last 6 years so it means this group is pretty lame when it comes to ferreting out current info on their intended prey! This is the Google hit on their name:    http://www.rmsna.com/global-services/third-pa ... on-services.asp         November 16, 2013.

I received a letter today at my address for someone that no longer lives in my household (retired to Heaven).  Without opening the letter I went on-line to access the company and then in the window of the envelope could make out the telephone number and called to let them know that status of the addressee.  I spoke with Donna Shields who identified herself as a bill collector and any information given can and would be used to collect this debt.  She HAD to have the account number, I told her that this information was enclosed in a sealed envelope and was not addressed to me, therefore I was not to open someone else's mail. She advised me to open it and give her the information even though she had said she could access it with the name and address, which I had given her.  She them demanded an acount number before she could assist me.  When I advised her that she was requesting me to break Federal law by opening someone else's mail, she said to do it anyway. Does this make her a party to illegal activities?  She did have trouble understanding me because of my accent.  I told her " I AM AN AMERICAN AND SPEAK ENGLISH!!" so I know she would not be able to understand my second language (East Tennessee).  If the company needs aditional information they will have to either come to my front door and speak to me through the door or meet in probate court and prove there is an outstanding debt, which will have to be done very soon before the estate is settled.  Since she was perfectly useless at this point I concluded the call.

All our financial obligation have ALWAYS been taken either by check, credit card of debit of our checking account.  And I have approximately fifty (50) years records to prove this.  So what is the chance of any debt being overlooked?

Since this incident started with the mail service and then with me calling her, I don't think this could actually be considered a call on her part, but I will block her number from my telephone so that I do not have to deal with her and her horrible sinus problem (snotty as hell).

The do not call registry does not apply to these crumbs. About all you can do is send them a certified letter telling them to stop calling your number. If they continue to call after signing for your letter, you can sue them through your attorney general. I'd much rather pay the cost of a certified letter then give these vultures one penny. RMS keeps calling looking for a person who doesn't live at my address.
Also, why doesn't their name and address appear when you do a reverse phone look-up.
To me this looks like a con to steal someone's identity.   The federal government should put a stop to this.

This place has been calling continuous for a month. It is an automated call, but I called back one night after all this harassment and spoke with a real live person.. I  threatened to call the State Attorney Generals office and this did not seem to help.  They ask for an individual that does not live here.  if this is the individual press 2. Then they say they will wait if I need to go get that person. or if this is the wrong number press 3.  All a canned message. When I called the number back, they wanted the nine digit claim number, which of course I did not have.  I am irritated beyond words.  I, too, like many of the other complaints am on  the "DO NOT CALL" registry.  Please stop this if you can.  No company name has been given.

I keep getting calls from 888-545-4170 asking for ________ (never a name mentioned) and if you are not Mr. or Mrs. ________ (again, no name mentioned), please hang up. If you listen to this message, you acknowledge that you are that person...

When I answer these calls, I hang up because I am NOT ______ (blank name) but my answering machine picked up the full message and it advised that the call is from Patricia at RMS and is in regard to "bill collection". The robo call then gives a callback number for Patricia as 1-855-222-5483.

Mine is a relatively new phone number and since they never mention by NAME who they are actually attempting to reach, my guess is it is an attempt to get a call back but for what I do not know but since I have no outstanding bills in collection, I won't be bothered!

You know there call list is at least in the tens of thousands.

If everyone would just call this number back and just hold,I mean everyone
anytime you have time to do it ,there phone system would be to busy to handle
the surge of calls and could not handle.

lets at least give this a try we have nothing to lose.

This is probably our only solution to stop these calls.
