I received a phone message from a Jason Cruz from PI incorporated. When I called back to the number that was 888 553 8015 the phone was answered as Corporate Office. I asked for Jason Cruz and was connected to someone name Angel who informed me he was a legal administrator for PRA. First of all they should get the name of their company straight which to me says scam. I was advised that I opened a credit card account with the first Bank of Delaware in Feb 2007 and owed 1432.00. The main problem I have with that theory is my credit is so bad I am not able to be approved for a credit card. I have turned this over to my lawyer and I am going to report them. I did not like that they have the last for of my social I think there is some possible identity theft. This company is going to go down hard, This company threatened to take me to court and garnish my wages.

I had a private number call me today then they left a voice mail. I checked my voice mail and it was a guy claimimg to be with P.R.A. Incorporated said that I was going to be served papers and that I had a credit card that was being used from 2007 to 2009 and in '09 I had stopped making payments said it was with First State Bank of Delaware. I informed them that I have never owned any credit cards. I have only used pre paid credit cards. So I was called back and got their name again and the bank and then told them I was going to give it to my lawyer. So you what the guy told me quote: "Sure, that's great I would love for your lawyer to call so that we can chit chat. I would love to sit down with him before we go to court." Is this a scam or is it for real?

This number is for NCO - a collection agency - they call upwards of 3x/day. What is considered harassment? According to the FDCPA, Section 806 clause 5: (5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person
in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously
with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the
called number. Sounds like it to me....

I have been called repeatedly from this number all week at least 3 times per day. When I answer the phone it just hangs up. I tried to call but after being on hold for 3 minutes it hung up.

I used to work for a collection agency. She put you on hold and went to get a cup of coffee. Then she came back and told you she went over her supervisors head. Never happened, believe me. I used to get people to give me their checking account number and tell them to send me the check, for the full amount, post date the check to their next pay period, circle the date and write 'void until' over the date, and no bank will cash it until that date. That was also bull. They sent the checks and the company promptly cashed them. Collectors get a weekly bonus in addition to their pay. The more you bring in, the higher your bonus. Good for you for not falling for the bull.

Got more than one phone call, but after I answered the phone and I was hung up on without speaking to someone, I called back. I reached a nasty lady who could not tell me why they would call someone and hang up, but she asked me my phone number so she could check on it. After I informed her she was out of her mind if I was going to give her my phone number, she had the gall to yell at me and then hang up on me! What a company!
Then I called back and heard a recording for 5 minutes.
Then I called back again and asked to speak to a supervisor. I'm still waiting after 5 minutes as I type this message.

Ironic they even wanted your measly" fifteen dollars. I asked if I could send them $15 per month and was denied. They wanted at least $25 each month. When I told them I had become disabled and on a fixed income and that was all I could afford each month. It didn't matter. She literally said in the same breath. " I can not make arrangements for payments that small, but here is our address ect., to send them in."
Like with you, they wanted to give me address on the phone, no tangible bills.
Outta Hand I tell you,
Female,Ohio
ps. I made it so the phone doesn't audibly ring when this number calls.

I recieved a phone call from this 888 number. I was not able to reach the phone in time, so I called back. After they informed me that they were trying to collect a debt of $15, I asked that they mail me a bill because I do not ever recall seeing one. She put me on hold to talk to her supervisior. When she came back, she informed me they could not send me a bill and that I needed to pay over the phone. I flat out told her after arguing with her for quite some time, that is they can not afford a 42 cent stamp to send me a bill, they will not get a check from me for $15. I told her that I didn't care who she talked to whether it be her supervisior again, or someone above the supervisiors head, but I was not going to pay them a penny until they sent me a bill. She then put me on hold again. Came back and said she went over the supervisiors head and they will be able to send me a bill. Then, she proceeded to give me my refernce number and the address to mail my payment. I wrote it down, but then told her that she was wasting her breath and time because if she were to just send me a bill that information would be on there. I don't have an issue sending $15. I do have an issue giving my bank account info over the phone to someone who has an issue sending me a bill.
