FYI, you can block up to 5 numbers if you are with verizon. I am sure other cell phone companies provide that service, as well. I have blocked quite a few numbers from calling me.

Stop one obnoxious caller and these people start calling and still trying to scam me with a different credit service.

Get their legal address, a legitimate business would give it to you without any problems. Mail them a Cease & Desist (you can find these free online) and mail it certified mail via the US post mail.

I do NOT have an account with the identified card provider mentioned here...Calls keep coming to my number.  This is  totally unwarranted harassment.  

We have a G.E. credit card. As I told them when they called our home several times My payment is not Due until November 5Th, so what do you want? Never did get answer to that. I am going to pay my bill as I do each month in full and this time burn my card.

They need to stop! I even Dave them my true name and social they say its not in there system but then call right back!

They don't stop. 17 call to someone named Susan my name is Laurie. I've. Called now 7 time and they say my # not even in thr system. But yet they call right back!!! PLEASE HELP!

I keep getting a recorded message not directed to any name that I should call the number 888-554-1388 and hear an important message. My phone is unlisted and I am on the don't call list. I intend to stop this kind of arrogant call and take them to small claims court if they continue.

There is an app called mr. number and some other ones too. Its awesome because you can block any unwanted calls from your call log. Since I downloaded it my phone stays quiet all it'll do is send a small vibration when its blocked. But you can change that setting if you want. You can choose to send it to voicemail or instant hang up whatever you choose. And its a free app in the google app store. Get the app and play with it. Best thing ever to get the annoying calls to not be annoying anymore.

I keep getting these calls sometimes 3 times a day and I never answer them. I have an excellent credit rating with all of the 3 major reporters so there is no way I owe anyone anything.

They called a second time today and left a message.  They asked me to call them back or go to www.cheverontexacocards.com which is a legitimate website and I do have an account with them.  I did make an online payment to my account but not sure why they keep calling me.

I have been receiving calls from this number as well.  No message is left and I never give out any account information to anyone I don't know.  This number can keep calling me all they want, I will not answer!

I should note that in the beginning it says they are Texaco/Chevron, but when I was transferred to an operator it said it was GE collection.  Before connecting me there was a recording saying they were a collection service and information you give them will be used to that end.

I got the first call today.  I've dealt with calls like this in the past so I thought I'd switch gears and give them a call.  It is part of a G.E. collection service.  I told them that I don't have any accounts with them and this is a new number.  The lady apologized and said they would remove me from the list.  FYI you will be prompted to enter in your account number or social security number by a computer voice but just keep giving the "I don't have it" response and eventually they will connect you to an operator.

Apparently I have the number used by some guy in the past who wasn't paying his bills and I keep getting hit with these calls.  If they keep calling just block their number from your phone.  Worked for me.

I recieved an email from GEmoney. My chevron card is paid in full and never have I been late on a payment. It sounds like a scam to me.

I get calls from this number and night.  I have a cell phone and the caller id gives me the number but not the name of the caller,  I do not answer calls from numbers that have no name attached or that I do not recognize

It hit me Today. I never have any thing with Chevron. I wish the government should get rid of this phone number.

I hate to say his but look at the back of any Ge money bank card ie Walmart lowes lord and Taylor qvc bell it says Ge capital retail bank. Ge finances these card not Walmart or lowes or any of the companies. You owe them the money at the end of the month not walmart. They r the carriers and your contract is indeed with Ge

I called the # after receiving several calls with no message. She asked if I had a Chevron/Texaco account I said no... asked if I had a Gap card... so the only possible association I had was with my Old Navy/Gap card which they showed was up to date.  Operator asked me if  "so and so" was at this # (couldnt quite understand her... bad connection) and I said no.  I have had the same # for a long time now and no one else uses it.  Seems that is why they kept calling me for this other person.  I suggest you call the # back and ask them to remove your name (and to be sure you didnt miss any payments by mistake).  We shall see if that works.  Have to say the operator was very nice and helpful which was a nice surprise.

This is a problem with this number. I am making a formal report with the Federal Trade Commission based on violations of federal statute concerning Fair Debt Collection Practices if it is a company debt collector. I never had a credit card from  Chevron/Texaco and it could possess potential for someone to try to steal someone's identity as well that works from the firm. Keep complaining and send report to the FTC and then it should be corrected very quickly.
