I have another number for your list. Also I think you should know that it does not matter about giving them info on your accounts because they are able to get it anyway. I had a charge on my account on nov 2 that was unauthorized and tried to locate these people. They do not exist. The number is 951-279-1823

Forgot to add that the number that called me, My mother n My father was 877-537-3335. I havent spoken directly with anyone yet, just got vms but I'm waiting for them to call back so I can c exactly what they tryin to say I owe for. Also wondering if this has somethin to do wit the apt i was denied for cause they said I had a public record that was keeping me from bein approved. I'm set a hearin regarding this on June 18. If this is what the public record is, I will b comin back to this site to let everyone know that this company can affect ur public records too and then I will for sure be sueing this company!

This so called company called me and left vm Fri June 8 2012, they called My mother lookin for me the day after and then called My father the day after My mother. My mother helped me look into it and told me her girlfriend at work got the same call awhile back threatening her asking for bank info. she took them to court to find out what she owed for cause the company wouldn't tell her. When she got to court, those people never showed. Luckily cause of My mothers friend havin this happen n several other people at work, we knew right away it was a scam. I panicked at first cause I'm a single mom of 2 small children but within 15min My mom got her friend on the phone n we compared phone numbers n realized it was the same people. I'm lookin into a lawyer come Monday. Oh n the vm they left on My phone said they were ocm, the vm they left on My moms they were obm n the vm they left on My dad said orca portfolio management. Can they not even get their company name correct considering it was the same lady who left all 3 vms? What a joke these people r. Guess ill b posting on fb to let everyone I kno bout this. Anything else anyone kno of I can do to fight back wit this company who keeps harassing me? Sue maybe? I did read from other comments left on this website that they're breaking fdcpa laws n that consumer law ctr in la will help sue them.

Basically the same message.  They buy old debts for pennies on the dollar.  In some states, South Carolina,
Texas, for example they c a n n o t   garnish your wages.  This is an old company, Global Bureau Of Recovery
coming on again, with a new name.  They are crooks who have been sued for their gestapo tactics.

They appear to be Global Bureau Of Recovery under a new name.  Scammers.    Under NO circumstances give them ANY banl info.  They have bought bad (and sometimes years old) debt for probably about a dime on the dollar (maybe 20 cents)...
They use fake names and empty threats.   I know someone there reads these posts...bite the big one crooks!  Record them and
there is a law firm (The Consumer Law Center) in the LA area that would love to help you if OPM gets too out of line.

Record their calls. They are violating the FDCPA. Record and log all of their calls. Demand a letter of validation and a verifiable physical address to send paper mail to. Refuse any e-mail or telephone demands. File FTC complaints for the violations of law they have already committed. Record their calls, log them and then sue them for FDCPA violations. Lawyers will take these cases on commission.

OPM has also been harrassing me and my family.  They called my parents house asking if they would be home the following day, so that I could be served papers.  My parents called me, told me about this, so I immediately called back.  They were very threatening, using words like lawsuit, going to court, being served, being placed on "check systems", etc.  I knew it sounded fishy, so I asked them to send me something in the mail regarding my old debt.  I never received it, and as of yesterday, spoke with them again, after the harrassing phone calls to my familiy members.  I just don't trust this company.  I tried looking them up on the BBB, however, was unsuccessful.  So I decided to google. And this is what I found.  I feel much better now, knowing that I am not alone in this scam.

Said they left several messages when only called once.  If I didn't call back by the next day by 10a.m., there will be no need to call at all. I guarentee that this company bought your information from some other company because its what these deb management companies do. They sell your info back and forth, Deny, Deny, Deny even if you haven't paid.

I received the same message from OPM (OP Management in CA) in February 2012 stating, if I didn't call back by 10am the following business day, that it wouldn't be necessary to call back.  My sister and parents called me as well, telling me that OPM had called them, looking for me.  I called this 888-557-5029 number back that day and spoke to Dina and she advised me that I had an out standing payday loan with CashNet USA and was being afforded a settlement of $377.00.  They wanted the money right there and I advised, I couldn't pay until the 24th of February.  She said that was fine.  Like an idiot, I gave her my debit card number for the payment of $377 to be debited from my account on 2/24/2012.  She asked for my email address, stating that she would send me a pay-off notice and to keep for my records as proof of payoff. She also gave me her direct number (909-475-0382) in case I had to call her. The money was debited on 2/24/2012 and as of today 3/1/2012, I haven't received a pay-off notice.  I phoned both the numbers I was given for OPM and both phone numbers are disconnected.  I phoned my bank and advised them of this and was told that the $377 debit was from Global Bureau of Recovery in CA at 951-304-3080.  I phoned this number and it was disconnected as well.  I phoned CashNet USA today, 3/1/2012 and indeed, in June of 2006 I did take a loan for $500 which was never repaid and was charged off in January of 2007.  I don't recall taking this loan but, probably did.  After all it was in 2006, nearly 6 years ago.  I assumed that it was a legitimate collection since they had contacted my family and I wanted to pay the bill.  Lucky for me, my bank is refunding me the $377.  Please beware of scams! Per CashNet USA, they are aware of this scam as well.

I got a message in the exact same way and its still on my answering machine from the same number you posted on.  I called there and they asked for  "john doe" and I said idk where in hell he got my name, phone, or address from, but the lady read it back to me.  I asked what it was regarding and they said a "lawsuit" against the other person and i said sorry I just moved here idk who in hell they are and she hung up on me.

i received a message that had threatening tones to it and warned that i better call by 10am the next day or else. They also said they had left several messages before and i was ignoring them--which is not the case. I immediately called back and no one was there to even take the call.  They identified themselves as OPM and Associates.  I 100% know that they are not looking for me or anyone in this household.  AND we are on the DO NOT CALL list.  
They better get their information straight---I recorded the threatening message for future use if needed.

They are from OP Management or ORCA Portfolio Management - Say they are calling from a litagation/attorney's office. They are a debt collector. Spoke to Jack Wienster who was very rude. These callers are  SCAMS. They call all the time. DO not give them any information and you CAN BLOCK them if you have that setting.  Here are the numbers that I found to be SCAMMERS!!!! I am keeping a log and will be posting them each time they call!
