Missed call no msg. On to my block list.

They called 3 times today and 4 times yesterday! Wants me to vote for Steve Dannon for county supervisor in San Diego.  REcorded by Jerry Sanders former mayor or something, I think.  I will NOT be voting for the guy just because of the annoying calls!

This number called several times and no one answered when I picked up.  Anything you can do to stop these calls will be appreciated.  I'm on the "NO CALL" list.

I should have clarified about companies you do business with being able to call you - that's UNLESS you've asked them to stop - then they ARE supposed to stop call and instead only call if it pertains to your current account.

Political calls and charities are EXEMPT from the Do No Call Registry, as well as companies you've done business within the last year (from recollection I believe it's a year, as opposed to only current customers). As for quiet enjoyment, that's covered by local laws pertaining to your dwelling, NOT your phone.

So while the calls may be annoying (and ugh, I think they are), the are certainly not illegal.

It seems SOMEone should have a mirror handy when speaking of being inconsiderate and incompetent.

Also of importance, there ARE groups out there making calls that initially seem to be FROM THEIR OPPOSITION with the INTENTION of being annoying and getting the consumer upset at their opposition, only to later find out it wasn't really from their opposition after all. (Now THAT should be illegal, because many folks will be pissed and hang up before they can find out it wasn't even that candidate that authorized or made the calls!)

So two things I guess, one should get one's facts straight before making accusations, and unless you listen to an entire call (ugh), you can't be sure it's even from that candidate.

I just these schmucks too. I love my new Panasonic kx-tga410 phone. It has call block in the phone itself and I'll never get another call from them or any other telemarketer whom I add....ever.

Why did I receive an unsolicited robo-call on my federally registered Do Not Call number from (888) 567-4565 on May 7th with a recording promoting Larry Breitfelder for Chula Vista City Council?

There are several federal laws broken here, along with the fundamental law: respect for the sanctity of a person's property and the right to "quiet enjoyment" of their property.   Inquiring minds want to know, who did this?  Why?

It makes Mr. Breitfelder appear to be either
1) inconsiderate,
2) incompetently unaware of what is going on around him,
3) or arrogantly breaking into people's privacy, like Newt Gingrich who loudly proclaimed "America HAS to hear what I have to say!"

What a turn-off.
