Telemarketer indicated "service" could be cancelled at any time, but how can you cancel when their line is always busy.

"Kristal" called from Advanced Business Services and when I asked what the call was regarding, she said that "the office (presumably our office) will be receiving technical support and we'll be calling you back", then she hung up on me. These people are scammers - don't believe anything they say.

I received a call from this number stating they just wanted to verify my business address.  I said I was not the owner of the company and they assured me it was just an address verification.  No mention was made of the service they were selling.  I asked what company they were from and they gave me their web address.  In hind site I see how sneaky they were.  Definitely intentionally trying to deceive me.  Now I am being charged $49.95 monthly to my phone bill.  Reported it to the BBB (their rating is a D-.)  They should be shut down, there are many complaints on the BBB about them.

I just received a call from this company and had a similiar experience. The original caller put me through to another person and as the continued to talk to eachother, I was hollering "Hello! Hello! Can anyone hear me?" They kept talking until finally the second woman acknowledged me. Then she said they were verifying my address and asked if I was authorized to make decisions. Previous to that she said that I was being recorded. So right after that I hit our record button and then she began to speak amazingly fast. And when she was done, I said, "I'm not sure what you just said, but I have you on record, also, so I'll just go back and listen. Then she  repeated what she slipped past me about the $49.95, again at an amazing speed and I told her that I am not authorizing anything on our bill, and then she said, "OK, we won't send you anything and hung up." I will have to watch my bill. I am also going to start coming down real hard on Telemarketers in the future. Who needs this kind of BS?!

I had 6 months of charges from this company added into my phone bill at 49.99. The representative stated that one of our employees authorized the service even though our employee never had authorized any services. Stay away from this company. They don't even provide the service they claim (online faxing and tech support)

I just had a call from this company, initially giving me the impression that it was the company with which we do most of our business system service. The first person was very pleasant and acted like she knew me and lots about the church where I work. She indicated they had a new service that they wanted us to know about and consider. She wanted to send me the free information and then she put the call over to "another department" just to verify the address and other information. That person, who said his name was John Young, was pleasant, but couldn't even pronounce the name of the town where our church is located. That should have been my clue that something wasn't right, but I'm a naive trusting soul. Then, "John" began jabbering as fast as he possible could (to the point that I couldn't quite catch on to everything he said until I heard something like $49.95 will appear on your next phone bill unless you cancel... Then, before I could say anything, the call was over and he had hung up. I immediately checked the number on Google and found this website. I went onto their website and sent an email to their customer service. I'm hoping they get the message that we want nothing to do with them, but I'll have to be more observant with the mail, etc. in coming days and weeks!

Company illegally "crammed" my business.  Their recorded call is a joke--they are clearly guilty of civil AND criminal fraud.  They tell you specifically that you are not being signed up nor billed for anything.  They also do not come CLOSE to establishing that the person who they get to unlawfully "sign up" is an authorized agent of the company.  They maintain that their activities are legal, but they are highly illegal and fraudulent.  They typically call in the evening and try to get a menial employee on the line and talk so fast to him that he thinks he is just verifying his age.  Legally there must be a signed contract by an authorized agent of the company that a reasonable person would assume he has authority to make these decisions.  Playing fast and dumb does not pass legal muster.  I encourage everyone who was called by this reprehensible company to contact the Florida DA and demand criminal sanctions be filed against the owners and employees of the company.  Also, call the Federal Trade Commission and file a complaint.  These types of companies have tried this crap with my business before and they later come to regret their attempted fraud.

Just received a phone call from above mentioned place. AdvancedBusinessServices. The Lady by the name of Trish also played a message back to me as stated above with the mentioned phone number. I asked them for a website/url.... which was www.myadvancedbusinessservices.com
When I entered the site there is fax machine displayed and the only way one is able to proceed further is via member ID and password. I googled them again and came accross this site right here and I decided to share my 'experience' before hand. I wish to thank you very much for having posted this information, for that I was interested to receive information.

Due to the fact that no one from AdvancedBusinessServices told me anything about that when receiving their information in the mail I would already be apt to pay, I didn't mind receiving the information.

In order to not being billed for any services that we may not even establish a written and legal contract for, I called 1-888-568-6362 back and let them know to immediately take us off their mailing list. I also let them know that I will not be scammed, for that first I wasn't able to access a proper Website, and second of all I let them know that I am contacting my local phone provider to refrain from billing the set amount of $49.95 to our phone-bill.

As our local phone provider is now warned, I am assuming and I am hopeful that this type of Scam comes to an end for many hard working people that already try to make ends meet without having to find ways to get their 'stolen money' back.

Peace,
Yvanne

I'm not even sure who answered the phone at my small business, but they apparently confirmed our business address for mailing "information you requested".  Next month, there was a charge of $49.95 + $3.75 taxes on our business phone from "Advanced Business Services".  But ... it was billed from something called 'ILD' at 800-433-4518 who then gave me the 888-568-6362 number to call.  This is a 'boiler room' ... when I asked the person on the phone if he had looked up his company under FRAUD on the internet, he said "which company?".

I told them to remove this charge.  A credit *was* issued on my ATT bill, but there was another identical charge added for the next month!  When I phoned again, they said: "The second charge had just gone out when you called, so we credited that one.  We can only issue one credit by phone. You will have to write." They gave me the fax number 727-461-7900. I have now faxed demanding a credit and for them to CEASE & DESIST charging my ATT account for anything whatsoever forever.

WHAT A SCAM !!!!!!!!!

Just hung-up with these guys.  Asked several times for a website that I could verify their existance.  Transfered to another telemarketer and I kept him on the phone for 10 minutes asking why I would want their services.  "Its a phenominal service that every business needs."  I asked if the telemarketer would send me 49.95 and he asked "why would I do that?"
This is a scam - Finally he hung-up on me.  My recommendation is to keep the telemarketer on the line as long as possible and refuse the service.

I was also called by these people telling me that they were confirming my businesses information.  I get many calls doing just that.  Then they played the recording.  I got the information in the mail today and I logged onto the website and selected cancel services, so I guess I am just going to have to wait and see.  I tried calling but no one answered.

Stay away from this scam @ 49.95 a month.  I told them at the end of the phone conversation not to send me anything and to take my name off their mailing list.  "Don" the marketer said they would. I will keep an eye on my phone bill over the next 60 days to make sure these scamsters don't bill my phone.

Received call from Advanced Business Services stating they wanted to send us a brochure regarding their technical support.  Then sent me to the "shipping area" to confirm mailing information. I stated all this to send me a brochure?  They assured me there was no catch, no charge, not signed up for anything.  Then I verified the address, etc and listened to a recorded message that was so fast you could barely get the phone number down.  This also talked about the $49.95 charge on my phone bill.  When the woman came back on I said I did not want it and hung up.  Hopefully it will not be on my bill next month.

Revieved mulitiple phone calls from Advanced Business Services in the last two months.  They said they were affiliated with the phone book company and had to confirm my businesses phone number and address. After I confirmed them, they played a message stating that I would be receiving something in the mail and if I do not call cancel their 'service' that I would be charged $49.95 per month. I'm even on the government 'do not call' list and have reported this to them as well. After hearing that I would be charged, I told the person I was speaking with, "Tammy Love", that I did not want to be charged and that I wanted to cancel today. She told me that this was not possible because I agreed to the service by confirming my information, and then she hung up. This call was very disruptive to my business and busy schedule.

Telemarketer (Crystal) called and said it wouldn't cost to send out information, that we'd be automatically signed up for "business support services" from some unnamed company involved with the Geek Squad. Also indicated the $49.95 per month and the 888-568-6362 call back, and gave me the website www.myadvancedbusinessservices.com, which seems to be an electronic fax service.

Telemarker called and said they were doing a survey and it wouldn't cost anything for them to send out information in regards to yellow page listing??? Then put through an automated voice recording saying once we receive this information in the mail we must call 1-888-568-6362 to cancel within the first 30 days or we will be billed $49.95 per month.
