No, telling them they have the wrong number doesn't work. Anyway, these bad debts keep getting sold to new agencies.  We have had calls for the last 7 years (since we got this phone number) for the same person who used to have the number. The same agencies and new agencies from the US and overseas have called for her. Telling them she hasn't had the number in over seven years does no good. We are at the point that changing our number seems futile as we probably will just get calls for the person that used to have the new number. We have had a 30 number capacity call block feature on our phone for several years (Panasonic KX-TGA641 cordless). I wish it had a 300 numbers capacity as I need to delete a number to add a number. Wish it had wild cards to block certain exchanges. The ideal would be to be able to send certain numbers or exchanges to a special voice mail message for junk callers. But these devices seem to be incomplete or taken off the market to cater to those who spend the money, namely the people who initiate these calls.

Wish I had known they were scam artist. I thought they were legitimate.  After paying them for several months. Never received any documentation in mail showing my payments were being made to my original creditor. Instead have recently been called by a Mr. FeeAuto representing P and B Capitol Group. I asked what my balance was and was more then it was 2 years ago. He said he would send me an agreement letter and an Email. Haven't recieved nothing by mail. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. And gave them the phone numbers he has called from. They don't pull up any so called business.  So they Have gotten their lsst penny from me.

888-569-9635 keeps calling me, they suck!!  They are scammers that should go to hell and just die in a lonely hole!!!!  P&B Capital Group is a horrible company..JUST BLOCK/IGNORE them and don't talk to the devils.........

These guys are scum!  I told them to validate the debt and send me something via the Mail and they refused!  I asked them to stop calling me for something I don't owe!  Very rude!

They called left a message saying a law firm and they wanted to touch base- left an extention-- called and I was collections- I work in collections and they can scare you w/ these words if used in correct order- File a law suit they will settle to get rid of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lots of money doing this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a call from this group this morning, the women told me I owed for credit card that was paid off and closed 6 years ago. The women said her name was Jane Powells and that she was calling from a lawyer's office and was fiing a lawsiut against me in my home state of Washington. She called from the number 978-654-4420 which is out of Massachttes but told me to call her back today to pay the 1600.00 to stop the lawsuit at 888-569-9635. The funny thing is the original credit card was only a 200 limit card and paid off in 2007. they are just bottom feeders and are not a true collections agency. At that I have one of the most common last names in the world and she refused to pronunce it correctly.

I want to know how one gets on their list to call, threaten. and harass. And I want to know how to get off their list or to get them to stop!!! I'm old, retired, and don't need this! I was widowed at a young age with 3 children. I worked hard. Life cost more than I could handle. I eventually joined CCS in order to pay off all of my debts in a timely fashion. And I did pay them all off! I've never been financially up side down again. I never answer restricted numbers or numbers I do not recognize. When I received the 1st voice mail, I knew I had no past due bills so I checked the Internet for references connected with their Co. or number. I found out they are a Scam! So I've been ignoring their calls ever since. But they keep calling & threatening!!! Help!

I statred getting calls from this number 1-888-569-9635 & 240-696-1992 about 2 weeks ago after I just paid off my bills  "What the hell is with these people"  I'm now taping m calls and getting set to report and go after them and see how thay like it......This is Bull Crap.

Got a message today from "Larry"at ext 117.  Said by law he has to inform me that he is a debt collector, even gave me a case number. I do not have any outstanding debts.  I see by the other postings this is a scam.  Will not answer the phone number .

Caller called my cell phone.  It's illegal to solicite to a cell phone in my state.  I don't have any past due bills & never had.  I have excellent credit & I'm not responsible for any other person or their bills as that goes.  Caller didn't leave message.  I'm reporting illegal call.

P&G  Capital Group been calling me and threatening me on the phone that they will be suing  me then hung the phone up on me.

Just started receiving calls from this number regarding a debt that NEVER existed. They will also tell you that they will keep calling until they "get their money". It is against STATE and FEDERAL law for a collection agency to keep calling AFTER you have directed them not to. They may ONLY contact you by mail.

I agree, however, they do not always listen. If any other company felt I owed money they would send me a non-threatening letter with a list of charges and I would pay it. I have forgotten to pay a Dr bill before and they just called me and kindly explained the situation. The people at this phone number that keep calling are very cryptic and aggressive, they do not have their act together, transfer me to various people and do not seem to know what I am talking about, probably because they all use fake names so I can never speak to the person that left the weird threatening phone message.
Anyone that wants to conduct legitimate business with me is always welcome to call. These people need to be watched.

I get the same calls but when I try to talk with them they can't give me any information even though when they just leave messages they are threatening. Lets all call them with weird names and file numbers and waste their time? Juvenile? Yes it is and I would be more than happy to address the situation with them if they would speak with me or I actually owed money. So, come on, lets call them over and over and over. Lets all call with the name Betty but with different last names.

I am being harrassed by this company, a "Miss Johnson" at ext. 152 to collect a debt, even though I had a bankruptcy discharged over a year ago.

They also call from 240-696-1992. The phone is from a Maryland exchange near Baltimore. I think they have satellite offices that call using NON toll free numbers. They recognize people ignore incoming toll free calls so they use these in an attempt to get you on the phone. The callers from this Maryland number dont even bother to tell you the part about "an attempt to collect a debt".
