Same here.  Valerie Reed is the person I spoke with at the number but a guy is who spoke with my family member first to get me to call them (he was calling from a county I had not lived in for 8 years).  Come to find out, their MO is they do not typically call the intended person first, they call a family member for fear factor.  I called and found out the details.  Was told I could avoid litigation by paying over $1600 on what was a $1044 debt when it was written off by the original credit card company (Household Bank - which is who most of the people that this company calls is from) and sold.  I was threatened to be served at my place of employment by a police officer and a process server whatever that is if I did not comply.  Has anyone actually had someone show up?  Contact an attorney, the Federal Trade Commission and your state's Attorney General's office.  Also alert the Better Business Bureau in California which is where this company is based.

Jill Monroe called a family member stating that they had a summons for my husband from Blair County. Called Blair county they never heard of her and did not have a summons for him. This is a total scare tactic and the best thing to do is let them know that you will call the county that they say they work for to verify thier identity and they will hang up for sure. Then report them to a consumer advocacy agency.

Jamie Adams called me and said she was with Harris county clerks office and had papers to serve me with. I placed her on hold and called the clerks office and they said they had never heard of her. This is a company who has bought an old credit card bill I had that the 4 years statue of limitations has expired on. They do anything and say anything to scare you into believeing they will have you served with legal papers. I called a lawyer and they said best thing for me was for them to serve me so I could counter sue for harrassment and misrepresentation. So come and get me

Keep getting phone calls from this number.  Left a message something about serving me with papers if I didn't call within (3) hours...called back...kept ringing...called again and left my name.  Never heard back from them.

Called family members also looking for me to serve me papers. When I called the number back, the guy answered the phone with the greeting of "schedules" and did not even answer with his name, the company name or firm he works for. When he transferred me to another person, I told them I was going to talk to my attorney and he hung up the phone.
