Got a call from this number on Friday offering a fixed 6% interest rate for life for a service fee of $1240.  They are very pushy and also very knowledgable- not the usual obvious scam.  When I asked why they didn't have a website they said it was to protect their customers information. Same response to not having emails or personal voicemails.  The NY address they gave I found online under a company that offers physical addresses for companies rather than a PO Box. I spoke with a Stephanie Bauer - who was very convincing and personable as well as a George.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC.   In looking at how old some of these posts are I am amazed this scam is still going on.   How can this be stopped?

This company also called me saying there name is Card Services. This is the name often used by legitimate credit card companies, but obviously its a made up name. They seemed to know everything about my balance on one of my credit cards, so I believed they were employees of my credit card company.

Stay away from these scams by always asking who the person works for before you have a conversation and ask for a number to call them back before you speak to them at length.

The same thing just happened to me.  I allowed them to record me authorizing a $840 charge, and then came to my senses and tried to undo it.  They threatened to send me to collections.  Spoke with "John Flores"  I have cancelled all of my credit cards, and put a fraud alert on my credit report.  Is there anything else I need to do?  Can they really send me to collections, and will I end up having to pay this?

Feel Really Stupid!
Who is named George with an east indian accent...
I just did it as well with real hope of reducing my rates.
Care Net is who they claim to be.. googled them and found the fraud thing, ancelled my cards before th charge of $997 went through.
I also learned that all Robo calls are illegal so if you get one, it is very likely a scam..

The same thing just happen to me.  I change my mind and hung up the phone.  They tired to call back but I didnt answer.  It is a scam.  The person on the line name was " Fred".  I had to cancel my credit card.  the phone call just didn't feel right.  I have read on several websites about this company scamming people. Please be careful.

They called me and I absentmindedly agreed as well. I called my companies and cancelled all of my cards, reported them to the FTC, and got in touch with the fraud dept. at my bank. SCAMMERS! I can't believe they got me; I am smarter than that.

this company called offering reduced credit card rates on all your cards.....for a large fee!  I absent-mindedly agreed, but after the first company they called refused to lower the interest rate...I said I changed my mind at which time "Sean" gave me to his supervisor, "Adam Clark" who told me it was too late to reverse the charges even though it had been less than an hour from agreeing to it...he also threatened to send my file to "collections" because I said I didn't want to proceed with it. I said I would call back the original person I talked to, "Sean" after I had a chance to think it over some more...he said that it wasn't possible and that he would send my file to collections. He was quite irrate by this point and said, "have a nice day". I immediately called all my comapnies and cancelled all my cards...big lesson learned here!! Thankfully they were not able to charge any of my cards any fees. Credit Card Services is what they called themselves.

888-578-6482 appears to offer credit card interest rate reduction for $hundreds. I would be VERY careful.

The company is Netcare or Net Care. Financial services. When you call this number, or others associated with them, you are on hold for six minutes, then cut off. If they have a web presence, I can't find it.
