This company-NCO Financial Systems- calls repeatedly. We've told them that our son with the same name has a Capitol One account, have given them his telephone number and address, and still get calls.

I'm going to take legal action.

These ppl didnt call me, but they called the mgr of my apt bldg to ask her to give me a message to call them. I have absolutely no idea how they got the apt bldg manager's phone #, & she is highly pissed, n told me she wasnt an answering service!
Isnt it illegal to call totally unrelated ppl abt debts? I actually dont know that I have a debt Im aware of, but thats what they told her,

I just got a phone call from this same number for my father in law.  I told my mother-in-law not to give my phone number out for all of the payday loans she has taken out, but she does anyways. Im thinking they might be a collection agency for more than just capital one people but I could be wrong.

I am an 85 year old person getting these ridious phone calls. I do not even own a Capital One Credit Card. and they ask all kinds of personal questions like where I live etc. This number should be shut down and closed by the FCC. I will want a lawsuit if they continut to harress me. I have a heart condition and so not need this

Someone from this number keeps calling asking for someone I've never heard of.  When I tell them this, they hang up, but keep calling again anyway.  I tell them to stop calling, but they keep calling.  Is this some kind of fraud or scam?

A person will answer and report themselves as NCO Financial working on behalf of Capital Cone when calling back 888-579-0626, but if you call the number on the back of your credit card, that Capitol One says that 888-579-0626 is not their number and they are not working on behalf of Capitol One.  Go figure.

To those who sent "Cease and Desist" letters:  If you sent it, not naming phone contact, but just paper contact, they can still call you. You have to name both clearly to have it go into effect.
DNCR: This does not apply to them because you have a contract with them. If you do not and you do call back... that opens the door for them to be able to call you. That is for anyone, that calls and leaves a message, any business, telemarketer, anything.... DO NOT CALL BACK. They then are bound to not call you according to the law.  A CREDIT CARD IS A CONTRACT. They can and will call you, call you as many times as they want, 5 or 6 times is a limit per day in some areas.  They want the $$$. Some people can not afford bankruptcy.  If you find yourself on Social Security, they can not attach with a judgement any of these funds if this is your only and sole income. Just do not deposit anything else, even that "Christmas $" you got from someone. That shows as extra $$ in your account and they can attach what ever amount they want.  CALL for information for the state you live to find out the particulars in your area.

They keep calling says, It is personal, asking for a person not living at our house

I have gotten two calls from this number this week, asking for someone who I have never heard of.  I Googled to see what company this is.  I do not have a Capitol One card.  This is really weird.

Called back asked for Andrew, they claimed there is only an Andre working there, this punk name Deago refused to transfer me. Said that he could help. Before I knew it, he hung up on me! I called back and was speaking with an agent that sounded Spanish and never heard of this person named Deago, I got frustrated and hung up. They call mr five to six times a day!! Please stop calling

Get this, a guy name sheck, obviously from India, could noteven pronounce Wilma, she is my mother, but doesn't live here. Just the fact that he couldn't speak English,I gave him the run around and told him I didn't know her. Frustrate these ppl and they may stop calling you!

Spoke with an agent By the name of Aheem, could not understand a word he said. Then he trasferred me to a supervisor name Hafary, could not understand him either! Where r these ppl located! Dubai, Pakistan, India!? Why are they calling? Ihad this number well over 20 years, they are asking for John, I get a message daily asking to call back this number!!! Stop calling me

Have you ever heard of such a place that pays employees to call wrong parties looking for money? Why else would a collection agency be calling? Most of there employees sound indian or foreign from over seas. I fell upon a funny but proffessional caracter called Andrew, he sounded like he was from the middle east, he is the first and last person I ever spoke to because he actually removed my number! I haven't received a call since. Ask for Andrew nice guy and gets the job done! Everyone else can't speak English how do you expect them to remove a number. I would love to talk to this so call Jason Hunter, but they refuse to put him on the calls.

They keep calling, I asked to speak to the manager Mr Hunter located out of Montreal Canada, it sounds like they have a bunch of Indians working there that just got of the boat. They refuse to put him on the phone but some girl by the name of basara replies that she can help!! Help me get off of your stupit call list the person your calling for doesn't live here!!

The line is silent when I answer the phone, then someone hangs up.  If I'm not home, they leave a silent message.

they just called my house and this happens every single day. every time i pick up the phone nothing and then when im not home they leave a silent message. this is really getting annoying. i hope they just block the stupid number so none of this should happen again.

Got another one from 888-579-0626 just now at 5:35PM April 27, 2011.  THIS time an electronic female voice said "hold on for an important message" (this on my answering machine).  Then continued with "all our associates are busy" and then hung up...hmmm...what a pain these people are...still do not have a Capital One or even know of any outstanding bills that NCO should be contacting me.  I can't wait until my "Do Not Call" kicks in (about another two weeks maybe).

This is NCO - they were calling for Capital One.

I tried talking to them and told them I was recording it also.  They got all bothered and said I do not have their permission to record the call.  Then I said they don't have permission to record me.  They  said they would have to terminate the call if I kept recording the call - I said I had to keep recording it - and they hung up.

I called Capital One from the number on the bill - NCO again, still I could not record them, but they were recording me.

15 mintues later another call from that number, and different person - still would say I did not have permission to record them.  They would have to terminate if I kept recording - and I had to keep recording for quality purposes.

I wonder why they do not want to be recorded.  And this did sound like the branch out of India, or employing a lot of folks that sound Indian.

I keep getting calls from this 800 number 8885790626 when I'm not home, I check the caller ID and that's how I know. The last call from them was 20 mins ago and the answering machine picked up the short message in reference to some kind of collection, no business name given. I tried to call them back and was on hold for some time before I finally hung up. Who are they?

I called back to tell them to stop harassing me. Have never had a Cap 1 card and I am on the do not call list. Turns out someone with different middle initial opened an acct w/my phone number and the rest of my name. I gave my address to Cap 1 so that they could send me fraud info and straighten this out. Today I rec'd a letter asking for every piece of my info including copy of license and copy of ss card, etc telling me they would straighten it out. I also received a letter telling me that they had determined that I am liable and they are pursuing me. Spent more frustrating hours on the phone being transferred and disconnected. They want my ss# to pull my good credit report. I pay my bills every  month and have good credit. I don't trust them now that they have my address and are sending me paperwork saying they are going after me. I have told countless reps my dob and last 4 of ss # but all for naught. I was stupid to give any information to these frauds. Beware!!!! They seem to be trying to get all my info to pin it on me. Why  is the burden on me to prove who I am when they should have checked out the identity of whomever they are issuing cards to?!? Now I'm wondering if the person really used my phone number in the first place or if they found one on their own.

NO INFOMATION JUST KEEP CALLING MY CELL

After I answered a hispanic lady said she was looking for ****** who is my ex-fiance's sister. They called last night wanting to talk to the same person. I've told them both times that I don't know where she is and that they have the wrong number. I think I will just add them to my phones block feature.

They are relentless..they call from many different #'s.  I have lost my job and paying as much as I can..I only owe $1500.00.. I get a call from "Linda" saying they can help.. but when I call back, There is no Linda to speak with. All I want from them is to accept a repayment plan.

these people are calling us and want us to give them the account number eventho these accounts are paid off. when we ask them the account no. they are calling about they refuse to tell us ,plain harresment.

This number is a scam. I telephoned Cap. One and they have no record of this number in any of their departments.
