I received a phone call this morning from bith these numbers. When i called back and it was the same people and i said something about it, they hung up on me. Its scary they knew my social security number.

They have also bin harassing me for a third party and told me all his personal information on a so called debt owed referring a bounced check and that if it wasn't paid as soon as possible they were going to put out a warrant for an arrest. When I asked when it was made and where he said she should know where and when. Red flag there. I said well how do you want me to notify HIM if I can't even tell Him what or where it was made and again he replied like I said she should know where and when. I said dont you mean he . I told that idiot sarcastically ok message received I go ahead and pass the message that he should go pay the you know what that was bounced and you know where and when... = ) after a couple of weeks just received a text from 8169298760  that they will be expecting my call regarding my payment...  Bunch off bs TERS...

Received a text from 826-929-8762 to contact 888.583.9974 regarding my payment... First thing I done I was goggled the # they wanted me to call back... Thx to this site I didnt bother calling. I found it strange because I kno who I have debt with and this wasnt a familiar #, on top of tht I received it in a text. I wrk in customer service and if I dont know anything else I know debt collection doesn't come in the form of a text...

Got text from 816-929-8759 to contact 888.583.9974 regarding payment ... who are these people?  I don't owe any money to anyone.

Got the same text from 816-929-8761...do not know who they are...

Got the same text and put them straight on the block list.

They just texted my damn phone from 816-929-8758 WTF is this game???

Next time they call and ask for personal info, tell them to send you a subpoena.  And never listen to voicemail just before you go into a doctor's office :-)

Same number, same company, same type of message, different person (this time some lady named Natalia) called the same place.  She called after hours and left a message.  I'm still trying to figure out if I should just ignore them completely or laugh in their faces, call them out for being the scammers they really are, and tell them they will get nothing and like it.  The call type is loosely categorized as "debt collector" though I'm sure they are not a real collection agency.

That's exactly the same kind of message I got.  Michael Posatano (or some surname sounding like that) was the caller from AFB and Associates, and he placed calls to my office, my mother, and one of my friends, which is very annoying and very illegal.  Michael and AFB are in violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and also in violation of other laws concerning consumer fraud and abuse.  Thank you for posting your report.  It helped me not fall for this pack of lies and helped me assure my friends and family that it's not what it sounds like.

my sister has been getting calls from these people trying to get a hold of me.  they left my personal information on her voice mail!!!  i called the number back from a public phone and they didn't even verify my identity before the first rep transferred me to another rep completely ignoring my questions on who i was calling and who i was talking to!!  the second rep offered up personal information with out verifying i was who i said i was and then tried getting more information from me and wanted me to try to pay over the phone with him.  I have been in customer service for too long to not get a red flag just from the first rep!!!!  and i know my state laws when it comes to bill collectors.  he wanted a number to get a hold of me at and i told him that i am requesting to be notified of anything by mail, then he threatened to submit the case to the courts and wished me luck and hung up on me!!!.  AND HIS NAME WAS STEVE! when i asked for a physical mailing address they would only provide a P.O. Box mailing address.....HUGE RED FLAG!

Got a call at my work number from a Steve with AFB and Associates. Sent me a text on my cell phone as follows: " My name is Steve with FT and Associates and received an affidavit of us have a complaint in reference to a civil doesn't claim pertaining to ____(my first and last name misspelled and mispronounced). As of now I have not submitted your written order of execution against your name social security number or your drivers license as of yet. I at least need a deposition of intent upon this claim". TOTAL SCAM. You would think that if they want to ACT so legal they would do a better job of wording their bogus information. Also left a contact number of 1-877-764-9808 extension 126. People, DON'T FALL FOR THIS!!!

Recieved calls from this company also, threatened to take me to court and have me served at home or on the job...the are debt collectors braking major FGC pratice acts laws!!

Called my home and asked for a particular party, I then asked them not to call again.  Immediately he proceeded to give me all the party's personal information about the debt and threatened to prosecute. He then asked would I pay their debt.  He was constantly talking over me and I continue to say don't call here and told him that what he was doing in the state of Ohio was against the law, he hung up.

Scammers using intimidation and threats of legal action to collect on some type of debt. Can't understand these SOB's. Numerous complaints filed against this company, located in NY.  Do not give them any personal or banking info and DO NOT agree to pay them anything.  Google this phone number and it will be an eye opener.

AFB and Assoc. Scam debt collectors who use threats, intimidation and illegal scare tactics and ID themselves as "fraud department" "Agents", etc.  Often threaten to have the police show up at your home or workplace.  DO NOT give these idiots any of your personal or banking information.
