they just call and hang up

I got a call from this number today and they made threats to me.

Stop this unknown caller

Asked for my wife and asked her or I to call back ext 171.
Obviously a scam.

They called me today, twice, back to back when I didn't answer the first time, which they DID leave a msg, but it was just "This is a msg for ------------------ please call Brandi back at 888-587-2936." Well at least got my name right.

I don't plan on calling back. I have before from a diffrent number. I know it doesn't have anything to do with Verizon as I've never used them, and it's not BOA bc I've never had an account with them either.
It may be Direct Buy, that's the only thing I am defaulted on other than an $88 hospital bill from 2001. Which should be totally off my record by now.

I was once told every time you answer whether you talk to someone or not, it starts the ability to collect from scratch. So, my suggestion, unless you want to pay or feel you do owe the debt, don't answer.

I've received calls from this company - they never leave a message, and when I call back, they can't find my number in their system.

Here's the crazy part:
I've never banked at Bank of America - ever, ever, ever.
and my Verizon bill is paid in full every month - or I wouldn't have a phone for them to call and harass me on.

I have been getting calls from this number for well over 8 months now.  They never leave a message.  They call about once a week to every 10 days.  They've called me as late as 7:45 but I always miss their call.  (They usually call during the work day when my phone is off.)

this is a scam. this guy is near bartsow, ca. I know where his company is and I'm on my way there now! He scares people into thinking they owe money and most people pay $400 to $800 at a time. I do not owe anyone money, but I am going to deliver a special gift when I find him and his staff! These guys are complete idiots if the think they can't be found.

I just called from these people 16 minutes ago. Everytime I get a call from them I say "hello" and then the phone goes dead. I don't know who these people are but they won't talk to me. I wish they would stop. If I owe money or they want to tell me that I owe something fine, but stop hanging up the phone on me please. It is starting to really irritate me.

This caller keep bother me all the time ,every days ,never leave any messages never talk ,and keep calling ,that is real bad action to bother personal freedom and privatcy ,I will sue up this company their phone is 1-888-587-2936

this number same thing with me. calling me for weeks. doesn't leave a msg. n just called me just now. i decided to look up this number n this site pops up! i have no idea who or what it is but im not answering

My home has received several calls from this number in the past few days. At one point they asked my wife for the last 4 digits of my social security number - she did not give it. I have not returned the call yet to Nina Lonz x124, so, I don't know what it is all about.

Received a call 10 mins ago from a Tim at ext 128, either scam or bill collector.  Sounds like a scam if they are asking for social #s

Recieved a call from them but it only rung once and it ended so perhaps they realized they had the wrong number. Either way it was annoying.

I received a call this morning from a Karen Tucker at NFG with regard to a debt collection. She did create an "atmosphere of hostility" as noted by another person on this page. I offered her the only solution that I have available and was accused of "taking this situation" too lightly and that she would start the  collection process immediately. She gave me no chance to really try to work with her then accused me of swearing at her--which, I admit, I did--and then threatened to call my husband, probably to get him to beat me when he got home from work.
After she hung up on me and my trying to call the phone number back, I called the company who was threatening collection. I talked to a manager there and a solution was calmly, rationally, and politely agreed upon.
Far as I'm concerned, Karen needs to be taught a good set of manners and a good set of skills for dealing with the public.

This call was received in California, It is the second call today at 10:30am Never heard of the number.  I called back the first time, some one answered but wasn't very clear who it was. I called back again blocking my number, and the phone just rang until it sounded disconnected.

Very Annoying. Very Disturbing. If there was a way to saturate their or "his" phone to the point of uselessness that would be quite something.

this 888-587-2936 caller ID number is a big jack-off  company ,all year long keep calling me ring 3 times and hang up ,everyday and everyday ,no talking ....no messages ......and never stop ,I wish FBI or Fed gorvenment or nay polices power need to stop them .how many people got bother and lost their private life for this a hassement phone call !

I want to know who is calling from this number, what company etc.  What is that they are wanting....

I have received numerous calls at my place of work as well as home. I do not know why they are calling me but, I have requested they never call my work and still again today 3-19-09 called my work. I want this to stop immediately.

Claims that i owe some money and i dont. The name of the company as she said is National Financial Group

they call every day sometimes ten to twenty times a day. i never answer, they never leave messages. if i do answer they hang up or have some automated message. i usually just answer and hang up now. its no more than a minor annoyance i have learned to live with.

i've gotten calls from this number 3 times in the last week. I'm not in default in any account and never answer numbers like that. They haven't left a message. Now I'm gald I didnt!

I got a call from these guys recently.  They say I owe some $$$ from Bank of America.  The money they say I owe is $15 over the original thing that BofA claims.  The amount is actually three  no activity fees and a bunch of money for the state wanting money from the account (a tax Lien) that didn't have any money in it.  All fees on a closed account.  Sorry, I don't pay those.  The previous collection company (LTD Financial) appears to handed over their debt (they got it from BofA) to these guys.  Note that these people pay 0.25% (in my case less than a buck) for the debt, so they want to make money.  In my case (with overhead) they will probably blow it after a couple of calls (like the last guys!).

a guy named David called and wanted me to pay off a debt that i owed to Bank of America. Question was, i already paid it off. When i told him this he said that we didn't pay threw them (no s***) and to give him a receipt number. It didn't make any sense because i paid my debt by calling the number off the site. Hello. I told him that he couldn't be legit so he hung up on me.

Some lady call Ibeth Diaz is calling and calling, she said I own many to some company that she doesn't know. She also gave me a website: www.ncgpay.com for make my payment, but if you pay right away can get a discount...
Is this legal, from where some fake company get your name and pepsonal information???
Where can we report this kind of act..
