I also received a $9.10 charge for Site Services, with this number listed. It's a creepy sounding computer voice voicemail number. I also reported it to my bank as fraudulent. This happened recently (1-16-08).

Checked credit card statement, found a $9.05 charge on 1/14/2008 from a Site Services.  Called the #, got a weird recording about it being a voice message service, leave message and someone will call back.  Left 1st name, work # and that a charge was on my credit card.  Will be calling my bank to have it taken off.  Weird, weird, weird.

This is strictly a fraud. You will have to cancel your card and have a new one issued. Go to 800notes.com and enter the suspect number and use the link provided by MGD on Jan. 17 for full details. Do not phone a suspect phone number as it will allow them to retain your phone number for future use.

They got me for 9.05 on my debit card. Called the number 3 times and got no return call. I filed a complaint online at IC3.gov. Cancelled my debit card and got a new one. The only thing I did new recently was use the google pay. It's like pay pal but with google. I don't know if its related or not.

I was charged with 9.05 and given that number. The number is no longer in service.I found this on my bank statment.

I found a charge from "site services" on my March 08 bank statement as well. $9.05  I called the number, got the same "voice message service" answering machine. Sounded fishy right from the start... I immediately phoned my bank and went in to sign an "unathorized transaction" paper. They cancelled my card right away. I had googled the number & brought them the information showing that others had the same thing happen by this place but they acted like unless it was a wide spread situation with their customers they wouldn't do much about it.
It hard to believe when there is proof that many people have had money stolen that banks would be so complacent about fraudulent activity.
Hopefully someone catches these crooks!

Found same charge on March 08 statement for 9.10.  Call to number didn't get anyone.  Since I haven't used this card since Oct 06 (at west valley/mission college in Santa Clara, CA) I knew it was a fradulent charge.  It is a Bank of America account.  If others could share information it might help trace the source of how the crooks got our credit card numbers.  Of course don't post anything that will get you defrauded again.

Same thing for me...charged 9:15 on Feb 13. Now other charges are showing up...cancelled the card and am going to set up a fraud alert with the creidt bureaus. very frustrating.

Charge $9.10 on 3/17/2008...Called telephone number - not in service - cancelled my credit card.

I recieved a charge of 9.65 today!Reported this and like the rest of you,cancelled my card.If this has been going on for this long, why is nothing being done about it?9.00 x hundreds of people adds up fast.Something needs to be done.

World Trad 1-877-225-8813 showed up as a debit in my checkbook.  Number is not in service.  Have to cancel my debit cards now!

A charge of $9.15 was made to my credit card by Site Services in May. This is a card that DOES NOT have a link to or was ever used on e-bay or by paypal. This is the second time in three months that my card has been compromised by two different scam agencies. Check you bills and choose to use a credit card over a debit card when you make on-line purchases.

Had the same thing, 9.05 just had a mysterious charge on my checking account yesterday, no calls or anything.  called them after getting the number from my bank account and left a message then I filed an internet fraud report with the FBI, and then went to my bank to dispute the transaction.  The bank refunded me the money, but said the card number that was used my old ATM card which I had gotten rid of 3-4 weeks ago after getting a new one, and yes I cut it up before throwing it out.  Very odd for the old card to be used like that, but if you see this charge immediately go to the bank or call and alert the fraud department while also filing a FBI report.  Then I called back the place and told them about the FBI report to maybe get them to return my call but at this point my money is refunded but I will need to keep an eye on the account for a little while to see if they do it again.

Got the same charge from "SITE SERVICES" for $9.10 on 5/11/2008.  My credit card company removed the charge and stated they are seeing more of these mysterious charges these days.

Equifax is one of the leaks, signed up for Credit protection and then started getting bogus charges on the account I used to pay Equifax to protect my credit.  Ironic.

I didn't get a call but my checking account was charged $9.15 on May 3, 2008.  I am in the process of hearing back from my bank as to what this is all about.

I had a $9.10 charge dated 3-3-08 on my Visa from a company called Site Services. I called the number and it was disconnected. Vias just removed the charghe from my account.

Ok, the phone # was different but the scam is the same... $9.10 charge on my credit card by 'Site Services', the phone # goes to voice mail.  Closed my account.  Was waiting for this cuz I was stupid enough to open a scam email that appeared to be from paypal.  Should have cancel my CC that day!

This is to clarify the post my husband made. In November a mysterious charge was made on my Bank of America debit card less than a week after making an online purchase. It was for 10.65 to "Sensate Technology", 805-275-2235,CA. If you look that number up on this site there are 297 posts since 11/20/07 including the one I just added to let them know I've been hit again on a different card, company, amount and phone#. This time it was on our Bank Midwest credit card for 9.05 to "Site Services", 888-590-9662. This card hasn't been used since October and those were POS purchases, not online or phone. When I pay the bill online it's with our checking info, not a debit/credit card. Last time I cancelled the card, a new one was issued, filed a fraudulent claim report, not a disputed claim and filed a report online to the Federal FBI Internent Crimes Department. Will have to do the same thing all over again. Seems it may have something to do with security breaches of the companies businesses use to process their payments. Supposedly it was mainly the "Mom and Pop" businesses and the bigger companies who have their own internal payment processing were not quite as at risk but nothing would surprise me. There are rumors of E-Bay/Pay Pal issues and it may be a world-wide scam. On the other thread there are people being hit more than once and department store cards being involved like JC Penny and Cabelas. It can be from making a purchase at the actual business in person.  I may go back to doing things the old-fashion way in person and mail with checks and cash like I did a few years ago before all this internet crap came around. My husband used to make fun of me for it. He's the debit card king but for some reason so far it's only occuring when I've done something. Wouldn't someone take interest or notice if no one ordered over the internet or phone or used debit/credit cards?

Got the same charge as everyone else $9.15 on 2-27-08 on my bank statement.  What a rip!  Have to cancel card to have it investigated.  What a pain.  Just think who ever this is has got a lot of dough now.

I just found that someone had charged the shipping and handling to Botox on my account.... that I have been told by my physician not to use due to sensitive skin..I am so glad that this was sent to me..Now I know what to do, and will get right on it,not to mention that I have never received the product in the mail...

same thing here. on the phone with bank as i type. The only thing i can think ofis Ebay. ( i noticed this mentioned in the above post. I have been on Ebay all weekend, buying stuff, then this happens.hmmmmmm....

Ditto on my CC for $9.15.  My bank was trying to tell me I may have done this unknowingly, since the description of the company is given as computer maintenance.  Thanks to this site and another one, I put my foot down and closed the account.
