My bank account was debited $100.95 from this number. How did that happen??? Just great!! I don't have a debt for this amount that I know of...I am reporting this..

I also recieved a call from Todd McFadyen looking for a person that I am not related to (though I do know him).  Considering how quickly the identity of the company can be found, I would think this is a breech of privacy.

My Dad let me know that they received a call for MY HUSBAND!!  Seriously?  Calling the In-laws? Guys name was Oren Lowry. Wouldn't tell my dad why he was calling or the company name.

I don't have a iota of an idea who these people are but my story is about the same. They called my mother-in-law looking for me. And being a smart lady, she just took a message.

My mother in law received a phone call for me under my maiden name today to call this number saying it was a company called Knights Land.... They asked for a contact phone number for me which they already have because they relentlessly call me for an unknown reason. Messages left by this company are always automated. I do not give my SS# out over the phone if they cannot look up the reason they are calling with my name or the damn number they called me on I CALL B***S***. I asked them to identify which company they are calling on behalf of and never got an answer. I would be more likely to call THE credit card company or what have you.... that I had an outstanding bill with (which i dont) then deal with  a debt collector anyway.

some guy named matt barry called from this number looking for my sisters husband who is stationed over seas in the military he knew his dads name and i kept asking him what it was about he said it was personal bussiness and never would give me a straight answer im glad i looked this number up and have seen all the posts about it

Does anyone know who this debt collector collect for?  I filed chapter 7 a few years ago and there have been a couple debts show back up that are protected and I'm not behind on any of my new debt so I'd like to know before I do anything.  The problem is, you can't get past them unless you give them your social security number which I WILL NOT do.

these people just called my job leaving this # with my coworker asking me to give Edward a call. I am not calling these people back; they must think i am crazy; if y want me to answer your questions then answer mines...

I just got a message asking for some one that has my maiden name but asking for jospeh.  We don't have anyone in the family with that first name.  When asked where she was calling from she stated she was calling from a company in Virgina.  When asked what company she stated it was from URS.  The number they were calling me from was a local number but gave me 888-593-8403 was the main number.  Wonder if that is legal.  We have no outstanding debt so I don't know why they would call us.

They just called our house and left a message to call Edward at ext 2311.  When I called back they said Edward was not there but they would assist me.   They asked for our house # and last four digits of my SSN#.  When I told them I do not give out SSN# info over the phone they hung up.

For one she dosen't lie on the job, and she is my mother.

This just happened to me 10 minutes ago & I had to google it because I knew it was highly suspicious! Someone called & asked for my brother. It was a local number - that's why I answered it. I told her that he was at work. She then said she was really trying to reach my dad. I said that he didn't live there. She then asked me where he lived. I asked her what it was regarding & she said it was a "private business matter". She then asked if my mom lived there & I told her no (even though she does) & she asked me for my mom's name. So I told her that I wasn't answering any more questions & hung up. They are very sneaky, so be careful!

Received a call from 602-903-2495 but when they leave a message they ask you to call back  888-593-8403 x 2216 - Lori Campos. If your Capital One account has been charged off they send your account to URS (United Recover Services) They have also called my home phone also with another local area code phone number, so your more likely to pickup.

Unknownname appears with this number in which I do not answer the phone.  Now today they called my brother-in-law looking for my husband.  Said his name was james best have no ideal who he is.

So I get a call from my NEPHEW yesterday that someone is calling his Mother, a woman that lives in Brooklyn, NY that I have not seen since August 1994, asking about me and information to get a hold of me.  I was like WHAT?
It is this company again.
Sad thing is I spoke to the man myself. There is no need to contact anyone if I am getting back to you so stop trying to find me through others... It is ridiculous.

So someone suggested I contact Federal Trade Commission (

Just called MY JOB and left me a message.  When I called back I just got URS.  I asked the guy who picked up what the company did and he said they could not tell me.  So he asked who I was and I told him I was not saying either and to give me Matt.
They transfer me to Matt and all I did was inform MATT that LEGALLY, NO COLLECTION COMPANY can all a business phone at all for any reason what so ever when they are told it is a business number.  I spoke to my lawyer about this and she told me it is absolutely ILLEGAL for this to happen.  I also found since I use my Cell Phone for business, they cannot call me there either.  Now note that they won't quit on my cell phone when the calls started until I started to Curse, then they told me I was not to use language like that and I told that B*TCH that she had NO RIGHT to call me on my Cell when I told her it was a business line and that now she really had no right to tell me how to talk on my own cell phone and I NEVER RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL from them.  
So just saying people.
Get AGGRESSIVE with them.  They expect to talk to weak people, but you get tough with them and they bow down like cowards.

URS United Recovery Systems a Debt Collector.

The number (888) 593-8403 with the name Colette Hill showed up on my caller ID so I picket up the phone and said hello!. This sweet lady asked me if this was the residence of so and so and I said yes. She was looking for some one that lived in my neighbor hood and wanted to know if I knew him and if he still live there and if I had his home phone number. I said I don't know for sure if he still lived there but I think so. I asked her why she wanted to know and she asked me if there was some kind of home ownership association in the area that set up codes to build by. Well, I do live in a small part of town that you can only build certain kind of houses. So you can see this kind of sounds a little legit and it caught me off guard. I again asked her why she needed to call him for this association number and again she just asked me if I had his number. I said all I could do is pass on the request and her phone number. Such a sweet, sweet woman caught me off guard. I looked up the number and it was URS United Recovery Systems a Debt Collector. So this debt collection agency does not put out their ID on the phone. They put a regular name on the Caller ID to fool you. VERY, VERY TRICKY YOU SWEET, SWEET TRICKY WOMAN. I will not fall for this one again

I just received a call from an Angela from the Company URS. She was looking for my ex mother in law whom I havent spoken to in over 10 years. I asked if she was a creditor and she said she was just needing to get in touch with her for business. But number that showed up on my phone was a local number. But gave 888-593-8403 x 2495 as a call back number. Weird..

My Mother received a call from a Steven Miles asking for me in my maiden name.  I do not even live in the same state as my Mother.  He didn't state his business but I have no outstanding loans or debts. Now I am concerned someone has secured a fraudulent loan in my name.

I received a call from this nice man named Adam Acosta wanting to know if I new a person by such and such name.  I asked why they were calling me, he said that it was public record that I was a nearby neighbor of such and such person.  I politely took his name and number.  I'm going to let such and such decide if they are going to call back.   I don't like sneaky, I don't do it, and I don't like others that do it.

Who are these people.  They tracked me down at work! I don't return calls I don't know source.

Well, here is the skinny- They are a collection agency called United Recovery Systems.  I spoke with a guy there who had called my business looking for my cousin whom I havent spoke to in years.  I have siblings I dont get a chance to visit, I surely got no time for cousins in my life.  I ended up here investigating what they are, so now I know.  At the end of the day, he was a nice enough guy, but I dont get a warm fuzzy that he calls any number associated with "my last name".  Good luck, if they owe money, they arent paying because they dont have it.  Its not the line of work I would want to be in.
