"Frank Roberts" is still at it.  Just changed the toll free number you are supposed to call now.  When he called it appears as a local number.  The number he leaves to call back is 877-585-3975.  Same message though..wants to verify my address so that I can be served.  Really?  No one calls to say you are going to be served with court papers, they just find you and do it.  He has called my cell, my office phone, my manager and the receptionist at my job.  My manager was asking me all kinds of questions like "well do you owe them".  I was like, "please this is one of the biggest scams going."

'Frank Roberts' calling from Lockport NY from the 'Dept of Investigations' saying I'll be served w papers of fraud charges against me if I don't pay a past debt to Crefit One bank.  He has called all of my family members and called me a liar.  He says he is placing my home on his route today to serve me if I don't pay now.  

He is nasty.  I have reported it to www.ftc.gov.  

I received calls from a 314- number (I live in St. Louis) at my work and my mother's home stating that I had been 'served' on two charges. Left a fake claim number and a call-back number of 1-866-802-5870. Called and got a automated message saying that the company was called "Global" . I spoke with someone saying I owed $960.00 for a payday loan from 2008. They couldnt give me the name or original amount of the loan. They said the claim stated that the charge was from 'Multiple' which could mean one of many different companies. Then she tried to make a deal with me saying that I could pay $300.00 today and installments of $150.00 bi-weekly. If I didnt pay her, I would be 'served' with papers at my job and home and have to go to court for charges of breach and fraud. Yeah effing right! I have been contacted by attorneys before for old debts, and usually they provide you with every detail, down to a copy of the contract you signed. This is a definite SCAM, and a bad one at that. I hung up and filed a complaint with the MO attorney general at ago.mo.gov. I was told by the MO Consumer Complaint office that if they call back, simply say "This is a scam. I have already reported you to the authorities" and hang up. I have instructed my mother to do the same. Lets see how long this ridiculousness lasts after that.....TBC

I have received messages which I have saved and reduced to recording from a man who identifies himself as Anthony West, who says he is the chief administrator of Global. Comes from a number which indicates it is "withheld"
What legitimate debt collector or business will not disclose their number? What legitimate debt collector will not send you a debt validation letter?
As for the threatening one that calls from a local number, I have saved those messages too and recorded them.
This Global is a piece of work!

This is a scam.  They're trying to recollect on bills that I've paid and have proof that were paid.  If your debt is sold to a third party collector.  They can keep trying to collect on amounts even if you've paid it in full.  I told them that I would see them in court and that I have proof that this isn't an outstanding bill
888-604-1398.  Spoke with a David Johnson (Senior Rep) the initial customer service agent had no clue.

This IS a scam. They called my place of employment and my fathger, who lives in another state. Left the same message threatening to serve me papers. When I called them back (from an untracable number) they gave me no info on their address or fax number or what this was concerning.
I reported them to the DA and Attorney General. I got a call back the the PA Attornet General saying it is a scam. Tell them you know so and they're already looking into them.
If this happens to you please report it. The more people that file a complaint the more likely they'll get shut down!

Exact same thing for me.  They have called my mobile as well as my Home phone asking for my home address and/or work address so that I can be served!  If these people are a so-called "collection agency," wouldnt they have a mailing address?  Seems very odd!!!  Every time they call, the caller ID shows a different number, from states all over the US.  The message says my name, to call back 1-888-604-1398 and that I have been NOTIFIED in a very rude tone!

Yes this is definitely a scam they called me  recently saying i am going to be served from this one company. I remember they tried calling me 6 months ago saying I was going to be served from a different company. Somehow they get all your info online even your family, and try to scare you.  They will call from  number that has an area code from where you live. Then directs you to call this 888-604-1398.

Hey "me too" thank you for your response. Seems that this Global feels that they do not have to abide by the fair debt collection laws.

Yes, another message today from Frank Roberts saying he is sending me charging documents. There is an elementary school in California named Frank Roberts. Glad you have reported this too. It must be an unlisted number he is calling from it does not show up on called id. The number he says to call is 1-888-604-1398. I refuse to call him back. He also called on Tuesday. I am ignoring the calls. It is just a scam.

Some local number called me  and left me a threatening message saying that I had charges and a claim against me but to call 1-888-604-1398 for my "options". Said in a threatening voice "this is your final notice"
This man also left a threatening message on my office phone. When one tries to call the local number back, there is a message stating "this department of investigation phone does not receive messages" then an automated operators voice stating "leave your message after the tone" but then it states "caller cannot accept more messages" Very strange.

Called the 888 number and they state that they are a pre-litigation firm in California called "Global" and wish to collect on an old payday loan. I asked them to send me copies of their paperwork to provide to my lawyer of which they refused. Asked them for a debt validation letter of which they also refused. The young man (Josh) sounded very frustrated and routed me to their "case manager." I hung up.
Why would these folks try to scare and intimidate people? Why not send the paperwork in the mail that they supposedly have.

I have contacted and made a complaint with the FTC and the state attorney general, as well as the CA Attorney General.

Received a call from some jerk named Mike from a firm who is very rude and threatning on the phone, he claimed there is a file pending on charges against me, he demanded to speak to offfice mgr. States I am officially being served, sounds like a wanna be collection agency that claims they are a firm. They are stupid and scams!!!

Called said there a Independent contractor and they was at my house to serve me and I need to call this 888 604 1398 number and if I dont show up at court they will return to my house or place of employment or pay the bill or else fake claim number and said the company name is Global

Just got a call from this number. It was on my answering machine. The guy said he was Frank Roberts. Wanted to verify my address. Gave a file number.  Said I sent them documents about charges. At the end of the message he says you have been notified. Glad to see this is a scam. Glad for the internet to find this out.

THERE WAS SOMEONE FROM THIS COMPANY THAT CALLED MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT IN A THREATENING WAY SAYING I'VE BEEN SERVED AND SOME OTHER THINGS MY BOSS SAID THAT WAS TOLD ON THE COMPANY ANSWERING MACHINE.

Called my dad, my place of employment and my sister in law's mother looking for me. They are claiming I owe $1400 and want immediate payment. Place called Global. What has me upset the most, is how did they associate me with my sister in law's mother? I owe noone. I paid everything I owed off a year ago andhave verification of it all. It's a scam. They try to scare you with threats of legal action to get you to pay out "x" amount of money, then there you are. They even make a phony claim number to make it sound legit.

call came from 801-657-4571, call back number was 888-604-1398, was very threatening, did not leave any more information in the message.

Has called my elderly parents and harrassed them and has called my sister harrassing her. Will not give any info.
