lWe are an elderly couple and got caught by these people to the tune of $5000  , this was a couple of years ago and our electric bill went up and our attic blows hot air whenever the air conditioner turns on. i"m so upset about it and wish someone would take them to court.  l wuld be happy to appear to stop them for doing this to others.

I received a card over the mail with this number. it says

FREE DINNER FOR 2 GIFT CARD  FOR CHILI'S AND ROMANO'S MACARONY GRILL
Please call the number for details..... between 9 to 9pm mon to fri....

I received several post cards from them stating, "WATER UPDATE. unfortunately we were unable to reach you...."

Thats not true. they do charge you for the meters, per month. around 10$ a month for the old school one.

One of these "Water update" guys called my wife today and kept pressing for her to let them do a "free" water inspection.  Was told multiple times, and apparently told my wife "Hope you enjoy your chlorinated water!"

i was an installer for this company i put the insulation in and let me tell you im having second thoughts about this company. we only get paid 100 dollars per job no matter how big or small...its under the table and im inexperienced...i had a heat stroke the other day and my "boss" some guy who is a contractor through eshield, refused to leave to get me to medical attention... when i finally did get home after 3 hours of travel i was rushed to the er and almost had to get surgery on my asophogus...so if that doesnt change your mind about this company then you have no soul...its not right for them to be scamming people into spending wayy to much money on installers that have little to no experience install cheap foam covered in foil wrap...im very young and im struggling to make ends meet , and now i feel like a jack*** because i was SO worried about money, that i didnt care about my health or the families of my customers who were being lied to. needless to say...something isnt right with this company.

OMG I got the same postcard today but it says "electric update!" followed by some crap about how they were unable to reach me by phone.  This comes just several weeks after I posted on this same website right here complaining about a phone number that kept calling me about my water.  The phone number they have on file is my private home office line, so the last time they called, I informed them that it was a private business line and I do not accept solicitations.  The guy got really sarcastic with me and asked me what kind of business I was in.  So I replied and asked him if they would please take my phone number off of their list.  He said "Um, NO!" and hung up on me!!! I was so mad!!!!!! Tried to call the number back, but it went to a recording telling me that the number was not in service.  I did a reverse search on the number and found out it's a cell phone.  Called back again and listened a little more carefully to the recording.  It sounds like the voicemail answers and the person who owns the phone just recorded one of those "not in service" messages to throw people off.  I am so ready to call and threaten them legally.  I blocked the cell number from being able to call in, they were literally calling me every day!!! Sometimes more than once!  So frustrating! I hope enough people complain and these people get arrested for harassment! Does anyone know how we can put a stop to this junk??

I have just applied for a sales position with home makeover systems. they seems very professional and offer a good program for people who need home makeovers. It didn't seem like any scam to me. They offer a good commission sale.
Anyone have any suggestions about this company?

Yeah, the sticker covers up the part where they aren't affiliated with electric company. I'm gonna send this and another piece of "pfishing" mail I received to the Florida Attorney General's office and let them investigate. Had it with these shady characters.

Hahah I got the same on. But address is same but COMPANY NAME is different so it is G.S.S.!???
Of course first thing if I have an address i look up google maps to see what is on that address. So take a look at that ! SCAM, please everyone never call, sign or do any agreement to enyoone wothout knowing 100% you know what you doing.

I have received 2 cards from them  It says "Water Update".  The number is (800)574-6127 and listed as GSS, 1604 N. Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, Fl32750.  I threw the first in the trash.  This one is going into the shredder.  This is nothing more than a scam and shyster operation.

Seriously, I was going to call but then I saw the micro-type asterisk at the bottom that said they're not affiliated with a utility company. Decided to google it instead.

Not that I would have ever let them into my home for an "inspection" after the call but I'm sure hundreds of others are. Dirtbags. Too bad the government doesn't work harder to stop predators like these.

It is a scam don't called them, don't ask the phone calls, they want your information and your money, please everyone be aware

got the same postcard in the mail 2day.. I googled the number and this is how I got here....The post office does not want to stop this kind of thing, it is a major money-maker for them....My advice just toss it

Also got a postcard in the mail yesterday that says "ELECTRIC UPDATE!" " Unfortunately we were unable to reach you by phone or in person.  Please contact us withing 72 hours.  Office Hours 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (888) 604-7328."  I called the # by blocking my phone # w/ *67.  Some guy answers the phone all giggling saying " Hello my name is Drew, how can help you?".  I just hung up.  I checked my electric account online to see if I was way behind on payments, but everything was just fine.  Also noticed at the bottom of postcard in small print: "*Not affiliated with any public or private utility company."  The return address listed is EOF, 1604 N. Ronald Reagan Blvd., Longwood, FL 32750.

This is the worst form of guerilla marketing tactics.  I called and got "Shasta" and told her to tell her employer to "F right the F off!"  She doesn't even identify the company when you call, for obvious reasons, but claims to be "a good christian woman"! Now come on, "Shasta" aren't christian women supposed to have some integrity?  To whom do we report this? Any ideas, I'm going to work on this one, maybe a local television station would like to follow up on it, or local talk radio. . .

Just received my "water update" blue card in Rockledge FL, same shady tactics out of 1604 N. Ronald Reagan in Longwood, with 800-574-6127 as the contact line.  I am glad I did a simple google on "EOF Longwood FL" and found this info from this blog.  Thanks all.

I saw EShield of Longwood at the Home &Garden show in Orlando recently. Came out to the house, did the energy inspection, sales pitch all the way. Cost 9775.00. I said noway, by the end of the day which was about 3hrs the cost was 6600.00 ($80/month). I even spoke to the senior VP some guy named Al who swore me to secrecy about the great deal I was getting. He even told me he drives a Bently. So I decided to check it out. And because of these comments and others I am going to decline this wonderful offer first thing in the morning. Thanks to all for the help
