Receiving calls from 888-606-9516 since 6 years. If anyone knows how to get rid of this it would be a relief not to hear the phone ring 3-4 times a day for nothing.

We are a business and recieved a automated message to call 888-606-9615 and reference a file #.
I did call back and the number was for Gatestone. I pressed 1 for English followed by 2 for Other Issues.
I was put on hold and after 2 minutes I got a voicemail box "Gatestone Bell Canada Commercial Department, Please leave a message" I hung up and called again. This time after following the prompts a man answered "Gatestone" I told him about the automated message and gave him the reference #.
He said it was taken care of yesterday by someone. I told him I recieved the call just 5 minutes ago.
He said that Peter Oaks spoke with one of my collegues yesterday and a payment was arranged.
The did confirm with my head office. The person I spoke with had very incorrect information, however, we did owe Bell money from a previous office address we had and a cheque was being prepared for BELL.
Looking up the Company Gatestone, it is a legit company, however, they make themselves seem fishy and do not supply or document accurate infomation. They also do not follow protocols of Privacy, for example, they should not be sharing information with anyone who has not verified who they are. He did not ask me any questions.

I get a phone call from them everyday and they usually call when I'm in a f****ng lecture! They always say, "this is a message for *in a robot voice*- the wallpaper shop- if you are the -wallpaper shop- please call our offices at blah blah blah" I tried googling the wallpaper shop to see if they existed, so far I've found nothing lol. This s*** is retarded.

these people are really dumb, they can only say -when are you going to pay-. they got brain washed. can you imagine their kids growing up and just keep saying -when are you going to pay. I don't want to see the next generation.
people if they call, then call back to them and just say FFFFFF you and hang up. its a toll free # any way

I get a call from this number several times a week.  It is very frustrating as it is an automated call

Get the persons license number and file a complaint with
Ministry

This is probably one of them posting that you have to get their license number
And file a complaint with the ministry they will get fired

these guys keep calling and hassling on an issue that is not related to me in any way shape or form. I cant shake them...

Got a call from this number and didn't answer. Instantly blocked the call from being able to call again after reading posts here. Haven't lived in Canada in over 10 years and was a minor at the time so Bell couldn't have any outstanding debts in my name.

Guys you shold play the same game ... they called me many many times so i answered to know how's this (fuc...) calling me none stop... so it's agent called Gate Stone asking for mony that i owned to bell canada... damne... never never had a contract with bell canada... i gave a big s*** to the guy ... now it's a robot calling me every week with out any message... so nothing to do... good luck !

I got a call from David Orr this morning too...about a bill from almost 2 years ago...if Bell sends you to collections, don't they send you a notice?

Yesterday and today I returned home from work to find a message on my home phone from Unknown Name/Private Number. Same message asking me to call 1-888-606-9615, ext 6736, and to provide ID# 131060014. Yesterday they used my name only. Today they added a Jane with my my last name. He told me to call as this is important. Haven't yet and will not call back.

If anyone can find where these calls are coming from, I would like to know. After reading these posts, I say it's time for a personal face to face introduction. I will check this page each day looking for an answer as to the location.

I just got a call/message from Gatestone that asked whether a person with my same last name would return their call (1-888-606-9615 ext. 6733 - David Ore with a file # _____22030). The name he asked about was my sister & hasn't had the our same last name as she was married 20 year's ago. He said it was very serious & sounded like a cop. I was initially extremely worried for her & did call back but he wasn't there. Then I clicked on the number & read all of your replies & thankfully my worries are over. Social Media to the Rescue!

These are scam artists, pretending to collect past due accounts on behalf of Bell Canada.  I called Bell and they are hopping mad.  They're investigating and, in the meanwhile, they will block my number so that these jerks can't bother me.  If they call you, call Bell and tell them what happened.  They ARE the telephone people, after all, and they will put a stop to it.

Two years I have received this recorded message

This number keeps calling me. When I answered the phone once there was a taped message saying: This call is for Goofy. If you are Goofy press 1 to talk to an analyst. Otherwise press 2. If these clowns don't take the time, they don't deserve my time and I hang up. One day I was curious to learn what's going to happen, I pressed 1. After a while I got a gay on the line telling me that I owe Bell a certain amount. When I asked him to proof that, the only thing that idiot could say was: You know what you owe to Bell. I told him again, then please proof me that. He mus be an idiot: He just said again: You know what you owe to Bell. At this point I got enough and blew a whistle as my answer.

This is not Bell calling. I called the number back and they identified themselves as Gate Phones. They are looking for a business (which I am not) so they can sell their product. They are not collectors. I asked them to take my number off their list. I hope they are true to their word.

They are still calling. I may buy a boat horn and let it blast in their ear the next time they call.

Same old same old. How can they be stopped? So tired of their calls.

I wish these calls would stop. They keep calling for a business. This is a residential house, not a business.

I've done some research on this and here's what I think is going on. The company calling is Gatestone formerly called Collectcorp. They have offices in Toronto at 415 Younge St and in Kingston and 16 Bath Rd. Probably have other offices across Canada. They may have an outstanding debt for someone with the same name as you and are doing an auto call to try and track him or her down which may or may not be genuine. Here's the scam part which I SUSPECT is going on: If you manage to actually speak to a person, he or she will try to assess how confident you are. If you hold your own they end the call. If the called person is hesitant; say an elderly person, then the rep will try to intimidate him or her. This is where Bell comes in. Many older people rely on the phone as their major link to others and so any threat to their phone service is a serious problem and they could be coerced into sending money to solve this non existent problem. The phone is of course not disconnected so the called person thinks the problem has been solved. Gatestone receives the money and the rep gets a commision.
I've sent a report to the CRTC (probably no help there) and to the RCMP Fraud people. Suggest we all do the same then the authorities may take action.

Interesting how many times Bell's name comes up in connection with these collection companies.

got a call today from this no. and someone named Jayson ask me to call him back but got already an experience with telemarketers so i googled this 1800-606-9615 before calling him back and so glad because i stumbled on this site!  I also asked my husband if we had missed any Bell payment he just told me that he had just paid everything this morning...

I received and I still receive a calls from those idiots asking to pay around 600CAD$ he even sent a fake bill I called Bell Canada to ask what about this bill that I received, they had no record for me in their system...
Guys, if you receive a call from those idiots don't hesitate to insult them... use all disgusting world he or she will hung up.... now I still receive a call from this number but no one on the line... only a strong noise...

These guys keep calling my number looking for someone that I know is no longer with us.  I could waste time explaining this a thousand times but honestly I have better things to do and ignoring them is so much more fun.
